Please, do not put Brazil there. NA and EU are major CS regions. Brazil is a single country and that has a very poor scene. Every team that wants to grow has to leave. That tells you a lot about Brazil's local CS.

it depends, brazil has more population than portugal+spain+france+germany combined for example, guess it could be considered a region for some

but not a major one. Our tier is way lower than those countries. Inb4, kinda worse than CIS tier 1, if that's even possible.

the amount of good players in brazil is much higher than any of the 4 countries i mentioned. just look at the amount of brazilian teams playing in tier2/3 tournaments thats what defines a region as good or not in cs

But all of them left there. That tells you a lot. The only exception would be The Imperial playing on Americas Minor. Some even qualify for events on NA slots.
2019-01-17 17:54
u forgot the level of poverty. i will not be that wrong if i tell that 4 out of 5 meninos de Portugal have PC. In Brazil i guess 3 would be higher that it should be. Also in Brazil kids have to start make money early on. they don't have so much spare time to waste it in cs. sei la=/

ye dude i completely agree with that i was only considering the regions op mentioned as in how much talent/quality players come from there if were talking infrastructure/financially wise brazil is surely not a reference
2019-01-17 17:58
nah. i am not comparing these countries. i'm saying that total amount of players in brazil isn't that much. honestly, i think in poland there more cs players=/ simply because most of kids don't have the opportunity. maybe i'm wrong. hope that new president will make brazilian people happier and make brazil better place than he found it.

Denmark is 5.8 million people - just saying :-)

Agreed. And their scene is very good and it's team it's ruling it. But my point is, you're inserted in EU region, the best region, even if you don't play with other countries, you play against. But, in Brazil, not the same. First, CS is only a real thing in South and Southeast regions. All players from other places go there (e.g. TACO). Second, if you stay in Brazil, you won't improve shit. Our region, the SA, won't help you be the best. The best team go to other regions were they can learn, improve and then try to be the best. You can't be the best in your region. Different, from Denmark, for example, who can be the best in the world and still be living with their families, or at least see them with super frequency. What I want to say is that, Brazil is not a region. LG and SK majors come from playing in NA and against EU teams, which was only possible when they made into NA region. If you consider regions, BR region never won a major. A BR team won, but inserted in NA region.
