lets make this place into another reddit
we are not low budget copy of reddit
no since it would be reddit gayyy
No thanks, I love spamming.
Makes sense but is it related to gambling ads in any way?
If no, they wont bother
Not needed as it would create an illusion that someone is more correct than the other just because of how many upvotes the user has
It's a SJW move, don't do it
I agree, actually proposed it number of times before. But got spammed by people who do not care to understand and only spam "this is not reddit, gtfo"
+1 would kinda lose its significance if hltv were to do that.
we incorporated that system into one of the most popular sites on turkey.
while it doesnt affect the way comments get on top or bottom like reddit does it still pisses of you off to see how many dumb fucks agree with a sentiment you find stupid.
for example lets say there is a galatasaray fenerbahce match and the goalkeeper allowed in a goal. its a regular goal. ye. but one fanatic supporter types in "that fucking retarded son of a bitch" or something like that then you see an immense amount of retards who feel the same and agrees with the guy.
just imagine the matchpages and the amount of thumbs up retarded bettors would get after typing dumb shit.
+1 that would be a great addition
This is a bad idea. Instead of "+1" spam (which I doubt would disappear anyway), you'd just get a bunch of low quality comments whose only goal is to get upvotes. I'm sure you'd also start to see people try to manipulate opinions by upvoting certain opinions on alt accounts or with bots.
Sure, adding a +1 button is much less worse of an idea than adding a downvote button. A downvote button would be even more effective for that type of manipulation and it would also discourage people from participating in the discussion if they think they hold unpopular opinions.
I hardly even notice the +1 spam. I mean usually when I see a comment with lots of +1s, the comment was actually a rather clever joke or a remark.
I just can not imagine how adding a +1 button would improve the forum in any proper way. But I can imagine many ways in which it will make it worse.
