lets be honest pros are getting bored of the game, shroud and skadoodle smart players to transition into streamers real peak of CS was 2015-2016 twitch viewership: sullygnome.com/game/Counter-Strike_Globa.. only increase was when c9 was in finals... look at drop since begin of year also look on steam even csgo went free it still has not hit peak reached 2 years back real solution is for valve to make a new game... only then will the community grow again (like from 1.6 and source to csgo)
2018-12-13 16:08
The only reason people watched it on twitch in the first place was for gambling
2018-12-13 16:10
twitch viewership is declining because esl are forcing us to watch on facebook and youtube. also people watch major on steam tv or whatever it is

The real problem with new cs:go are accounts and skins. Valve would need to find a way to port everything to the new game (mostly valuable skins), cause many people would not be happy if they would lost everything. I don't know how hard that is tho. Also with many updates coming out rn means that valve probably isn't planning a new game
2018-12-13 16:11
they wont care and it's totally understandable.

I think they really would have to care. Most people put some money to skins and if Valve would just throw their potential money away they would be pissed. That would cause an enormous drop in players.
2018-12-13 16:15
if people put money into a 6 year old game thats their problem. cod brings out new games every 2 years with new skins and people buy them. just be real here. if a new cs drops everyone would play it

The skin market is what has kept cs running this long, if they mess over all those skin buyers, then csgo will die

people will find reasons to stay on csgo, but if new game comes out people will eventually switch over it's like 1.6 all over again people keep saying it's best game ever they won't switch... well everyone plays cs go now

cs 1.3-1.5 1.6 = cs 1 cs:s = cs2 cs:cz = cs3 cs:go = cs 4 you mean cs 5? not anytime soon. its not even the same game when it was in 2013. they will just update it and thats it. maybe in like 5-6 years. even if its not what it was during 2016 its still in a good place. its still alive. solid playerbase compared to 1.6 and the early days of cs go before skins(we were playing with 20k concurrent lol) big tournaments still in bring in good numbers. it just stopped growing. it is dead as a streaming game. and thats normal. even lol, dota, pubg are dead as stream games. people dont watchthese games they just watch streamers.
2018-12-13 16:12
"still in a good place". "its still alive". "solid playerbase" "big tournaments still in bring in good numbers" meet the poor delusional cs fan dude, seek professional help only thing that is still alive is dirty money flow and the hype of commentators

2018-12-13 16:19
Doesn't the fact that you were looking for my threads only to find that I am constantly exposing this little crusty crap that is cs:go just proves my point. This bait is perfect, because it is pure truth.

first of all you are a newfag so you dont know how bad it was when it was actually dead. you spend hours on a place to trigger people that is dedicated to cs to claim its dead. which is pathetic even if its to bait. there are a shit ton of tournaments and the scene is healthy. players are making big bucks. a shit ton of people were playing the game and paying for esea and faceit(makin em rich) that is happening when the devs are useless. come majors we still get a lot of viewers. during t1 playoff time we get a shit load of players. when a new exciting player that is not introverted enters the scene he can still grow his social media following like its 2015. game is fun to play. fn to watch. and most of its followers are hardcore. have a nice day.
2018-12-13 16:26
Sure pally. Mirage, Inferno, Cache, Dust II fun to play and watch. Maybe if you update chicken textures. OMEGALUL You are living in a bubble. Shit ton of 12 year olds clicking for a while in this half assed mod to a 20 years ago fun vent crawling arcade does not mean anything.

I bet you enjoy watching a guy defending sand in Inferno for a 320102131023 time in a row. I am not judging you. There are people who enjoy watching curling, american wrestling or f***king baseball. You may enjoy watching all those different shades of autism, but just admit that CS:GO is just a niche game right now, held just by unbelievable money laundry orgy (russian orgs OMEGALUL).

shit bait. 1.6 was niche. csgo aint. all sports are repetitive. doesnt mean they get boring. your reasoning is dumb even tho you try to hide your baits under the pretense of logic. thats a big no no. fucking grow up mate. if you dont like it. just leave. lol
2018-12-13 18:58
No, most sports are not repetitive, because real life >>>>> some lame computer simulation. Even curling and baseball (even tho I lol them) are way more interesting than CS:GO. They even had to add RNG and some stupid spray pattern to give you illusion of any sense in this. And also format of CS:GO is different. This is not tennis or football. It is based around inventing new strats, making new plays, discovering the map and utilizing your game sense. This shit is played out rn and double that boring. I would accept this whole CS:GO nonsense and casually watch and play it only if: - aiming and shooting would be way more skill based than it is right now - maps had 1 to max 2 years expiration date

incorrect. they are the same. the jerseys might change. they might ve better equipment but its still the same. like tennis. 100+ years. same fucking game. only better players. and changing metas. people used to rally, then they started serve and volleying now its baseline defending. still the smae game. still emotianl. still fun to watch. just lik cs. the rest is your own personal opinion.
2018-12-13 19:20
Tennis. Different format, real people, real physics, no guessing, no randomness, level ultra hard. Exciting and alive for next 100+ years. Only problem, traps and testosterone in WTA. Meanwhile. CS:GO. Virtual broken world, lame excuse for physics, Level soft, everybody hitting headshots without effort. Same maps, same plays. Timing, random damage and economy momentum deciding who wins. Dejavu ultrahard. And on top of that you can always cheat or be accused of cheating.

the small amount of rng doesnt directly impact pro cs scene. hitboxes are amazing now. hitreg is great. netcode is the greatest compared to other games. as long as people feel the same excitement watching a cs match then its fine.

Playerbase has hit a 23 month high. Yeah it's because of F2P but that doesn't mean 600k+ = dead game. You're fucking braindead if you think a playerbase that big means the game is dead.

why would be need a new cs? current one is fine, it needs some changes regarding matchmaking, anti cheat, servers ect But what would a new cs bring? we don't need a new one which will be fine after 1year of update. What would you want more in the game?

man i feel like Skins are a major reason why they won't develop a totally new game. Its like, worth some millions I suppose. It just needs a new engine but I don't think that's so likely seeing CSGO's small development team.

in the event of a possible new game they will probably move all the skins into the new game and they will probably make it untradeable or unmarketable for the new game(and if you like trade for it or buy one on the market it wont show up in the new game) so they will be like souvenir skins that wont effect the new games economy.

pros aren't getting bored. Do u even watch pro matches? Look at the emotion of the players when winning a crucial round or clutch. Even astralis were getting hyped at EPL Finals. CS:GO is a dead stream game because battle royale has taken over and 7 year olds gag on ninja's c*ck on his stream. So don't expect there to be 1mil viewers on ppl who stream. CS:GO is the most watched game when the majors come around and most T1 events.

2018-12-13 18:58
Tbh, people are forgetting TV Licenses, For example in Denmark our big national television has brought the rights to all cs tournaments, so we watch it in the television instead of on steam, making numbers drop there, but increase in reality.

They said it many times.. that they want to focus on CS:GO only, and it shows.. when they release new game modes, f2p.. panorama, economy changes and more. But.. I feel like a new CS:GO "ERA" for the game will start around 2019, winter of 2019 more better said, and source 2 will be fully ported to the game.. will this be a good adition thats the question..? time will tell.. thats the real thing. Is a risky move, but its a move that the game WILL need by that time. Game is very limited by such outdated engine, and porting it to source 2, not only will give a lot more content, but the game should be more optimized, and it will give it a complete "face wash" (which it might need..).
