2018-11-11 18:41
ye i heard about that , thanks :D
2018-11-11 18:45
I normally just hold my nose and blow, it clears the ears. If that doesn't do it it goes away a few minutes after you land anyway.

depends on people, never liked that idea :D
2018-11-11 18:48
Or sometimes yawning has done it for me...but sometimes yawning has also made it worse. Depends on the person, I wouldn't bother bringing anything for it. You can still hear just fine it's just muffled and after a few minutes it should go away.
2018-11-11 18:50
Nice, thanks :)
2018-11-11 18:48

I was very excited on my first flight, a little scared too cuz I was a kid back then. I just kept watching the clouds outside, pretty amazing. Went on a trip to Singapore :)
2018-11-11 18:40
I've been flying since before I even remember so planes never scared me at all, especially because I've flown multiple times on a C130 as a kid. What airline are you with? my first international one (that I remember) was with emirates. Was an amazing experience.

Military family? If not, how'd you get on the C130?
2018-11-11 18:49
Yup. Dad was in PIA. I don't remember the exact reasons for traveling in them because I was very young but I remember it not being pleasant at all.
2018-11-11 19:02
not pleasint as in very loud ?
2018-11-11 19:11
Loud, bumpy, seats were like $5 garden chairs, tight seatbelts, no food etc.
2018-11-11 19:12
why should it scare you, afterall you'll crash it in a building anyways lul btw 1965, 1971, 1999. N E V E R F O R G E T
2018-11-11 19:05
I don't believe ever mentioning India in my comment yet you aggressively try to use the death of innocence as an insult which is disgraceful, shame on you. This type of behavior from you people is the reason why there's so much violence going on between our two nations. Give it up. Regards
2018-11-11 19:09
Shame on you to blame me! Your country had Osama Bin Laden. You guys give shelter to these terrorists. Extremists terrorists like Hafeez Saeed roam freely in Pakistan and you guys don't hand it over to India who conducted multiple bomb explosions in 2000's of India Yet you blame me?! You tried to attack India three times, 1965, 1971, 1999, you got defeated all three times. Yet you blame me?! GROW THE FUCK UP
2018-11-11 19:12
I'm sorry I did all of that, will a milkshake make it ok to you? Next time I hide an extremist terrorist in my basement I'll call you to hand him over, what's your number? I'll put you on speed dial.
2018-11-11 19:27
that Indian guy seems mentally disabled tbh
2018-11-11 19:47
He does that to every Pakistani he sees on this website. Or maybe that was another guy, it's hard to tell because their writing style is very similar so I'm pretty sure I've seen him several times before. I don't want to be rude so I will make no comment on what he is or isn't. What he's doing is just shitposting to get a reaction out of me sure, but it can evolve to pure hatred in real life which is not good for anybody. He may already have it in him and he may not be baiting me, who knows. Needless to say I have had Indian users before post agressive comments towards me in threads where I did not mention India or anything related to it like this one, it is annoying but what can I do? they don't get banned by the admins so there's not much for me to do.

I was pretty terrified because I used to be afraid of heights. I had a window seat because my dad is a funny guy like that but I had my curtain up and watched the plane taking off it was exhilarating. So I would recommend a window seat and watch out the window as it takes off and lands.

not if you have a brain, you're thousands times more likely to die on the way to the airport
2018-11-11 18:48
And if you used your brain you would know that fear doesn't have to be rational. It is a feeling and respecting other peoples feelings makes you a good person, so guess what making fun of other peoples feelings make you.

nice beta cuck mentality, sorry my fear is based on facts and odds, and odds are the plane won't crash so I'm not scared cya
2018-11-11 19:06
Fear or no fear. Making fun of other peoples feelings is lame.
2018-11-11 19:21
And I'm sure the 189 people who died recently in the Indonesian plane crash felt safe as well. Those odds kept them really safe, didn't it?

1 every 5 million, just learn what odds are before you say stupid shit are you scared of living inside a house knowing people die from ceiling collapsing aswell?
2018-11-11 19:48
I know what odds are, and no, I'm not afraid of ceilings. But you don't seem to realise that events with near impossible odds actually happen, which can make people scared. Why do you think people play the Lottery? Because they think they can win, and there's even lower chances of winning the lottery than dying in a plane crash. So why don't you think before you say stupid shit? I don't have any fears like flying but I don't act like anyone else who has fears is a massive pussy and that my odds will always protect me.

Well I'm sorry that you're too alpha and better than the rest of us, but that also makes you thicker than the rest of us, so I'll put it nice and simple. You're not the only person with the only mindset in the world. People are different. And I doubt you could tell me that you've never been involved in something decided by chance before, whether that be gambling your money away on csgo skins sites or something else. So this is done now. Accept when you're being a self centred prick and stop.

2018-11-11 18:44
Yeah i was terrified my first flight too. Luckily i had a sweet little Indian lady sitting next to me and she offered me half of her sandwich and calmed me down lol. Now I fly between 40 and 60 times a year because of my job and its can still be scary sometimes. Been literally thrown out of seat before because of turbulence, had to turn back once because a flap from the engine came off etc. But pilots are fucking good at their job and planes are so insanely safe you really have nothing to worry about! Just relax and try appreciate it you know. Its an amazing thing.

when it takes off don't be scared, it will go really fast and very loud. Also when you land it will shake a lot and ur ears will probably hurt, also it will turn a lot. all normal
2018-11-11 18:58
Will remember :)
2018-11-11 18:59
You might also have pressure on your ear, dont worry that is normal. Some say drinking that Tomatojuice that they may give you helps, but its not that bad. Just sleep while the flight or enjoy the view. If you sleep really hard and the plane will crash you wont notice so basically you just didnt wake up.

The commercial aircraft industry is the safest industry in the world. When plane crashes and problems happen pilots don't try and cover their asses, they actually help explain what went wrong so that these problems won't happen again. "2017 was the safest year in history for commercial airlines, according to industry research. There were no passenger jets crashes anywhere in the world, separate reports by Dutch consultancy To70 and The Aviation Safety Network found." You really shouldn't worry. There are obviously exceptions and tragedies, like the crash in Indonesia recently, but that honestly won't happen to you. Might be easy for me to say, I've never been scared of flying, but oh well.
2018-11-11 19:50

A funny thing to note, having to do with physics, is when the plane is turning. When you turn in a car you can't miss noticing being pulled outwards. On a plane you will always be pushing down in your seat. Not many people think of this, but I think it's an interesting little thing, and that your face isn't being pulled off when turning at more than double the speed some people are willing to go on the autobahn, is also very convenient.

You have a way higher chance of dying on the car ride to the airport than the actual plane ride itself, you'll be fine. Bring some music, books, download some videos, and relax.
