Astralis most dominatn team
 |
Canada mandydingo
out of the 21 events Astralis entered in 2018 (LAN and online) the won 12. That means they won 57% of all events they entered in 2018. No team is even close to this level of domination in 2018. This truly is the Astralis era. They are just so far ahead of all the other elite level teams.

I didn‘t check it but that‘s wrong data i guess
2018-11-26 01:57
nope they won 8 sk won 8 in 2017 aswell, fnatic too back in the days, nothing really impressive for the team that is dominating the scene
2018-11-26 01:59
Except astralis dominates all the other teams - both fnatic and sk had rivals in their era who often beat them
2018-11-26 02:03
thats one of the reasons why astralis won some tournaments pretty "easily", they were the most structured team, great tactics, players and sinergy, we have some other teams getting there and their dominance will fall sooner or later. I believe they wont win both pro league and blast lisboa
2018-11-26 02:17
So what - their era is better than fnatics and sk's
2018-11-26 02:18
they havent had (until now) any trully rival that could beat them constantly, i would not say by any means that their era is better than sks or fnatics one, but surely the most dominant, considering the level that the competition has reached and the relevancy of the tournaments they won

i mean their era technically was the most dominant era but i understand where youre coming from, the competition was non-existent at the time
2018-11-26 02:50
exactly, there was a lack of trully pro teams, its not fair to compare

2 of those 8 sk won in 2017 were tier 2-3 so it doesnt count and they dropped off after pgl major so they were not as dominant
2018-11-26 02:58
i know, idk if u mislead but im talking about astralis dominance, not sks.

not comparing, but it was the most DOMINANT era since nip crushed every single team at the time it wasnt even close, but sks fnatics and astralis's eras were definitely higher quality of counter strike in every aspect
2018-11-26 03:05
i agree 100%

If you read my post I said online and LAN, this would include qualifiers for the major and ECS, which puts them at 12 first place finishes.

The thing that most impress me is those comebacks that they do. Remind me the old SK in 2017 who did a lot of insane comebacks. To win against a team like this you need something else, they start one step forward in terms of mentality. anyways, gg astralis. Insane year.

Pretty easy to comeback if you can rely on bugs
2018-11-26 02:03
Because nowadays they are psychologically stronger than all... But i believe that, in terms of game plan, they are weaker than past months... I think their dominance will fall

I agree with you. every team has a peak, and in my opinion their peak was until the eleague premier. maybe the others teams are learning how to play against them or just improoving in the meta.
2018-11-26 02:12
Yes! They didnt play well today... Mibr gave to them all the pistols rounds and they almost won the 2 maps... A lot of force buys won by astralis too...

Yes, other teams are now getting adapted to the Meta. However, there is a certain domination of Astralis. MIBR played so good today, they had all the momentum that they needed. I think they will reach their peek soon. However, to adapt to the playstyle of Astralis will not only require the improvement of Mentality but also Strategizing the gameplay.
2018-11-26 02:20
I dont know if mibr will continue to grow as you think. I see a lot of stupid mistakes that they are doing.. We never see all the team playing well for a long time... But i totally agree with you, to upstairs to the top, they will need to improve all of it.

Just w8 for the EPL Finals and Grand Slam! I do think that Simple is the best player in tha game(skill base) but device will win the best player in 2018 because of his achievements.

yeah half of nip tournament wins were in 2012 and the biggest tournament of cs go in the day was the major in 2013 wich nip choke and lost against shit fnatic i doubt you can tell me 5 teams of 2012 that were good
2018-11-26 02:28
doesnt matter the thread wasnt most impressive team it was the most dominant which nip sure as hell was

the point is you cant even name 5 teams man that proves that u dind't watch a thing in the past clearly a plastic fan by your logic nip will always be the greatest 87-0 on lan xD
2018-11-26 02:34
good teams in 2012 were vp/astana dragons very games fnatic (sort of) complexity wasnt bad copenhagen wolves western wolves i think were called cant remember recursive was also pretty decent universal soldiers were ok if i recall navi wasnt bad i skipped before because i didnt consider it relevant to the convo greatest team ever sure as hell not but most dominant within their era easily

the only decent team that played against the 87-0 nip in this list is very games all of the other teams were made later in 2013 not 2012 CPH wolves were a trash team Fnatic was a danish team and it was trash too
2018-11-26 02:46
Vp were a great team

vp was not a team at the time and line up had taz, kuben, pasha, neo and loord, witch they didn't win nothing in cs go

I am well aware i was talking about one of the dosia teams but i might of made a mistake

My feeling as well. fnatic were destroying teams so badly in 2015. The only team that consistently challenged them was TSM.

2018-11-26 02:24
well they are like on the HALF of the way to fnatics ERA
2018-11-26 02:27
fnatic only won 9 tier 1 tourneys in 2015 lol
2018-11-26 02:32
astralis era confirmed.

I haven't crunched the numbers but I still feel like fnatic of 2015 was the most dominant. I know they won 6 tournaments in a row and were fighting for many others. Regardless, there is no doubt this Astralis lineup is special and one of the all time great teams.
2018-11-26 02:37
they do this for 2019 and they overrun fnatic era

I think this is a reasonable statement. It would be hard to argue against them being the GOAT in CSGO if they have another year in 2019 like 2018.
