LMAO Pele is the most overrated player in history. How Pele got his record was by going to tournies and facing way way worse teams than himself. Besides Pele played on a era where the're we're no footballers in a high class. His records mean nothing.

2019-01-17 15:19
true fact my friend, pele is shit, really overrated, and im brazilian, but i would put maradona in a top 5 even tho he played in the 80's and had still no competition, but skillwise maradona was absurd. i would say my top 5 stands like these. 1.messi 2.cr7 3.ronaldinho 4.the real ronaldo, the fenomeno 5.maradona
2019-01-16 21:37
I do agree you putting in Maradona in the list. The Brazilian Ronaldo was amazing but his not better than Zidane and should be replaced by him. Ronaldo is better than Messi. Ronaldo can do something that Messi can never do. He doesn't dissapear when playing internationally and actually carries his team unlike Messi that still has Higuain, Dybala, Di Maria, Aguero and Mascherano. He has never won anything with Argentina while Ronaldo has. Besides Ronaldo has more goals than him. The only excuse that Messi is better is that he can dribble better than Ronaldo and so what? Ronaldo still is better when it comes to goals, club and internationally.

No dude you're just delusional. To think that Ronaldo is a goalscorer, Messi a playmaker and still Messi outperforms him in goals just show why you can't say ronaldo is better than him. And if you think Argentina is a good nationality then check a full game of them and analyse them tactically. It doesn't matter if you have better players with a worse coach and if you think Ronaldo carried Portugal to win in 2016 you are completely wrong
2019-01-17 20:56
Ronaldo carried Portugal to the final. Messi isn't that better of an play maker than Ronaldo since his an great in box player. Messi doesn't out score him. Its only when messi got the great year of 91 goals where he did it and this season but that is due to Ronaldo changing clubs. Messi plays against worse teams like Real betis while Ronaldo often plays against better teams in the league. When ronaldo now has swapped clubs messi having more goals than him is irrelevant since Ronaldo plays in Serie a. Which is a way way harder league than La liga. The only thing messi can truely prove his better than Ronaldo is in the Champions league or internationally and we both have seen how Messi faded away in the world cup while Ronaldo was in front and carried PORTUGAL against Spain. We have both seen how Ronaldo scored against Juventus, PSG the last season in the UCL when Messi couldn't get pass Roma. I know how Argentina has had a terrible coach and a terrible back line. But Messi having the great strikers he has of Dybala, higuain, di Maria, mascherano and aguero should try and play his own game and pull something of. Or try and do something. Not like he did against Croatia just sittning at the sideline and watching your team lose.

what about wc 2014 where messi scored 4 goals and carried his team to the final ? u can't just cherry pick one world cup and ronaldo contributed nothing in the euro final he was out in 25th minute but unlike messi's team his team came through and won him the euro final and yeah messi does outscore ronaldo in goals per match and he is a little behind ronaldo in goals because he has played almost 150 games less than ronaldo but still he has 50 more assists than him which only points out that messi is a great team player who creates chances and has provides more assists to his team unlike ronaldo who just runs in the box waiting for someone to assist him and he was able to score goals in real madrid because their only strat was to pass to ronaldo so he can score goals which is not wrong but its not impressive either on the other hand messi almost always work hard for his goals dribbling past players and if u really watched football u would know how much impact messi has in the game and how much impact ronaldo has its like device and simple situation just because device wins more tournaments than simple does not mean he is better than simple individually

There are world cups since 1930, Pele played in the 70s, what the fuck are you talking about lol I don’t think he is the best player of all time, but you can’t deny his number, he was so far ahead of every player around that time
2019-01-18 16:41
Bro Pele boosted his goals by going to tournies with low ranked teams. Imagine Juventus playing in Sky bet league one it wouldn't be a huge achivement if Ronaldo scoared 100+ goals would it? Besides he played at an era where players didn't even have football as their full time job. Where the're was no era. Just because a World cup existed doesn't mean that all good players played at it. He wasn't even the MVP for Brazil. I first agreed that he had amazing numbers and was one of the best. But when doing som research about him i changed my mind quick. Watch this he talks about Pele: youtube.com/watch?v=m7Nx49YpTJc&t=1s

Like I said, I dont think hes the best of all time, Ronaldinho is the best of all time in my opinion. Ronaldinho hasn’t had that many goals on hes carrer, but every game I’ve watched him playing was magical. Pele wasn’t even a striker, specially on the world cup, maybe he were out played by other brazilian player in the WC but his impact in the games were enormous. I truly belive Pele is not overrated at all, you can’t compare now and the 70s, I bet you could said Cr7 and messi, wouldn’t be able to have that much control of the ball with a soccer ball as heavy as bowling ball the same it was back in the days. People can say whatever they want, you have to watch the interview of his fellow teammates and all the people the play with him and against him, then you will get a solid conclusion.

Playing in the 70s is OFC different from today. He has alwayat been a striker If i'm corecct. Doesn't make sense not putting him as a striker in the most important match you will ever play. But my paint still stands as the're was no real era and teams back then.... Either way Pele is great but i don't feel he de deserves to be in the top 5.

He was a midfielder just like Ronaldinho and not a striker like Messi. Brasil always had good players, and also argentina, uruguay and some european contries. You think the 70s and 80s are too far behind lol, The first world cup in brazil was back in the 50s and we also had some big names in that time. Pele was great even before his number 200th goal, but number are just number, the things that he did on the field are the ones who made him great. Its not that he played on low level league purposely to make his numbers go up, after playing in a top brazilian league and winning world cups he was ofered a very big contract to play in USA, just like david beckham and Ibrahimovic. Wouldn’t you consider their time right before retirement playing in a not so good league as peofessional players or would you discard any titles or goals that they’ve score during this time? Did move to LA galaxy made Beckham a bad player lol Pele hs earned his Name, and he also brought soccer to a lot of natios in central america and africa. Untill this day, no one has ever beat his records under the brazilian national soccer jersey except for world cup goals

google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherrep.. Check this article Here is says that Pele score over 430 times on his first 350 offical matches , a avreage of 1.28 score per match And as you are a CR7 fanboy, Pele has 20 titles under brazil national jersey, Cr7 has only 1 which was the Eurocup lol Pele has 27 titles with clubs Cr7 has only 23 titles But in in your mind, bacause a pele hater made a stupid video on YouTube, he definitely made your mind lol
2019-01-20 11:29
Ofc moving to a different league doesn't make you worse. I'm talking about going to another league and building up your score. That's still not bad. But If most of your goals are from playing in worse Leagues then you should really put that into considuration and not just look at stats like everyone does. You can also not campare international titles like Ronaldo and pele since pele played where the're wasn't that big of an era. Btw comparning a strong Brazil with amazing players with Ronaldos decent team isn't fair. As I said before you need to look more deeper than just stats like most of the football community does. What i know Pele is a offensive midfielder. My point still stands as the're was no real era. No real teams. Sure the 70s may not lack behind by much but putting inconsider the difference then and now and competing for the best will effect the ranking.
2019-01-20 23:49
the best part about ur statement is that ur 16 and never saw pele play once.....lul

Can compare they were beasts in their era but Im pretty sure only Messi ronaldo Maradona Pele can go in a debate Players like gullit, cruyff ronaldinho, r9 etc were good but only oldheads or football noobs try to mention them just because they like to seem more intelligent even though they never watched more than 5 matches and only watched skill compilations from youtube 4Head. Imo rn there are beasts players like Ribery, Lewa, that are not considered that good just because people can watch any match when they dont perform well and remember the shit times but they remenber that Zidane goal And lets not forget EVEN THE SMARTEST OLDHEADS FORGOT about defenders, cdms, goalies. Why players like Ramos, ferdinand, roberto carlos, buffon, lev yashin etc are not worth mentioning?

Hard to say definitively with the amount football changes. Defenders 10 years ago were 10x better than the defenders we see now. So you could argue that is one of the causes for Messi and CR7's amazing stats. Also take into account that most of the people voting will never have seen some of the people on that list in their primes. But for me - It'd have to be Messi.
2019-01-16 16:30
Maradona carried an average team to the national title, when the Serie A was the best league in the world He also carried a mediocre Argentina to a WC, I can't say that about anyone else in the list.

The only difference between Messi and Ronaldo is their playstyle. Nobody comes even close to those 2. In my eyes it's impossible to say who is really better over their whole career. lol, I see too many kids here who do not really understand football. Messi is a pure magic of football. Every touch he makes is magnificent. Look at how he plays! Everything he does seems so easy, He is the real master of football. Okay, may be he is not GOAT, but if Messi isn't the GOAT then CR7 doesn't stand a chance to be called GOAT.

Frankly speaking, he has more tournaments won than CR7, and he has more influence on game than CR7. Chuvak ya ne prodolju etot bessmislenniy spor. Xoroshego vechera.

name a match which messi won with a team that wasn't the best, name me a match against a top team where messi stepped up, carried his team and comebacked to a hard earned victory, obviously he is the best player if you only take highlights and goals against bottom 10 laliga teams into consideration. But that's not what football is about, football is about winning trophies as a team, and I don't see messi as the key figure of any barca team, star player-maybe, but key figure never.

i don't want to get into an argument but if you really think xavi carried messi that means you didn't watch football back then.

How can you call messi goat? All his life he has been playing in a stacked barcelona against dogshit teams besides one or two. Shit internationally, and almost nothing in europian championship trophies.

Okay guys, lets be serious now The real GOAT of footbal is Ronaldinho, there is no doubt, he was doing impossible things, could anyone than Ronaldinho juggling the ball with closed eyes? I think no Who was first to shot free kicks underwall? RONALDINHO Who was going through whole pitch easily? RONALDINHO Who was scoring the best goals? RONALDINHO Who could bounce the bar with ball with like 5x,6x times in a row and the ball was still in the air! RONALDINHO Who was the best in tricks, dribbling? RONALDINHO Ronaldinho also was playing in a times where competition was higher than now, if u think guys there is no doubt that Ronaldinho is the GOAT, he showed us everything about football, I dont get people voting for Messi, CR7 and Pele XDDDD Have a great weekend!
