how far can your aim take you?
Brazil Collee
I mean I don't like to watch a lot of demos/POVs, even though I watch a lot of tournaments, it's not the same thing if you're watching a demo on your computer to learn But I have no problem spending 2 to 3 hours on deathmatch a day(every day) and playing pugs. Is it possible to join the pro scene with this approach? Did players like ZywOo, Stewie and ropz give much attention to tactical aspects of the game when they were known for being good players online? /discuss

If u have nickname Collee in game aswell you will be sniper pro. Collee actually really nice nickname. It's all about good nicknames, look at those who are actually good: SpawN-Really good nickname, really good player. s1mple-Its really good because for him the game is simple + he has an "1" instead of an "i" wich indicates that he is number one before he even starts to play. it's all about the nick's.

LEM actually but rank means nothing in CSGO. Nicknames mean everything.

It can do with nice spelling like: hAlloWed or hAlLoWEED for the #420 luls in matchmaking. I prefer shorter nicks though but thats just me. I would maybe have gone for aLLoW, or dEwO instead. If u look at the rankings usually the top tier players have 4-6 letter names: s1mple device KennyS Niko f0rest Spawn HeatoN Potter Fisker fr0d
2018-12-14 16:23
lol every swede wannabe faceit good player has fisken fisker or fisk0rrr or fiskeRRRRR :D fucking swedes theyre so superior people i hate them cuz theyre so good in everything

Haha lol im actually from Sweden but fake flagging cuz i like the mongolian flag, but i feel you swedes are probably the worst to play against in PUG's. Jag gillar er finnar dock! Ni är chill folk. :)
2018-12-14 17:30
Ok im not fake flagging and im from finland if u recognize the flag but yeah swedes are annoying to play against cuz they are alot smarter than low iq russians... really good players overall in faceit

Don't forget players like REASTEN Showtime OCEAN SLEMMY LEGIJA PNshr Jayzwalkingz (just wALk would have been a good nickname and he would probably have been 30-45 percent better player). Disco Doplan (Probably the worst nickname ever created for CS, even worse than HODOR from Game Of Thrones (my God how i laughed at the scene where they explained how he got his name! #puretrashman) They are all trash nicknames man, trash players. 3 letters nickname i actually quite like. Like: Dsn- Good nickname God player RPK-God tier nick, God tier Tank. ptr though is trash, reminds me always of the Checzh name "Piotr" but how a 3 year old would spell it.

If you have godlike aim you can get pretty far.
2018-12-13 03:07
if you have godlike aim you can be the best if you are under the right IGL who teaches you all the aspects of the game
2018-12-13 03:26
United Kingdom gillschlossen
you will need to study demos there is no point in having godlike aim when you dont know how to position yourself to use is most effectively watch coldzera, krimz, xyp9x demos
2018-12-13 03:11
You don't have to. You will only need to once you hit the ceiling from playing and understanding how to play from playing the game constantly. Of course watching demos speeds up the process but the feel to position yourself correctly grows, where you get kills the most and where enemies least expect you.

I think it gets to a point where watching a few demos/POVs will be necessary, regardless of your role. But most of the climbing you have to do to get to a pro level is probably about learning with your mistakes, and if you watch too much demos to a point where you're not playing enough, it will be harder to learn, and you'll be wasting time
2018-12-13 05:20
United Kingdom gillschlossen
i mean, if he ever wants to go pro, then watching demos is essential if he wants to be faceit lvl9/10 and play casually then sure its fine
2018-12-13 05:44
godlike aim and no game sense = showing up at mid trying to pick and getting one shot everytime

If you rely only on your aim, you will get prefired/pop flashed/smoked/molotoved/crossfired, and you cant outaim waiting awp, if you dont prefire his exact position, so you have to make smart decisions anyway
2018-12-13 03:23
Maybe in NA yes. Probably not in Brazil where there is a cultural respect for tactics
2018-12-13 03:30
Tactics like not signing up for events and having the coach play?
2018-12-13 03:59
They're playing in the NA region so that just proved my point. In Brazil (not NA), there is more emphasis on tactics than in NA.
2018-12-13 05:06
i think u mean EU
2018-12-14 16:19
No. I mean Brazil.
2018-12-14 16:59
Everywhere but NA there is more emphasis on tactics
2018-12-14 16:21
Not Asia. China doesn't know anything outside of "Rush. 5 man. Overwhelm. Destroy."

2018-12-13 03:46
Not really far. Maybe it'll do in your local scene but you need more than just aim.
2018-12-13 03:56
good name = good player
2018-12-13 03:56
players like ropz, stewei, flusha, magisk and even fer from mibr are players who gave more attention to their aim over their game sense, on the other hand there is fallen, chrisj, gla1ve and krimz to support them in the game tacticals. if you want to be a complete player you should look for players like coldzera, simple, niko and device who had both abilities
2018-12-13 04:04
Flusha. Aim over gamesense. K den
2018-12-14 17:24
if you are lazy as fuck, just focus on playing in a safe way, dont be that guy who rushes with 1 pop flash and exposing yourself, also dont play like s1mple, if you get one kill, fall back, change positions etc just join a team, see what roles you will need to do, and then fast foward a demo of someone that plays the same position, if you study the position 1 hour per day, you will be godlike in amateur leagues (considering you are already very good at movement + aim but still nobrainer)
2018-12-13 04:10
Brazil Collee
I'll try that. Thanks
2018-12-13 05:22
good luck my friend <3
2018-12-13 06:28
It really depends. You can be the best aimer in the world but if you don't know any nades, can't communicate, have no gamesense, and don't know any maps or strats you will never make it. You need to be at least competent at all of those things to go pro.
2018-12-13 05:25
to #1 player in the world (s1mple)
2018-12-13 05:46
P2mple LUL easy top1 for devve
2018-12-13 06:08
Depends if you want to win or be topfragger of your team. There is a million things you can do to win that dont rely on aiming. And when it comes to really talented people you need some serious gimmicks to get into a situation where you can rely on aim. Good teams dont leave it up to aimduels alone. But if your aim is really good then try to play opening fragger role, and from 1-2 drop leave it for your team to make something of it

depends if your nick is good

Pure aim can take you to Global lvl 8 from my experience. I play with everyone except friends muted.

Many people actually have pretty fucking good aim. But to be a pro you have to have incredible gamesense. You can watch tournaments for that watching demos isn't mandatory. Demos mainly helps you break down strats I suppose. So yea just improve game sense and you're good to go

I do believe it definitely is but depends on person I suppose. Most people won't be pros anyway, do they watch demos or not won't make difference for them I feel xddd
2018-12-14 16:16
All the players you mentioned here had to learn how to play tactically at one point in his career they were noticed for their talents and then they had to adapt to strategy fast
