White hats in CSGO

Does anyone here think that some cheaters are acting as white hats hackers in CSGO, to improve VAC? I think the cheaters most people know are probably grey hats (do whatever they want, good or bad, without anyone's permission), which is fine, even if there are so many of them

IMO there's no "white hat" cheating, maybe if you play casual just to update hacks into the system, but I don't think that's how that works, since casual players never get banned and the reports go to Narnia. Your first case would be grey-hat, and cheating to win like a cucklord would be black-hat.

Yeah, there's no cheating for the better. I'm saying that some of these white hats would actually show their cheats to Valve (courtesy of 3kliksphilip). Is that a right thing to do?
2019-01-18 05:27
You mean buying a cheat, showing it to valve, and never using it? I guess that could be white hat.
2019-01-18 05:34
I guess you showed me something. Thanks for the tip. People think it's not that hard to catch cheaters, when I'm reality it's more expensive to do that, than to separate them

Honestly, I don't envy Valve one bit. It must be a bitch to try and prevent cheating in an FPS game, not to mention a free-to-play FPS game. I'm so glad I have two accounts with prime and decent trust factor, otherwise this game would probably be unplayable without the use of 3rd party clients, like Faceit.

Envy isn't what Valve wants. It's respect and innovation.

This is csgo not the deep dark scary sp00ky web. There are no white hat hackers.
2019-01-18 05:28
Nobody has time for that stuff in here. Are you saying that all of the cheaters in here don't care about their rep, and/or screw people up in general?

Well they are dishonest hackers.
2019-01-18 05:38
Yeah. I guess you can't catch em all, just because it would be expensive and time consuming to do that. So how would you separate the cheaters and non-cheaters?

You can't. Since vac-net is deep learning, the cheaters will always be one step ahead.
2019-01-18 05:47
True. But, there's a filter in Vacnet BTW. It can sort of tell who's giving bad info to overwatch and who isn't. Seriously, what should I do if Csgo shouldn't go F2P?

No, I don't, they could contact Valve through other ways than this.
2019-01-18 05:45
You can't cheat on vac secured servers.

This is valve job
