Why mouz lost
Thorin |
Germany wolverinesucks
they are playing against a team they know nothing about. This is a team which has an abundancy of information about mouz, both in antistrats, common plays, tendencies etc. I dont think mouz is trash but they were playing against a team they could not possibly prepare for, and valiance has some pretty good aimers and some rather dumb rush tactics (as they showed on cache CT side pushing mid and counter boosting). In reality, a team would know these tendencies to push and be agressive and would be prepared to counter that. If you look at both matches, valiance won a stupid amount of rounds due to these plays so yea, gg.

this is their first lan and the player on the interview admitted that they used to play only puggy style without strats.

just trying to find some reasoning, in the end of the day valiance > mouz so well deserved. I just feel it should have been much closer and more competitive.
2019-01-17 21:06
i getcha
2019-01-18 00:04
tbh.. Valiance played amazing and has a lot of firepower they would've went easily through in the other group
2019-01-17 20:56
true, and very exciting playstyle, they really test their opponents.

They did, but mouz should've won it if they were not just underestimating lower tier teams :/
2019-01-18 13:26
how can't they prepare? Valiance play all the time online, actually it is mouz who could have come up with new strats but I guess they were enjoying their holidays while Valiance was already playing x DDD

lol valiance took only fair fights there wasnt any fking strats
2019-01-17 20:57
i mean... they clearly showed a tendency to push smokes and take insane risks. They pushed the smoke in mid cache like 3 times, they counterboosted and dropped. If mouz was aware that they would do this they would for sure have someone holding these positions. They were so unaware that the guy dropped from boost and nobody even heard it.
2019-01-17 21:08
Yeah Valiance were extremely aggressive. Mouz might have felt like what North did against the teams in the Main Qualifier, or Vega against NiP, or Astralis against North at Stockholm.
2019-01-18 11:08
" they are playing against a team they know nothing about. ", so following ur train of thought all no-namer teams should win against t1 teams, isn't it? "I dont think mouz is trash but they were playing against a team they could not possibly prepare for" both teams don't use the exactly same strats every tournament, they came back from vacation with new stuff and VACO just created better stuff than mouz, there's not so much to do about it.
2019-01-17 20:58
Valience played 4 maps before the bo3 with Mousesports in the minor.. Tell me again how they cant prepare when they have 4 different demos to watch.,. One of the maps was even against Mousesports.. And its not like they are a t5 team - They should be able to get lots of info about them.
2019-01-17 20:59
they won 3/4 pistols and had 5-0 leads both maps, yet still got beat quite handily. no excuses, even if they dont know valiance, they should be able to play their own style and winout.

They lost because they didn’t prepare for it. They had only 7 days.
2019-01-18 00:08
They definitely didn't prepare for that, but why? Last mouz's match before minor - December 8th 2018 , so wasn't that enough to prepare for minor?

Mouz lost. theres no excuses. If they want to win they have to practice and prepare. The team that won was the better team on that day. That's it.

Look at the teamspirit Mouz is rocking atm , you can read on their faces they aren't happy. Last year when they had good runs you could see all of them had a good mental state . I just see of their faces already they are not happy , might not even enjoy playing the game
2019-01-18 10:55
They lost because they underestimated valiance, they thought they are some noobs, and thats when karma kicks in.

They lost because they underestimated the other teams at the minor, and overestimated themselves and thought that they could just pwn then like some noobs. They didn't prepare for it and weren't professional enough. I don't really think any roster changes need to be made. I think this will rather be a big wake up call for Mouz and they will take all the other events much more seriously. They better. They also have HUGE problems with choking and getting into the wrong mentality which is why I think they need a better coach. Maybe Zeus after he retires or just pray to seang@res to coach them. They should get a sports psychologist if they haven't already.
2019-01-18 11:06
top 4 team needs to study a tier 3 team to win, lol what a joke, mouz need changes, idk who but they need, not chemistry anymore after styko back

how valiance actually beat mouz just rush out (watch train vod they just rush lol , not that much fake or smoke) on train they know stkyo is playing B so when its 4vs4 , they just go late rush B and otto > oskar
2019-01-18 11:57
What mouz really really needs, is a sports psychologist. The players arent the problem, they were close to top 1 with this lineup. But including the coach they are 5 really calm guys, and chrisj who can get tilted easily. So I would imagine noone is saying anything in their Teamspeak when they are losing, so they play even worse when they lose. The need someone to show them how to get out of such situations. +they need a bit teambuilding, they already said they dont spend much time together, but they should work on that.

+1 first clever answer. Sad that I had to go through so many braindead replies before finding this..
2019-01-18 13:35
"they could not possibly prepare for" true. you cant prepare if you still are in vacation 7 days before the tournament starts. there are only 2 options to explain mouz: 1) they are arrogant af 2) they are dead team I think they are dead. no way there are good vibes in this team after taking back styko

Partly agree that it's harder to prepare against teams that you haven't played much but mouz is currently ranked in the top 5 and throughout the last year they been considered as one of the best csgo teams.. so excusing them that they didn't expect them to play like this or didn't have the knowledge of their strats or how to counter them seems kinda inappropriate in this case.. lack of preparation or just one of those mouz-not-in-a-shape days:D
