Interstellar is boring if you just see that Americanized scenario, otherwise in terms of images and credibility (maths, spaceships, theory of the 4rd dimension) Nolan did a really great job

100% on metacritic and rotten tomatoes, considered by many to be the best movie of all time. It’s old, so maybe that’s why you never heard of it, it’s worth it, seriously

I absolutely love interstellar (also liked Memento). But I think The Dark Knight has to be the best Nolan movie. Just think about how good that movie was, everyone watched it, even people not into DC stuff. Had probably the best actor performance of this century.

As funny as it sounds I watched LOTR just coupe weeks ago. I couldn't get the hype about this movie. Sure it was good but nothing spectacular imo, except probably the CGi which was good for its time.

It's a unique experience, but it requires getting into. The story itself is quite average, just the world that is presented through the story is something special. cough books were better
2019-01-07 01:18
Those were my first thoughts that most of lotr fans come from the books. Also a small thing that I didn't like was that the main characters were super strong like a dwarf and hobits just obliterate uruk hai soldiers who were described as powerfull creatures.

If it makes it any better the orcs are literal retards, so they have no real chance in a 1v1 situation as they have no idea what to do past smash, and are much better in group scenarios following orders like a set pitch battle where there are fewer degrees of freedom. So anyone with basic training beats an orc in a 1v1.
2019-01-07 13:28
I was talking about uruk hai in particular. Arent they a different race?

They are specially bred to be stronger, faster and more sun-resilient but no mention is made of improved intelligence, so I didn't assume there was one. Saruman made them from orcs.
