MM elo system

Bulgaria Riooo
So today i decided i want to get global. I didn't play MM in a long time, just 1 game a month so i don't lose my rank (supreme). I played 5 games and won them all, before that i had 1 win. So how many more i have to win to rank up? I know in faceits its like around 5 games?
2018-11-19 20:07
It's different for anyone so keep winning
2018-11-19 20:08
5? 15? 25? who knows

happened before, to rank up to DMG took me 20+ wins frm MGE, maybe Supreme to GE would be alot harder. Either that or the elo in CS is broken

Took me 5 dominant wins back in 2017 in a row to get global. The elo in CS IS fucked up though, because if you look at how different people have to do different things, there is no collective consistency.

It reduces a small amount of your elo every day if you don't play. So 5 games/month means... 2-3 years
2018-11-19 20:23
Correct my friend Also a important this is the rounds played and the Impact u dealt

it depends on the opponents ranks and the round difference you win with. More chance to win you you play with 4 global against 5 global than if you play with lower ranks. If you win 16-1 you also got much more "elo".
2018-11-20 17:14
U are talking about valve mm system yes? If true then i know the secrets to ranking up
2018-11-20 17:26
Reveal this secret
2018-11-21 09:38
Valve matchmaking is rated over time. U can win 10 matches in 1 day and not rank up but also not play for 2 weeks and derank on ur first lost. The more u win over a longer period of time or the more wins u have spread out over time = less wins needed for a rankuo and more consistent progress. Basicallg just play a few games every few days and play until ur positive in wins (so if i play ur first game and u won maybe consider taking ur dub and leaving or atleast trying to win 3 and stop) do this and ull be good. Ive ranked up 5 times in the last month and a half using this strat (but u must consider im doing a s1 to idk journey on a decent trust factor account)

4 to 16 Depends on your mvps and score.
2018-11-20 19:27
When i reached supreme, i once had 11 wins in a row and still didn't rank up to Global...
2018-11-21 09:48
Man, that system really sucks :D I got LEM and won like 8-9 games in a row. Still no supreme. Then i lost 3 games, won 1 and got supreme ) so it`s completely unpredictable

There are 20 levels on MM Assuming that MM is matching up teams with 50-50 chance and K factor 40 you're earning 20 ELO points per game. Assuming that starting elo is 1000 and level changes every 100 elo points Elo 3000 is Global. Assuming you are matched each time like in first example you would need to win 100 games in a row to go from level 0 to lvl 20.

On a fresh account ~18 wins - supreme, 30 wins - global Dependence you're talking about isn't linear, rather exponential

well it's a guessing game isn't it. Elo probability to point difference is linear, so I assumed that ranks are too.

The more rounds you win the less Elo you lose if you lose. If you win, the less rounds the enemy wins, the more elo you get in the game. Stats have nothing to do with MM. Not kills, deaths MVPS, assists, nothing. Only rounds. There you go
2018-11-21 10:36
6-7, maybe 8 if u have a good kd
2018-11-21 10:38
Keep on winning track
2018-11-21 10:46
My second global (from supreme) when the derank update came to csgo was after ~18 wins in a row of which ~90% I was top fragging with most mvps
2018-11-21 10:51
For me it was around a 6-8 game winstreak before a rank-up, given that any loss streaks were ‘cancelled’ out before (so if you lost 3 in a row, then winning 3 in a row cancels it out, not counting that in the winstreak) Its been some sort of a similar pattern like that in every rank-up, but it can be very much different for you
2018-11-21 10:52
why the fuck would volvo hide elo in first place? lots of thoughts in this thread, who am i supposed to trust? makes me think the whole system is based on coin flip, either you get rank or don't when win.

LE, 15 wins in a row, no rank up. the more games you have on record the more it takes to rank up or down imo..in the beginning, my rank was a lot more volatile.
2018-11-21 11:00
Rounds only counts... If you win 16:2 it's same as winning 7x 16:14 with same enemy.

Faceit isn't 5 games. It usually takes 7-9 wins in a row unless every game that you played was vs people much higher than you.

Winning in faceit give you an average of +25 elo, you need 150 to gain a rank, so 6 games. It takes more only if you face lower player and gain +20.

depends on the score and your mvps. If you had 0 mvps and won all games 16-14 the game thinks you got carried and it was close so your skill isnt much higher than the opponents, but if you win with scores like 16-9 16-8... and have 3+ mvps then the sistem will think you preform way above your opponents so it will eventually place you into global so you will be against opponents of your skill
2018-11-21 12:50
11+ wins for me to get from nova 1 to nova 2 LUL the elo system is broken af and Valve aint do nothing about that shit
2018-11-21 12:53
It took only 1 win streak for me . If you played well on all your matches for a while, actual winstreak does not mean a lot

I've found that it takes an average of +40 rounds to get to the next rank. So if you win 16-0 3x in a row you should 100% rank up.

That could actually be that x) Never thought it could be with your number of round won, would a be a legit way to change the rank, at -40 you rank down, at +40 you rank up.

Yeah but there's a lot of factors that play into it. For example, I won 16-4 then 16-14 and ranked up. Then I tied a game and lost 11-16 after that. After that happened, next two games I win 16-16 and 16-7. I should rank up right? Wrong, I didn't even though I am +14 compared to when I was last that other rank.
2018-11-21 13:54
you can only rank up when you've won over 50% of the games in your current rank

If you never been global before it's sometimes up to 10-12 wins in a row, won 15/13 games on my smurf before I got global on it.

You win elo when you kill someone, get an assist, get the MVP, win a round, win a game. You lose elo when you get killed, lose a round and lose a game. Every gain or loss of elo depends of the elo of the guy you killed / that killed you. And ofc winning the game make you win more elo than the assist. So it depends on everything. If you win 16/14 with a close k/d and with only a few mvps, then it might take many games. If you stomp the enemy team and go 25/2 every game with 8 mvp, then it will be very fast, if the elo of the ennemy team is balanced with yours.
2018-11-21 13:22
its not tru xd it was around year ago i ranked up to global, played 6 games won them all ofc fragging well cuz there is no level then i lost 1 game and i ranked up to supreme :D <3 CSGO

"Every gain or loss of elo depends of the elo of the guy you killed / that killed you" If you won all of them against players with a low elo compared to yours, you won almost nothing, and if your loss was against lower player, it could be enough, even more if you did a bad game. If you're supposed to destroy your opponent and to be 1st on your team, doing that isn't going to give you many point, but failing to do it is going to cost you a lot.

I saw it on differents sites in the last few years, and it seems logic to me and the kind of things they would do. I can't say it's 100% true, but it's the best things I found on the mm elo.

Usually you need to get laid 5 times in row with a 23 score to get to GlobalMaster. Source youp***.
2018-11-21 13:27
So many variables in that equation. Could be 1, could be 10, could be 20.
2018-11-21 13:28
If you play alot u get more mm points. 3KliksPhillp made a video on how to rank up fast, so you can watch that
2018-11-21 13:30
i have over 5k hours in cs go allthough i quit playing early 2017.. i was a semi pro playing alot.. i've lost my rank and had to grind it back from supreme nomerous times... Sometimes i won 11 in a row, sometimes i lost 2 in a row won 4 and boom there it was... its _NOT_ RNG based, but i think the formula work something like this Should you beat the team? (based on teams combined ELO) Y/N -> did you beat the team Y/N then was ur performance above avarage on the server Y/N -> Did you CARRY Y/N allthough performance does not directly link to STATS, it could be how many enemies you flashed how many smokes you purchased, valve said in late 2015/early 2016 that their performance system was not directly linked to stats, because it would ensure that people only played for K/D. witch is not how this game is intended. how ever, they did NOT release the system.. because they didnt want people to exploit it... TL;DR = play good, have a decent k/d, play supportive for ur team mates, WIN CLUTCHES, dont lose to worse teams and u will rank up quickly :)
2018-11-21 13:34
I remember I won 11 games in a row (all of them were 16-4 or 16-7) and still no rankup then I remember when I was lem I got placed with ge and supremes in a match, and other game I was placed with dmg
2018-11-21 13:35
depends how hardstuck you are in that rank
