Please just stfu, anyone who thinks that he will get #1 only because hltv is a danish site is fucking biased. s1mple is like 90% guaranteed to be number #1 this year. also: NaVi has won 4 tournaments so far, 1 of them not being tier 1, and star-series being arguably not tier 1 as well. out of them all Astralis didn't attend exactly those 2. Astralis has won 7 tournaments so far, one being a major. 6 of them being tier 1 events, and one tier 2. NaVi didn't attend 2 of those because they aren't even in the ECS league, and they didn't get invited to Istanbul because they attended New York at that time.

You instantly go into defence mode as soon as someone talks shit about Denmark, Astralis or a player from Astralis. Look at your own comments. 0/8 bait

"Blast" "Big event" Select 1. you can't call an event as big event when all you need to win a bo3 and 4bo1s to wn the whole event. They is no play off. Even wesg, first summit is bigger event than blast
2018-11-19 07:08
Size of event is not determined by difficulty/complexity of tournament format but by the strength of the competition there (in other words, rankings of the attending teams). Agree or disagree, I believe this is how HLTV judges the "size" of an event. Dreamhack Open X (Insert random city) can have the most intricate playoff system ever but if there are no Top 10 teams attending, then it is not a big/Premier event. For example, I'm sure CS:GO Asia Championships would have been considered a big event if there were more Tier 1 (Top 5-7, I guess?) teams attending. P.S. Before you start calling me names and my comment invalid, please understand this is what I believe to be HLTV's criterion for what's considered a Big Event. Feel free to have your own but ultimately, only the official (HLTV's) one matters.

dude these were more stronger tournament than blast Istanbul and had better format and was harder to win. hltv.org/stats/events?matchType=BigEvent.. also hltv is not "official".its a third party site who considers events with more stronger teams and more completion as smaller events. their big event list is the most retarded list of events.they consider only 3 events as big events in 2014 which are all majors but they consider blast as "big" event. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Intel_Extre.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/BLAST/Pro_S.. they put blast series and iem sydney 2017 as big events while similar or better events in past and the current as small events. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/DreamHack/2.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/ESL/Expo_Ba.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/MLG/Aspen_I.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Gfinity/Spr.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/StarLadder/.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/FACEIT/Leag.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Intel_Extre.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Fragbite_Ma.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/FACEIT/Leag.. liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Electronic_.. These are all small events according to hltv while blast is big. tell me ghow blast is different than esl barcelona. both hade some top teams and some weak teams.both had mainly bo1s. but they put blast as big event lol. DH open Leipzig had better teams had iem sydney 2017,but are considered t2. So you can clearly see than hltv big event list is bullshit.

As much as I'd love to continue arguing with you over this (some of the things you've stated are correct, some aren't), I won't be doing that due to IRL stuff. I appreciate how much thought you've put into this though!

call it t1 events if that makes you feel better i just included the blast events with regard to similar events at the same time where all the other teams could gain mvp/evps (epiccenter, chicago) summit is not a real event, noone takes it serious. wesg only 2 real t1 teams? csgo asia only fucking navi, that are not awards they had to really fight for. same for v4 future sports festival, mouz, faze, hellraisers, vp and 4 t5 teams

summit had more t1 teams than blast istambul did and was harder to win playoffs and many bo3s.blast has fuking bo1s and 1 bo3.with worse teams. wesg had 3 top 6 teams at that time along with another 3 top 20 teams and many other teams..blast istambul has 3 of top 9 teams and remaining teams were outside top 20. csgo asia had 6 top 30 teams where blast had 5 top 30 teams. i am no9t saying to put events like summit, wesg and csgo asiaa to t1.but put blast where they belong as t2 event.
