If we detected it getting dangerously close it would still give us ample time to get ballistic missiles ready to obliterate it while it was already in space. There will be debris that would hit the earth and cause damage but those damages/casualties are nothing compared to a head on collision.
2019-01-08 00:37
You know why ballistic missiles are called ballistic missiles, right? Also, its way too massive

yes I do You can launch nuclear weapons into space, just need more rocket power. Im aware of how big it is, A collision with multiple nuclear payloads could knock it off course just enough for it to go past the earth
2019-01-08 00:52
It does need a lot though, and to deliver them this far to still have some distance to the earth requires immense amounts of fuel

LIkelyhood of this event happening are slim to none.

The elites around the world creating the new world order to mind control the population into mindless drones. Solution: elect Donald Trump to another 4 years. He is the shining light in this dark world.

Yellowstone erupts, causing the San Andreas fault to crumble. Thats NA gone, along with the surrounding areas that will suffer from ash clouds and radiation. This will kill off many plants and animals, will pollute most of the oceans killing water lifeforms. With so little food and many diseases to come people will slowly die off in europe, asia and oceania. Africa is already fucked

Well then we’re fucked. That is why it’s important to get colonies on the moon (at the least) and mars Humanity was born on the earth, wasn’t meant to die here.
2019-01-08 01:07
Didnt nasa or someone else say that there should be a few colonies on Mars by 2025?

Elon Musk is planning on getting humans on mars by 2024. Colonies will take quite a bit longer but I’d guess by 2028-2030 we should have permanent settlements there. To think we reached the moon in 1969 but we are still primitive when it comes to space. It’s so hard to believe, something has to be missing in this “truth” We 100% have the technology and the capabilities to reach well into our solar system. Really disappointing that we are so far behind where we should be in terms of space exploration. Someone is trying to slow us down.
2019-01-08 01:14
The moon landing was aided by the political motivation to display dominance over the USSR. Since the Soviet Union dissolved the US hasn't really been challenged in space exploration and has lead to a disinterest in space and a focus on domestic issues. It's honestly kind of criminal that we've stopped paying attention to the stars. Get your country and government back on it. Sincerely, Head_Of_Moon_Foreign_Relations

Since Trump came in office there has been a new invigoration in the public space program. Which is great. I say public because there is obviously a private space program kept out of public eye. Most of what NASA does is kept hidden from the public, that I am certain of.

an extremely large meteor hits Earth - about the same size as the one that wiped out the dinosaurs, virtually guaranteeing humanity's extinction.. As it approaches Earth, all of the countries in the world miraculously unite to attempt to stop the meteor with whatever force is necessary. All of the nuclear weapons in the world are used to destroy the meteor. Unfortunately, due to the blast, Earth has been knocked slightly out of orbit, and over the next hundred years, slowly drifts closer and farther from the sun, resulting in inhabitable conditions wiping out humanity.

all nuclear weapons fired at the same time would do that.

no they would not. 1. Thousands of nuclear missiles would not be launched to destroy an asteroid, you would not need anywhere close to that amount 2. Even if you have the entire worlds arsenal of nuclear weapons detonated, that is still less energy than the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. 3. The asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was not even strong enough to change the earths orbit.

AI takes over the worlds nuclear arsenal with a view to eradicating the human race who they deem inferior. So humans send someone back in time to stop the AI from gaining control. EZ

No my friend. They may be weak/snowflakes etc. But they are a parasite, a disease that’s growing and growing and infecting society. The disease of the SJW mentality is ravaging the western culture. If something is not done (a massive wave of normalcy) the world will go down a path that it will not return from.

Yellowstone erupts, thick smog literally covers the planet, thus making no sun light get in so we need to adapt to live without the sun, which is probably not gonna be possible.
