MINOR system is SHIT

Just look at it. We have four minors in one place, in Katowice. And there are two good minors (Europe and Americas) and two bad (CIS and Asia) when it comes to level of competition . If minors are LANs in the same place, why we don't have one big minor with 8 spots on major? This is totally unfair that Asia minor, the worst in terms of teams, has the same amount of slots as EU minor and Americas minor. On major we should have the best teams in the world, but actually 6 teams that are out of EU Minor are better than winner teams from CIS or Asia minors.

We should have one big minor with 8 spots to major. Thanks to that we would have better major in terms of competition.

the idea is to give every region opportunity to compete

So, they have their quals online. If they are good, they should get one of the 8 spots to major. If they're not, they shouldn't play on major.

to compete on major, not in quals every region is guaranteed at least 1 spot if u didnt notice most of TOs do so and not only in cs

Majors should have the best teams in the world at the moment. When we guarantee spots on such event in the context of the location, not skills, this is just unfair to EU and NA, where the level of competition is way better than in CIS or Asia.

level of competition is same actually btw unfair to NA OMEGALUL
2019-01-19 09:53
Nope. Every team in EU Minor, even the teams that are the worst in this minor, is better than winner of Asia or CIS minors.

check your understanding of "level of competition"

btw lmao at ex-ss who (with their full roster back then) loses bo3 vs worst team in cis minor and go cry in twitter XDDDDDDDD

Valve does everything for money. There is a lot of Asians who plays cs. That's why there are Asians spots. You won't change it just live with that.

Ok so... i'll explain why they DON'T do this, even though it's a great idea, the regions in the major would be even more unbalanced that it already is. The reason every region gets 2 teams in the major it to keep regions like asia (with the largest population) and CIS (A very dedicated fanbase) interested in the major to boost ratings early on and hope they stay for the remainder of the major series. hope that cleared it up but I highly doubt anyone will care

Too hard for 12 yo olds to understand that Valve cares about amount of people watching in the first place and not about competition level

it's like the olympics, or any big sports event tbh, it's a good concept besides it's not like the asians can't actually compete, they can cause some upsets (as they have in the past)

the same is in football. On World Cup we had Iran, Panama.. I think this rules are imported from football..
2019-01-19 09:55
they already give "better regions" a higher chance by introducing a wildcard round where 2 more teams can qualify. If cis and asia regions are really weaker you will see more and more na and eu teams in the major over the years
