He's a below average IGL. He's a below average AWPer. This is the problem with nitr0.

No, Twistzz and NAF, and even Elige are still miles better than him, even if he is a pure fragger. Nitr0 is the very obvious weak link in this team, he isn't 'bad', but he's the worst in the team, and seems to be the root of a lot of problems for Liquid.

Of what importance does top fragging every now and then have? This does not contradict any of my points. I top frag sometimes in a game of matchmaking. It doesn't mean shit, It meant I played better in this one specific game, one time, for reasons that may not be consistent.

so you only top frag sometimes which means you’re probably shit at this game and your opinion is invalid

That is not how it works my french friend. If you threw Moses, HenryG, Thorin, YNK, or any top analyst into a game of counter-strike, and they drop bad numbers, does that mean their opinions and expertise is invalid? not at all.

that liquid can work through their problems w/out roster changes since theyre still a young team. nitr0 and taco r the oldest members at only 23

If that was to be the case, it's going to take a bloody long time before they can crack Astralis with this roster. You've seen what has happened.

well who do u suggest to replace nitr0 w/? and why him not taco? pretty sure nitr0 can do/lrn to do anything that taco does if relinquished of his igl/awp role, in fact he statistically performs better than taco even w/ the burden of igl/awp

>well who do u suggest to replace nitr0 w/? This is the biggest problem. The dream would be FalleN, he is a great AWPer and IGL, but that is his decision not Liquids. >and why him not taco? pretty sure nitr0 can do/lrn to do TACO could be fine too, but I don't think TACO is as much of an issue right now as Nitr0. The move I want to see being made is -nitr0 -taco +FalleN +Coldzera. We know that Cold has considered many times joining a new team. But if TACO is not going to be considered for removal, then -nitr0 +FalleN would still be great. >he statistically performs better than taco even w/ the burden of igl/awp That is without considering the other benefits TACO brings to the team, he is a supportive player after all.
2018-11-14 05:04
No he top frags the least and it’s not because he’s igl. It’s cuz they have forced the AWP on him only because of one decent half on d2 in 2016. He’s still one of the best riflers in the world.

>It’s cuz they have forced the AWP on him only because of one decent half on d2 in 2016. He’s still one of the best riflers in the world. Exactly, that's why he needs to be removed to make room for somebody that knows what they're doing. The problem that many don't get is that just because you make a roster change and remove a player, does not mean that player is necessarily bad. It can very often be because they are the one player that doesn't fit, or just slightly worse than others on the team, meaning that it makes sense to cut that player to make room for a solution.
2018-11-14 04:47
What people need to realize is a roster change isn’t always the right fix. Role changes, fixing the map pool, learning new executes or boosts, improved counter strats etc. like there’s so much you can change and not alter team chemistry

Sometimes it isn't, no. But sometimes it is. A particular rule or exception doesn't just apply to everything like that. It's very easy to just say 'nah don't change, just get better', isn't it? Liquid have been unable to win, unable to overcome Astralis, and unable to deliver when it matters for an entire year. There are very solid reasons as to why a change may solve a large portion of their issues and give them a much better chance at fixing these issues, as oppose to 'just getting better'.
2018-11-14 04:54
A change could bring them a dub. But it could just as easily drop them to t2. They are the second best team in the world. You do not re arrange your roster because you’re second best

There is no such thing as a roster change without risk, but there is such thing as making a highly educated and thought through change with very little chance of failure. It's not black and white. >You do not re arrange your roster because you’re second best This is really a terribly stupid thing to say. Just because they're second, does not mean there are anywhere close to #1 does it? No, they're fucking miles off, just like every other team in the scene.
2018-11-14 04:58
Exactly. If a member of astralis dies liquid will be #1. I like those chances better than making a change and potentially ducking everything up
2018-11-14 15:59
So I just rediscovered the teams attending Malta and if liquid don’t win that, then yea something has to be changed. Not specifically the roster, but I wouldn’t be opposed at that point

0/8, liquid don't need roster changes if they are very consistent in high placements, they just need to expand their map pool

So 'expanding their map poor' will give them the ability to defeat and dethrone Astralis? 0/8
2018-11-14 04:30
Yes. It will do exactly that. Rn they have 2 maps that they might be able to win, inferno and mirage(cache gets banned). So if you lose either of those your chances drop exponentially. Add train or ovp and now you stand a legit chance in a bo5. Bo3 you have to win your map pick vs astralis.

Your logic makes sense, assuming that Liquid can just 'play better', your explanations have very little to do with the map pool, because you can still be good at a map against every other team in the scene, yet get slammed as hard as any by Astralis on that map. There are a lot of reasons for teams not being able to play well on certain maps, and the solution does not come as a result of simply 'expanding the map pool', it comes down to individuals, experience, morale, and a plethora of other things.
2018-11-14 04:51
-nitro +autimatic should be the move, problem is Nitro is Elige buttbuddy
2018-11-14 04:40
Problem is nitr0 has the AWP and a roster change won’t help, only hurt
2018-11-14 04:48
The Americans currently don't have a good enough top level dedicated AWP to play on a team like Liquid, NAF,Twistzz (though hes so nuts with rifle you would prefer he doesn't AWP) and autimatic can use it
2018-11-14 04:50
Tim is barely an upgrade from nitr0. And who’s gonna igl? Def an upgrade but it would fuck the whole team up. Tl is not broken they’re just the second best team in the astralis era
