FNATIC is starting to crumble, whats going on?

They played well the starting two games, xizt is showing up with frags, krimz stepping up huge. Brollan and twist brought great motivation in the lineup. Could the go semis vs liquid? Do you see them winning the event?

What delusion? If krimz and twist and brollan frag their best. They can beat liquid. Naf has been inconsistent for a while. Twistzz is good and unpredictable. Let's see. The better team would win eventually
2018-11-08 11:21
fnatic is fucking garbage dude , at least for now. did u look at them vs eunited yesterday? they were playing terrible cs , they only won because eunited was playing even more terrible. and yes , naf has ben inconsistent but against top teams , u can bet your ass he will be their with his stick ready to shove up fnatic's ass

"our style doesn't really fit for LAN plays" - said by JW after they done better in LAN than online! To be fair this is the first LAN with this current lineup and for Brollan it is the first big pro lan. This is probably the best education they have gotten as a team!

I don't know what you were reading but JW said it doesn't suit online play. Fnatic however looks great for such a 'young' roster, fingers crossed they become contenders again. Edit: replied to the wrong comment, soz

See #24 I would love Fnatic to become big again, but I don't think they got what it takes right now. I got one player I wanna change but I can't find anyone available within the Swedish scene to actually take that part. DjL, Pronax and MODDII are the closest ones but are they really good enough and smart enough for Fnatic and top 10? DjL could probably do it but that means the other 4 would have to carry him with the frags.

They can't do any roster changes before the next major anyway. So it feels great they do this well on their first LAN with this lineup. If they can play this well Online as well a roster change isn't really needed.

I know, that's my point. Stick with this roster because you can really see potential, it has sick individual players and they are in the right roles for them to perform. Brollan will probably get better and better as well... What I'm worried about though is if Xizt's style with this lineup gets figured out, I feel like they may have a hard time adapting. Just look at how long time it took for NiP to adapt... If we see they are starting to get figure out, I'd want to see a roster change sooner rather than later. I hope this time isn't anytime soon though.

Also, Online is stupid to care about at all. Missing a few tournaments here and there is good, because the schedule is too intense either way.

This is my reply to both this comment and #122 They can't change the roster now since that would mean they will lose their place in IEM Katowice and have to go through all the qualifiers to get there, and since those are online they will probably lose. I think the players usually do their job, the problem have been their team play and co-op. You rarely see someone flash for someone else or see smokes in the right place. This is either the coach or Xizt fault. They need to be more coherent in their game play and do more coordinated team play. When Xizt and Draken joined they had one of the best CT sides in the top sene but their T-sie looked really bad. Now they have trained so much on T-side that their CT-side looks weak and they still haven't figured out their T-side. A few weeks ago they didn't have a map pool at all, now they have Inferno (again) and Overpass. If they can add Train and Mirage to that they have a great map pool. What I've seen their Train isnt that bad except that Twist isn't used to his position on that map. So with some training they will get better. I am quite sure they will keep Nuke as their permaban since the old core (JW and KRIMZ) and Xizt never really been good on it and they are probably above average on Dust 2 (considered top 20 teams) they are quite close to just find enough comfort in their map pool to be able to make some improvements to their team play. But as JW said: They are close to not getting invites to the big tournaments and if that happens they will be in big trouble for 2019

I agree with most of the things you say, I'm gonna add some things here and also try to make what I ment more understandable. 1. I didn't mean Fnatic should change their roster right now. If they're starting to get figured out they should change. I didn't mean that time will come before Katowice as you may have thought I meant, I meant this time could come after Katowice, at this time they should consider changing sooner rather than later so they are well prepared for the 2nd major during 2019. 2. As JW said, Brollan joined right during the online season so they didn't get a chance to get pracc in before it. That's why you shouldn't judge from that, also, changing the roster or something like that because of bad Online results would be stupid. LAN is when it matters and right now Fnatic are delievering on LAN. With this top 4 in Chicago they are going to advance massively on the HLTV Ranking, which should help them get invites again. If they finish top 4 my prediction is they are gonna be between 8th and 12th in the world on Monday. 3. I'd say they are already quite good on Cache, Inferno and Mirage. Teams haven't got the chance to really look in to their Overpass, so we're gonna need to wait on that. We can't know how Train and D2 will play out since they haven't even played it on LAN. I wouldn't worry too much about the map pool at the moment. 4. The Draken roster didn't have good CT Sides in my opinion, this roster already has much better CT Sides and T Sides. They have figured out their CT and T Side pretty well on LAN it seems, always look on LAN. The only thing is they haven't been together for very long, that means they still make small mistakes that haven't had time to be fixed yet. Those mistakes could ruin whole games, for example that was close to happening yesterday against TL when Twistzz got a massive Deagle Ace.

I agree with all. 5. I didn't mean after they arrived, but the team they had right before that and during that roster change they were one of the best teams in the world on CT. Then came Xizt and Draken and that changed. But still during Flusha and Draken in the squad they were much better at CT than in T.

its because their style doesnt fit online cs, most of the team they face in online cs play stupid and overagressive cs that only work online when you feel confortable at home and want to surprise in random bo1, and theyre a new team so they used the online league to train and learn how to fix problems

They won against Liquid in Katowice with a good 2-0. After that they've only faced once, ECS, TL for sure won, the matches we're still very close and FNC played with Xizt and Golden at that time. I'd say Fnatic have a good chance of winning, would require some people showing up and no player lacking behind like Twist did yesterday. Also, a good veto and a good start would be required. I'd say Fnatic have a 40% chance of taking it, I think it would benefit them playing their map pick first.

Astralis/Mouz. In one way it would've been better losing to TL so they could avoid Astralis. You've got to remember though, FaZe took them down for a reason. Astralis aren't that totally unstoppable force anymore as they were during the summer.
