why having a car?
Brazil imkindaboredtbh
if you live in a big city, what is the argument to have a car? you can use public transp and uber, save tons of money and most of the times its faster than cars (subway for example)

If you live in a big city its pointless. But most people have one because is needed for work and offers flexibility and freedom

Shopping food / work / travel far to visit relatives (fuck train lol)
2019-01-11 13:03
go to the market and travel is the exactly the 2 only reasons why I'm looking for a car
2019-01-11 13:11
Yeah. I mean, if you shop big (like you always do when you get salary) its easy having a car to put like 9 bags of food in the trunk & go home instead of sitting on a train/bus for 15-30 minutes then carry all the bags lol.

public transport is never faster than your own car, bicycle MIGHT be if youre athletic and theres actually a lot of traffic. Also you need to take a look on how is a big city determined. is it 2 million population or 10 million or 200 thousand. public transport is usually always filled too
2019-01-11 13:04
What the fuck do you mean 'its never' faster than your car? Subway is 100% of the times faster.
2019-01-11 13:04
Subway yes. But not all cities/towns have subway dude. Our bigger cities here in Sweden (Stockholm, Gothenburg & Malmö) do have subway, regular train, tram & bus, but all smaller towns have bus only, lol.
2019-01-11 13:17
Well i did mention big cities
2019-01-11 13:19
nah, in finland we have 25 subway stations in the whole country.
2019-01-11 13:18
bycicle can suck ass too. here where i live is very hot, i can go biking in the morning but like 2 or 3 o'clock its impossible. all sweat to work

yeah, same here in summer
2019-01-11 13:48
Well, I live in London. I do 11 miles to work. 25 mins by car. Public transport around 2 hrs. Can't cycle cuz of a crossing, unless I go round about 30 miles. Anything else? And btw, I got free diesel, Uber would cost me about 40-50 quid a day
2019-01-11 13:05
I live in Brasilia, i can take a bus to the station (5m), and 30m until work with the subway. You pay only one ticket for both, its all integrated, so anywhere i can take a bus to the closes station, get there very fast and then go further with the subway
2019-01-11 13:08
Depends on cities. Depends where you work. Most live on outskirts and travel towards centre. Some dont

lol. it amazes me a brazilians talking about this, our public transportation sucks dude. car is the best thing ever invented just gotta use it right. travel on your own listening to music pick your girl everytime and if you have nowhere to go just chill on the car safety and A/C if the public transportation worked here in the correct timing and not as full as a goddamn ant raid i'd be happy to use it.

São Paulo, Brasília, Curitiba - these are the only three capitals i know, and all of them are amazing on public transportation. The smaller cities i know have great bus service, so i don't know, maybe you live in a shithole (not meant as an offense).
2019-01-11 13:31
i live in capital of petróleo rich city but very corrupted.. SP and brasilia sucks. Curitiba is nice tho
2019-01-11 13:38
Brasília is the best city in brazil, not even kidding. You prolly never came here, safety, transport, aesthetics, its the best place ive ever lived (and ive travelled a lot).
2019-01-11 13:39
i only like cities with beach

I have pretty good money, part of it is because i don't throw it away with cars and whores.
2019-01-11 13:31
what is pretty good money for your standards?
2019-01-11 13:39
Since you're BR i'll say in R$. I earn about 13k a month as salary, have around 450k of assets and earn passive income from dividends and interest.
2019-01-11 13:40
interesting salary. the famous classe media alta. You can have an average car
2019-01-11 13:41
Well tbh my salary is the thing i care the least... Since i invest most of it, i'm planning to quit in 2020 so i can live only frmo passive income and do only what i like. Though a lot of people don't agree with me, the key to happiness is never getting married and never having children. You don't have the risk of divorcing and giving all your money to some random whore and all. I'm 28 yrs old and will absolutely never marry. That's the only way you can have a lot of money (if you're not willing to do illegal stuff or make a startup)
2019-01-11 13:47
there is no key to happiness. happiness is in the moments. you can have all the money in the world if you dont have someone who loves u like friends family and girl/boy you won't be happy, thats the basics. marriage is only a representation to spend money on a party, its useless tbh, but being with some1 you truly love now thats the real deal. kids can be wonderful as well, not that i have them or planning to have but in the future i want

I got one for work (only 10 mins away) and so I can go to taco bell whenever i want. Before I got a car I would get a taxi to work and back which cost me £20 a day. No uber where I live and bus doesn't run at 5am when I leave for work
