Which pro retiring would "damage" the scenes the most?
Serbia Srdjan they said
Personally I think the day f0rest puts down the mouse will be the saddest day of Counter Strike.

I fear that neo might soon retire, or at least dissapear entirely from the face of tier 1-2 counter strike competetion.

NEO won't have much impact because he's ruined his ending of the career by being dogshit for years now. Barely anyone remembers the old NEO.

big history LMAO cs 1.6 doesn't mean shit, just like Pelé in football with no scene f0rest proves that he is good enough for tier 1 cs but look at neo, he is shit because in cs 1.6 people were not good
2018-11-09 11:19
Lul, but still everyone who knows at least something about football appreciates Pele and took him as a role model and he is the legend of his time and maybe helped spreading the hype of football. 1.6 means a lot, it was the first bit step for cs into the eSport and the legends back there created the hype for the following and players like f0rest, get right and neo made the eSport what it is today. The history of a game means a lot, it's the personality of the game. But of course if you're only watching cs for the highlights for the resent events, of course s1mle would be the way to go, but s1mple retiering is just a good player stepping back. f0rest, neo or get right retiering is history coming to an end.

Too early to include s1mple on this list imo, since he has only really been relevant since 2014.

Why Zeus?
2018-11-09 11:17
Zeus has not only been in the scene for a long time, but he did win a major with gambit (maybe a bit of a fluke, but they all pretty much played great) and he has been doing great with navi. Even if he isn't the best player or stuff like that, he have played the game (1.6 included) for such a long time, it would be sad to see him go.

I'd like to say fallen. Not that i really like his playstyle or smtg, but he is just the kindest player, with the best mentality i've ever seen. Never rage, always respect his opponents, and compliment them on every interviews

i have told people why many times, every time i do this i get banned, i dont want to get banned, ill try give u a tldr without offending anyone -has ruined countless peoples careers by his ruthless backstabbing and power hungry motives -scams children as he promotes gambling sites on his youtube with clickbait titles -his brand, GA peripherals are mass bought off some shady site for $5 each, have his logo put on it and then resold for like 100x the price

he did though
2018-11-09 11:31
Wow you just ruined the meme
2018-11-09 11:49
I think an "old" pro retiring would not be damaging the scene. You don't have to worry when it happens. It's when young and rising stars retire that you have an issue. Despite their respective popularity, if Forest, Get_Right, Neo retire, that's pretty much ok. If you start seeing people like Espiranto, Sergej, Zywoo retiring, you have a problem.

guardian rip :(
2018-11-09 11:26
Just in context, I feel like we already lost Virtus.Pro (even though they still play), and I think the scene has become less interesting. The reason why is how their playstyle at times could dominate every single team out there, and to top it off, their personalities really added to feeling of watching them overcome a team they really shouldn't.

TaZ
2018-11-09 11:34
I was hoping someone would say TaZ. I have mad respect for that man, his sportsmanship in the game is nothing compared to everyone else in the community. I will always remember these three special moments of his. -ESL One Cologne 2016: Telling the crowd to applaud for Astralis when they had 2 stand-ins (Gla1ve and zonic) and managed to take VP to 2 OT. -Eleague Major 2017: Motioning crowd to cheer for SK (who played with Fox and lost 0-2 to VP, but very close game) -ESL Cologne 2015: Gets on the mic to tell fans to show respect to Olof and Fnatic.
