I heard the purpose of it was to overcome Kylie Jenner's instagram's world record of likes on a photo or some bs. Just imagine people would unite like that when it comes to the important stuff, neither can I. Just imagine people would just double tap their screens to sign a petition or whatevers. I mean isn't it crazy? That we see stuff like this and live in this kind of world with all dumass that stuff going on around.....šmh

that was the actual purpose, to try beating Kylie Jenner's instagram post record lmao. And the person who did this actually succeeded overwhelmingly.

yea but for what? What kind of challenge is that? Why do people even consider that as a record? record of what? of a non brainers who blindly follow some posh brainwashed person who does what? LMAOs

I get it, the person, group or some org. whoeever and whatever decided to do a thing like this thought it would be funny.. it kinda is funny but in a bad way in my eyes.. cause it shows how easily our attention can be manipulated.. I know it sounds weird but - there shouldn't be no person like Kylie Jenner who had the most likes on a photo in the first place! What does it say about US? It does reflect society in some ways, don't you think?

ofc it does, people just like anything thats funny to them. The egg's liked by people all over the world now somehow so meh. and apparently the one who posted the pic is just one single person.

I know it's a worldwide thing.. I don't know I just don't like it because it does not bring any contribution to the world besides setting some dumb world record. We should have set a world record for not tossing shit ton of garbage everywhere a person goes or for not shooting another man or beating a women Idgaf.. It's pointless and like most unimportant things in history this won't be remembered for a long time I guess

prob not, I just find it amusing that a plain egg actually made a world record.
2019-01-17 01:56
you're giving bad examples here. they all take way more effort than liking an instagram pic and you don't consider the "for the lols" factor. people live boring, mundane lives. they're more inclined to do something that gives them even a shred of enjoyment, especially the less effort it takes. i'm sure you know part of the reason for things to go viral in general, is the idea of being part of a group/community (here, the "egg-liker"), so i'll spare you that explanation. the people that care about the things you listed already don't do them. so what you want, is for more ppl to care about issues that don't affect them directly or that they don't see as a problem. sorry bud, that's not how human nature works. we're inherently self-involved. and of course it'll be forgotten soon, being remembered is neither part of it's purpose nor function. it's really just for the short grin when you click the button - "free serotonin, yay!" - that's all.

I agree with you and thanks for the opinion. However when I think about it now, I unintentionally filtered through those comments something non related to it or like you said gave wrong examples. I shouldn't have written anything at all so :D

That's what community did and it's a great thing that the post started from nothing and went to a record and millions of likes. This shows that every like matters. It was at 1 million when I checked it and since then it went up like mad. Well I am proud to say I got myself 50+ people to like it and 10 more shares.
2019-01-18 15:29
Ez for egg, good protein and most liked pick on instagram
