It is, but I don't have a 4k netflix account yet, since I use my parents' netflix and we don't have a 4k tv yet :/ youtube content looks awesome (8k is even more awesome, even on a 4k monitor, but don't even attempt it without a 6 core cpu or 1070 or better) and productivity is very nice because of all the space :D

I see the g703 is kinda expensive (81 euros) but the G603 (59 euros) and the G305 (53 euros) also look good, are they worth it or do they have significant drawbacks compared to the 703?
2018-11-05 14:58
If you are able to save 20ish euros more I'd go for the g703 the difference is actually significant, but u would be okay with either g603 or g305, but im not really into those 2

G603 IS TRASH THERE'S A REASON WHY IT'S CHEAPER. The mouse is way too heavy when you put the batteries in. Get the G403 Wireless. It's the same as the G703 except you don't have the logitech powerplay option with the g403. SO unless you have the Logitech mousepad to charge the mouse wirelessly there's no difference. G603 is a brick and it sucks. There's a reason why you're saving almost 30 euros.

2018-11-05 14:47
People can tell whatever they want to, i'll rate it, pc specs or peripherals, I don't mind

8.5/10 from me, i'm not the op
2018-11-05 14:58
Thank you Mr. Carry, what can I improve in the setup? Currently on my list is headphones, GPU and the RAM when prices cool down. Have no intention of upgrading mouse or keyboard or monitor.
2018-11-05 15:03
Well, the op's has answer your question, upgrading the ram is a good option but it will not improve overall pc performance. Make sure you have ssd instaled. Look for gtx 1070, maybe if you lucky you will get second hand gtx 1070 in a good condition. The cpu will do just fine but maybe you should consider to upgrade it, maybe to r7 1700 because the price is dropped significantly
2018-11-05 15:25
I'm sticking with AMD because of FreeSync. I'm waiting for 7nm navi until I upgrade. I do want to upgrade the ram and will do so. Yes I do have SSDs and lastly 1700 really? you want me to spend over $200 for a CPU that is literally the exact same as mine in benchmarks (Read #48). Where is the logic in spending hundreds for an under 10% performance gain in an area that is not even the bottleneck? (would be the case with a normal 1600) because I can't see it.
2018-11-05 15:38
Ah i see, nvidia is milking their gpu so hard anyway More cores maybe ?
2018-11-05 16:20
8/10, i'd improve cpu and RAM only
2018-11-05 15:11
I actually got really lucky with the CPU and it came with 8 Cores and 16 threads :) techradar.com/au/news/some-ryzen-5-1600x.. Only South Korea and Australia got it as far as I know, I live in the latter. So I don't wanna get rid of it because it's special. Also my GPU is a bottleneck already so there's literally no point whatsoever in upgrading the CPU before the GPU. RAM is indeed on my list for an upgrade but I'm not going to bother until prices cool down a bit more.
2018-11-05 15:16
oh okay, that's actually really interesting ahahah, didn't know about that one. Yea, definitively 16GB Ram is necessary, and the difference is significant, probably the 1st thing you should focus on imo
2018-11-05 15:18
Meh haven't seen a RAM bottleneck in any game nor a CPU bottleneck but I have seen plenty of GPU bottlenecks in several different games which is why it's first on my list. I'll probably upgrade RAM and GPU at the same time.

Not a big fan of that keyboard although most of the people enjoy it. solid 10/10 personally I'd switch headphones, just cuz im not a big fan of wireless peripherals hehe.
2018-11-05 14:52
I'm using it wired at home, than I switch to wireless when I go to uni
2018-11-05 14:52
I'm not the op but that's a solid 10/10, the most balance setup i've ever seen so far, not too overkill but that's a good price to perfomance ratio

I added that a long time after I spent all my money on the basic things like cpu, gpu, mobo etc. stock cooler was ok, but I run my cpu @1.4V and 4.1GHz which the stock cooler wasn't able to cool. I also hate noisy fans and this runs quietly @300RPM while it's able to cool this winter fireplace lmao

2018-11-05 16:16
Not thread maker but that's pretty much an easy 10/10 without even thinking about it. What the fk do you even do with a 12TB drive though? do you run a media server from your PC or something? I did not expect a USB DAC to be almost 300 dollars, how big of a difference does a dac make for low-mid end headphones, have you ever tried it with low-mid end headphones vs motherboard drivers and observed the difference?
2018-11-05 16:55
I work in high end audio. A good dac will have a massively lower signal to noise ratio than say soundblaster and other "gaming" dacs or motherboard built-in ones, which becomes evident mainly when listenting to songs with a high dynamic range. The sound itself It won't be alot crisper or so since its litterally just translating 0s and 1s (from a coordinate system) to an analog sinus wave (which, assuming the dac works as intended, it should unpack the files like any other dac in the world), it just improves well produced songs by removing artifacts (noise) that isn't supposed to be there. There is alot of snake oil and placebo going into digital audio. My personal tip is to even up a good pair of headphones with a good dac. Insane headphone with an insane dac, just to ensure the chain is good all around. If you have a mid-end headphone you could try a ASUS Xonar card, or a personal recommendation, the little brother of the dac that i have, which is Dragonfly Black, (goes for around 100usd). I'm an active seeder on a private tracker so i am basically having my own seedbox on the pc, so i kinda need some storage. Also gotta have space for my fire mixtapes that i made when i was 15. hope that answers the question, otherwise let me know so i can clarify or expand some more :p

LUL 2666 MHz + rtx 2080 WHY?
2018-11-05 18:08
3000mhz will result in like 1 more frame in tripple a titles and a solid 0 more frames in csgo. the higher memory a ram has, the higher latency, litterally making it a +/- 1 situation making it litterally as fast as even 2400mhz. Thus 3000mhz is not even remotely close to worth it.
2018-11-05 19:44

I have a pic somewhere but cant be arsed to post this so here we go Table: Some basic white desk with couple drawers. One of the doors is missing but ive replaced it with blue wrapping paper Chair: Some basic office chair with mesh back part which is broken. I use an old pillow instead Monitor: Asus pb258q, 1440p ips screen. only 60hz but for me colors/image quality > hz anyday Keyboard: Corsair strafe with static rainbow lights Mouse: SS rival 300 with static red light. Thnking about it i should maybe change it. Headset: Qpad qh90. Its old and showing its age. Still works great. Mousepad: Steelseries. A big one Cpu: i3 4330 3.5ghz. Its kinda good for what it is. Gpu: Amd r9 270. Its bad Ram: 8gbs of something 1600mhz Hdd: 1 500gb and 2 250gbs Psu: 430w or something i dont remember Motherboard: Asrock h81m hds or something Case: Coolermaster something Its not a great setup but it does its job. Once i move out of my parents in to my own house ill get new everything. Also dont kno why i wrote in such detail i guess im bored.

+1 on monitor part, I never want to use a TN monitor again in my life after using IPS and VA panels. My current monitor is a Samsung QLED VA panel with 92% Adobe RGB and 125% sRGB colour gamuts respectively. It's a 144Hz monitor I got for $210AUD (132Euro) with three years warranty. Very happy with it. My secondary monitor which is an old TN LCD panel just looks so ugly. I have to have different wallpapers because if I use the same one you can clearly just see how bad the colours and brightness are.
2018-11-05 17:03
I like rival 300 tbh, your peripherals are nice, I mean, for gaming 144hz monitor is always good to have, your computer could be better, but I guess it works totally fine for your stuff. 7/10

Once i get my own house I was planning on building a completely new pc and getting a new desk and chair obviously. Plan was to be able to play every game on high-ultra 1440p 60fps. Peripherals will stays the same if theyll make it so far. The rival just fits my hand perfectly. Got it for that reason

I bought it for fun because it was in stock (which is rare), just wanted to try it out. Right now I also have Logitech G Pro, Steelseries Rival 110 and Roccat Kone Pure. I also had several good mice before that, including Zowie FK2 and Mionix Castor. And to be honest Finalmouse is the best one I had yet. Really good shape, very very light, great buttons and feel, perfect tracking.

1080 with 8350 ?????
2018-11-05 22:42
that cpu is as good as i5 7600k + he got it overclocked
2018-11-06 15:16
ye but having 1080 with 4core cpu is a waste of gpu imo
2018-11-06 15:31
csgo doesnt use more that 4 threads.. Except if you want to stream ofc
2018-11-06 15:37
I had a gtx1060 before I got the 1080. The reasons are pretty simple here. I'm mostly playing csgo/pubg/overwatch, and after I upgraded from 1080p144 to 1440p144, my GPU became the bottleneck (at least in pubg). After an upgrade to gtx1080 I again can do 144+ fps. i3-8350K is pretty powerful after overclock tbh

TY its a nice setup just need a good mic for streaming and I think all the peripherals will be set until they make 4k HDR 240hz monitors and gpus that can support them. Until then a 1080ti and i7-8700k does the work perfectly. Can get 280fps @ 1440p with everything but motion blur on while streaming 60fps @ 1080p
