I'm confused about who are the people who are Rioting in your country. I understand Macron has like a 25% approval rating and that the reason for these riots are because of Gas tax but I have a few questions. Does Macron align with the Conservative Party or the Democratic Party? What else has he done to cause these riots? Would you like a PM like President Trump who has strong Nationalistic views? This isn't a joke thread, I'm actually curious, I'm really into politics and this is super interesting to me. Thank you for anyone who responds to this and helps answer my curiosity

> Does Macron align with the Conservative Party or the Democratic Party? France doesn't work this way. There are multiple parties and only four of them are revelant nowadays : LREM, the Macron's party, he's center or center-right according to people. The party was created for the 2017 election by Macron itself. It's close to the Democratic Party, yes. Front National (FN), the historic far-right french party who rose in popularity since the 2017 Presidential election. The party's leader, Marine Le Pen, is considered as the biggest concurrent of Macron. La France Insoumise (FI), this party is like the waste of the socialism and communism who survived after Hollande's presidency and is far-left. Les Républicains (LR), the historic right party but they're doing shady things. This is the closest thing to a Conversative Party. We can say that Macron does align with the Democratic Party, but you can't really compare as the society and politics aren't the same in France and in USA. Our prime minister is closer to the conservative than democratic imo but Macron government is greatly democratic. > What else has he done to cause these riots? Lowered the speed limits (from 90km/h to 80km/h), rose the social contributions for elderies and everyone overall, a controversial high-school reform with a terrible set up. > Would you like a PM like President Trump who has strong Nationalistic views? Personally, I would.

Macron is a "progressist", "globalist" who is hated by both "leftists" and "nationalists". Nationalists obviously think he is a "Rothschild puppet" that will increase immigration in favor of the "elites" (the establishment) lowering the salaries (because of the increased concurrency between french workers with "low qualifications" and now "refugees"), and yet at the same time "leftists" think his policy is too hard towards immigration. Macron can basically say "anything" and "his opposite" in a week span, he doesn't really have a "view" for the country and wasn't expecting people to wake up and start riot. Some of his ministers were from the two "historical" parties (Le Parti Socialiste - "leftist", but Hollande was from the Parti Socialiste and declared "my enemy is finance", and at the end he had a policy helping the richest, and also from "Les Républicains", pseudo "Right" that people from the "alt-right" like Le Rassemblement National (ex-Front National with Marine Le Pen) would call "weak" or "cuck", because they did the same policy in the past than the Parti Socialiste - like Sarkozy as a president has said "we will clean up those "cités" - poor suburbs with high percentage of people from african descendants and high criminality - and he did nothing), and some declared things like "Macron he is a man without a project, because he is a man without convictions" (said by Bruno Le Maire, now in Macron's government) or Darmanin (also in the Government)"Macron more than being a remedy for France, will be his fatal poison), now these guys left those dying parties "Parti Socialiste and Les Républicains) and joined Macron to become ministers and such ... Yeah in "non cuck" right people, a guy like Trump would be seen as a great leader (or at least much better than Macron). And "what has Macron done to cause these riots ?" he deleted the "impot sur la fortune" (a tax paid by some rich people) and asked the poor "to do some efforts" because the country "is suffering" and such, and has been outright scornful towards french people "in a train station you can meet all types of people, the ones who are successful and those who are "nothing" - ceux qui ne sont rien", Macron has said that or things like "french are refractory Gaul" who "don't want changes", or talking about women working in a factory as "illiterate", giving a lesson to a teenage boy that called him "Manu" (for Emmanuel) instead of saying to him "Monsieur" (Mister) or "Monsieur le Président de la République" (Mister Président), almost humiliating him (posting the video on the social networks saying "listen til the end") and a few months later he was hugging (almost felt gay, because he was holding them tight) black "thugs" (robbers) . And more, i can try to answer other questions.
