hdmi 2.0 and 2.1 support 144hz, it also carries an audio signal so you can use your monitor speakers if you ever have to.
2018-11-13 19:39
displayport, and buy 240hz LG 27" 240hz 270 euro
2018-11-13 19:38
freesync monitor for 450$? LULW
2018-11-13 19:39
270 euro, i dont do burger units.
2018-11-13 19:40
450$ on their website, also its a TN panel, that's pretty bad tbh I'd rather get a 144hz monitor but with 1440p res
2018-11-13 19:41
you would think that but 240hz OP
2018-11-13 19:42
IPS 1440p monitor > cheap colors on 240hz TN monitor
2018-11-13 19:42
yeah so you can see really well how yellow the T model is as he headshots you :D

there is no difference in cables only ports. Don't spend extra on some fancy cable cause they are all the same.
2018-11-13 19:38
0 difference between hdmi 2.1 and DVI-D? because I'm using DVI-D right now since 2015

you can't use hdmi to provide 144hz only displayport
2018-11-13 19:41
display port is best option no matter what..

HDMI will not be able to carry 144Hz, the best alternative is to use Displayport as it can carry 144Hz and still carry audio. The DVI option on the monitors will carry 144Hz as well but not carry audio, if you do not even use the audio on the monitor then this won't matter to you. (DVI=144Hz, no audio)(Displayport=144Hz with audio) (HDMI=60Hz with audio) your pick.

Seeming that you are playing csgo then get a DVI, however, be careful when removing the cable as the pins inside it can bend.
2018-11-13 19:44
Your monitor should include a displayport cable.

Isnt better to buy 1070 dual instead of 1070ti mini???? edit:yea it works with 2.0 but better with displayport
2018-11-13 19:45
XL2411Z doesn't support DP I'm currently on DVI-D and it looks like I am sticking with it because of 144hz

if 144hz works with DVI-D, then stay on it

only difference would be at max resolution aka qhd or uhd
2018-11-13 19:56
wow this forum is filled with missinformation.... if you want 144hz 1080p hdmi 2.0 will be enough it caries audio if you need too. Or if you want higher res hdmi 2.1 or display port are fine en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI there is a table if you scroll....it says all the resolutions and refresh rates
