is it worth buying a 'gaming' keyboard over a generic keyboard? are there any significant differences that has impact on your gaming experience?

If you press a button for example a it takes less time to recognize for the mec-keyboard so it faster and more "precise"

no difference at all, no point spending on a mechanical keyboard. spend on a gaming mouse though, that's actually worth it

Mechanical keyboard generally feels nicer. If you buy a mechanical keyboard once, you won't go back to a membrane ever, no one does.

Membrane felt really stiff to me after I went back from mechanical. I've only ever used cherry red which is really smooth imo (maybe too smooth for typing) and can't switch back now.
