Who will win 2020 US elections?
 |
United States SmokeCriminalYip
I don't think Donald Trump will win unless he reforms Obamacare before his administration ends since he has only a 42% approval rating. If the dems were to win, itd either have to be Joe Biden or if Michele Obama ran, her. Maybe even Oprah Winfrey since she is super rich and popular ( if she chooses to run). On the republican side, Senator Flake could win or definitely Ben Shapiro if he runs but he hasn't expressed any interest ATM. What do you think? /discuss
2018-11-17 14:48
Knowing the US someone like 6ix9ine is gonna win
2018-11-17 14:52
IDK, if he runs, maybe, but since he is in court for harrasing someone, probably not RN
2018-11-17 14:57
i would vote for him lol

2018-11-17 14:59
How about knowing who will run for the election before guessing. Right now your president is Trump speculate in 2020 not now.
2018-11-17 15:15
no, you do understand presidential cycles start after midterms right? ALSO I SAID THINK, not i know
2018-11-17 15:17
I wrote speculate. I meant the're is no reason to speculate before knowing who is going run for the election. Maybe Mitchel will run for the 2024 election instead of the 2020. We're not sure so the're is not really any meaning for speculating right now.
2018-11-17 15:20
never said there was any meaning, just wanted to know wat people thought
2018-11-17 15:21
Sure Michele would win the 2020 elections at least what i think. You never know everything can change until 2020.
2018-11-17 15:23
true
2018-11-17 15:23
nah, Lil Pump more likely to and isn't 6ix9ine from Mexico?
2018-11-17 15:30
His parents are from mexico but he is born american lol

Wouldnt make a difference, theres no promising candidates at all. For republicans its trump thats def going in. For democrats, people have been rallying for Beto O'rourke to run.
2018-11-17 14:58
As a person who lives in Texas, i'd be delighted if Beto ran. Also, again Trump is probably going to run again because of his egotisticality, but again, the approval ratings are super low that he isn't gonnna win

If Beto ran in 2020, he would definitely make some nice results as he nearly turned Texas into a blue state since he was leading by 2% i believe in the midterms before Ted Cruz unfortunately made a comeback and won. (I said unfortunately cause hes the most hated republican in the country.)
2018-11-17 15:00
yea, I agree with Beto on many things and would vouch for him but I don't agree with open borders. Texas blue would've been wierd, but hey, the dems won house so gridlock time

Did he say he wanted open borders? Never seen him say anything about it. I just see that he just goes to the border just to campaign and not trying to convince anything of the sort.
2018-11-17 15:04
NVM, i just googled, I was wrong, ur right, Beto might be the dems best hope if Michele Obama doesn't run

Ted Cruz only won by 2% percent and nearly lost so you have no right to laugh at all South Genocide.
2018-11-17 15:18
Because ted cruz is a lying idiot. Yet he still won. Texas will never turn blue, sorry mr actual genocide.
2018-11-17 15:19
bruh he only lost by 200k in a SUPER RED state wdym

United States PsychoLogical
exactly, South Genocide doesn't know what he's talking about.
2018-11-17 15:19
He lost to one of the worst republicans in america. Sorry but your gonna need to import alot more Californians to make texas a blue state.
2018-11-17 15:25
he still lost only by such a small percentage in a Republican stronghold nt
2018-11-17 15:29
Many republicans voted for beta male rourke because they thought he would be better than ted cruz. Assuming that next time there are some decent candidates for republicans, the gap will be far larger.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm not 100% sure how U.S. elections work. But could'nt Trump just make his own "party" and run from their? am I completely wrong?

Obama was awful in many ways and having another Obama, even if its Mrs now would be bad. Obamacare was a failed program and the affirmative action he proposed is simply racist. And Oprah? Please no.. rather have someone that either knows politics or economics. Not someone that knows alot about foreign cultures
2018-11-17 15:30
so you don't like Trump cause hes a politician? Also, I think Mrs. Obama is very educated and you shouldn't base her policies on what her husband has done. its like saying Hiliary would be a bad president because of Bill

not*
2018-11-17 15:31
so you don't like Trump cause hes a politician? - I havent said a word about Trump Also, I think Mrs. Obama is very educated and you shouldn't base her policies on what her husband has done. its like saying Hiliary would be a bad president because of Bill - It's a safe assumption that their political views are almost identical as they are a married couple; I don't see a leftist marry a conservative while working in politics.

wait so you are grouping them tgt as liberals and not exactly the same? ALso the first was a question

you "asked what do you think?" i think trump is the only leader in the world who has made changes the last 10-20 years. And even tho every one talks shit about him everything is working as he planned, more works, better deal with china and Nato payments will soon be at the level they agreed upon
2018-11-17 16:01

2018-11-17 15:32
he probably wont even run or run as a democrat. The only democrat I'm willing to give a chance is Beto O'Rourke and thats it.
2018-11-17 15:45
Look up Richard Ojeda, he has a much better chance than Beto.
2018-11-17 18:41
meh i think not. guess 2 years will have to come.
2018-11-17 18:44
It's all about those swing states in the rust belt, and Ojeda is a perfect candidate to win those states.
2018-11-17 18:46
You wanna explain your choice on Ojeda? I dont see any appeal on him.
2018-11-17 18:54
I personally think he can turn red states, even though he recently lost in WV, he closed a huge gap (a county that chose Trump by 40 something points). A military veteran, someone who wants to bring back manufacturing jobs, and who supports most social democratic policies like Beto. I just feel like he'd appeal to the silent majority, and the older generation more than Beto.

republicans wont produce any candidates that could rival trump and anti trump agenda is working 24/7 these days so I think whoever is backed by dems will win or scenario 2, republican votes will split thin across multiple candidates with voters who will be undecided in second round and dems will win because of that
2018-11-17 17:37
the main reason the anti trump shit is rising is because of his behavior and how he handles things like trade and international related crap and how he treats our allies and countries like Russia.

Obamacare was a failure to the American people it was a good thing that he shut it down and also don't ever listen to approval ratings they mean nothing
2018-11-17 19:55
How does reforming Obamacare have anything to do with it. Trump clearly stated before he was elected that it was a disaster and that he'd do something about, he did. Trump's approval ratings right now aren't far off from Obama's approval ratings in 2009. And you can now a days not openly say you're a trump fan. Apart from the rhetoric and his Twitter account he's not doing a bad job at all. Just look at the economy, labor market and foreign affairs in which he has achieved far more than Obama did in 8 years. Trump will probably also face-off against some socialist like kamala Harris or Bernie Sanders. That's not what the swing voter wants that's why they'll vote Republican.
