3800000 anually? What a dreeam.
2019-01-20 01:18
As a junior associate i got like 50 k in bonuses and 50k in salary. After my promotion to junior partner i basically get 380% of my old salary. This is how it works in law firms. You either get 80 000 (jumior associate with no important clients) or make up to 25 million only as a bonus (senior partner/ managing partner at a top law firm wirh important clients
2019-01-20 01:22
As a professional jurisconsult, your pathetic attempt to pose as a lawyer is ridiculous. You're pulling these numbers out of nowhere.
2019-01-20 01:29
Let me guess you work for a 2 man firm or for the state? I am not talking about normal lawyers. I am talking about the summa con laude graduates from top law schools. Mediocre lawyers arent needed and can be happy with 60k.
2019-01-20 01:36
And yet, you can't even spell Summa cum laude. If you're a lawyer and you don't even know what a jurisconsult is, you are full of shit.

2019-01-20 02:08
What kind of law do you do, corporate? I've heard of Lawyers making a shit ton of money, sure as fuck beats engineering. Engineering is hard as fuck and at the end you're rewarded with being capped off at 100k. Meanwhile your boss who majored in business administration and doesn't even know what the company does is making 350k a year.
2019-01-20 01:31
Don't take him seriously. I'm an expert on law, and well versed in the salaries of lawyers. ''serendipity'' conveys the typical tell-tale signs of a compulsive liar.
2019-01-20 01:34
I don't really believe him, but how much would a typical lawyer in a good firm make. And this is HLTV, anyone could be lying including you, me, and serendipity.
2019-01-20 01:35
Good lawyers with the right specialization (internation law/financial law) with excellent grades from top universities earn more than 99% of people who are still employed. Mediocre lawyers from noname law schools/unis arent needed and find a hard job market most of them being forced to self employ or work for around 60k for small law firms or in the worst case the state
2019-01-20 01:39
I was gonna specialize in AI, this is a solid track to a half a million dollar salary if you're really good. But, if you don't get into management fast enough you're basically gonna get replaced by some 20 year old in 10 years. An experienced lawyer is actually appreciated, that's what I like about law.
2019-01-20 01:42
A typical lawyer in a good firm would make about 60-200k depending on experience. Even personal lawyers of huge corporations like McDonald's do not make the kind of money serendipity is claiming to make.
2019-01-20 01:42
Damn, why is it so low even at the higher levels? I would think Corporate lawyers that work for a huge company like McDonalds would make at least 500k-1 million dollars.
2019-01-20 01:43
Because most lawyers are washouts like TheOneAboveAll who were married to the library in law school but have 0 qualifications that are needed in the real world where real law is practiced. If you serously believe partners at big law firms would make 200k max noone would study law and get the way easier buisiness administrations degree. Dont listen to TheOneAboveAll since his CV clearly is too bad to even get an internship at a top 10 firm in his country and now closes his ears everytime someone tells him that the reason for his shit salary isnt his degree but his qualifications. Or he lives in a 2nd world country like ukraine were noone except the corrupt government earns good salary. But high qualified lawyers working for top firms in the UK/USA and germany make 200k a month without bonuses
2019-01-20 01:51
I am not a lawyer. You keep showing how ignorant you actually are. I am a jurisconsult, an expert in law. Actual lawyers come to me for guidance. The fact that you have no idea these experts in law actually exist, proves that you are lying.

I agree that serendipity is an obvious 0/8. But especially in law there is no real limit and especially managing partners and senior partners at good firms can make over 3 M per year
2019-01-20 02:10
Indeed. Those are an extremely rare breed, however, and none of them would boast about their salary on HLTV. Strictly salary speaking I make about 60k £. I have made some very lucrative investments with my uncle, and I'm just doing what I love; providing counsel for lawyers/prosecutors.
2019-01-20 02:18
Salaries from the firm, I cannot accurately answer for much of the surplus of money that they make as it varies greatly. Serendipity is claiming to make 3.8 million a year. That's 300,000 dollars a month. He has no grasp on how much money that is.
2019-01-20 01:50
I mean he could be, I don't really believe him, but it's probably possible for a lawyer to make that much.
2019-01-20 02:55
It is possible. Those lawyers do not boast about their salaries on HLTV though. Besides, he thought summa cum laude was spelled ''summa con laude''. Also, he doesn't know there are experts in law that lawyers and prosecutors rely on. I am one of them.
2019-01-20 03:00
Could've just been a typo man idk. Like I said I don't really believe him, I think he's just trying to meme like the DJ 32k a month thing.
2019-01-20 03:02
A lawyer of that caliber would never spell summa cum laude as summa con laude - it just doesn't happen. He is not exactly trying to ''meme'' or ''troll''. He is so unhappy with his life that he's desperately trying to convince others how ''successful'' he is. When people believe him, he is fed some dopamine akin to feeling ''successful''. When people like me expose him for the bullshit, all he can reply is ''You are just a little jealous loser''.
2019-01-20 03:07
If you don't mind me asking what type legal work do you do? And honestly you might be right, but if you think that don't reply to him and give him satisfaction.
2019-01-20 03:09
I specialize in intellectual property and litigation. I'm currently 26-years-old and studying part-time for expertise in international law. To answer your question of what legal work I do; I provide counsel for lawyers and prosecutors in the first two aforementioned fields of law.
2019-01-20 03:17
Is the bonus really 4x your actual salary or is that just from suits?
2019-01-20 03:18
I'm a consultant in matters of law, not an actual prosecutor. I'm quite well regarded with the firm I do business with but the bonus is not 4x my salary. Bonuses for your average lawyer is about 0.6x
2019-01-20 03:26
That's still insane for a bonus honestly. I'm in the wrong field. I'm an engineer, can I go into patent law, how much would I make there? Anyway I can turn my engineering degree into a decent law career if the aforementioned plan isn't viable?
2019-01-20 04:42
financial law and fixing different cases engineering is a hard degree but you have a good income and almost a job guarantee. Also most engineers can get a buisiness degree after and lead a technical sales department where they earn up to 140k. Meanwhile 90% of buisiness administration graduates make 60-70k and only the best (or with the best networks) 10% get the COO/CEO jobs
2019-01-20 01:34
I've seen business majors have some skillset in something that's even lightly technical. Something engineers would probably learn their Freshman year. And companies literally fight over these people and offer them 100k starting. Engineers really don't get paid a lot since it's probably the most important job along with medicine. I really wish Engineers got compensated like lawyers and doctors, especially engineers at a PhD level.
2019-01-20 01:40
PhD'soutside of natural sciences, pharmacy and medicine arent needed and have a small job market since it makes you 'overqualified'( which is the friendly word for too expensive). After a masters degree you should go into working life from my experience. Know many people with PhD's in chemistry who dont find a job for their qualifications since 3 years
2019-01-20 01:44
I agree, but even Masters degree engineers should be making more in my opinion. A lot of MechE's are at 70k-80k. If everyone in HR departments around the country went on strike, what would happen? Probably nothing. If every engineer went on strike? Things would fall apart fast. I know salary isn't dependent on difficulty or importance, but it really should be.
2019-01-20 01:46
If I could choose my studies again I would study financial mathematics and try to get into the management consultment. It is rough and they only take the best aswell as you having to work 80 h per week but nothing seems more interesting than consultment nowadays. But I am too old for another degree and earn good money
2019-01-20 01:57
A lot of low paying jobs are really important aswell. I dont want to sound like an asshole and I get your point but crying about 90k while nursing staff earns 35k a year sounds priviliged for me. Also you knew that engineers cap at 110k before you chose your degree but decided for it anyways
2019-01-20 02:00
I'm choosing a specialization that pays pretty well, so the anger isn't for me personally. I did my research on what paid and what didn't. I just don't think it's fair that other very important engineering specialties don't get paid a lot. A lot of jobs are important, but engineering is white collar and important, you would think it would pay more just logically. I think a lot of white collar management jobs are gonna go away in the future anyway. I don't think a forward thinking company would bloat itself with tons of middle management jobs like modern corporations. The reason I chose engineering is because you can't replace engineers or lawyers or doctors, they're just necessary. Honestly most middle management jobs and even financial jobs aren't safe. They can easily be automated by AI software and financial jobs are dependent on the economy. A lot of Wall Street execs lost their jobs during the 08 depression, the engineers, lawyers, and doctors were just fine.

someone has been watching too much suits lmao :DD
2019-01-20 01:47
Suits is an emotional drama that has nothing to do with real law. Just the thought of a guy who didnt graduate getting employed by a top firm in NYC (the paradise for lawyers) makes me laugh
2019-01-20 01:53
Dude, the shit youre talking here is actually pathetic. You should seek help or something.
2019-01-20 01:58
Car mechanic from finnland calling everyone who makes over 40k pathetic

The two things everyone lies about are penis size and salary. This thread is pathetic. I make 55k € with a good degree working at a good company just 1 year out of uni. There are lawyers that make 3.8 M but they are in London or New York and have better things to do than bragging about it on hltv.org
2019-01-20 02:08

2019-01-20 14:25
you watched to much suits which is obviously fiction... just saying
2019-01-20 02:09
You live in a scandinavian country which all have good education yet you arent able to use 'to' and 'too' correctly. Tells me enough about your level of education and job.
2019-01-20 02:14
You're a summa cum laude lawyer, and yet you believe it is spelled ''summa con laude''. Everything you have said in this thread only proves how much of a poser you are, especially to someone like me.
2019-01-20 02:22
You are a little jealous nobody.
2019-01-20 02:23
You are projecting your own insecurities on me. You are speaking to an actual lawyer, you cannot win this engagement. You have drawn your sword against me as if I'm your enemy - I have never claimed to be your enemy. Very rarely does someone have the courage to sheathe their sword once its brandished. You are obviously very unhappy with how your life turned out to be. Sheathe your sword, and talk to me in earnest in private messages and I will endeavor to help you.
