The cost of living varies. 10$ here is decent for an individual.
2019-01-21 11:26
It’s actually a pretty good salary for small cities in Russia considering the real avarage monthly salary is 15000 rubles which is around 250$ (Even less actually)
2019-01-21 18:22
Being poor in America is not the same as being poor elsewhere. People eat blood and salt as soup.

no offense to people who live in those countries, but I would really hate my parents if they made me in a country like that

When 10$ converts to the local corrency it means a lot of money to live in which undeveloped country

the parents don't have to be rich in order to have an house... think about it if your parents parents had a house that ran down the family... or it was already semi paid by mortgage now you have a house registered it doesn't have to be about being rich... also this type of thinking is situational since for some people it is relevant and for some its not so its not dumb it might be dumb for you but not for others.

i would say my first job was a seller, i was selling clothes and many other things, seasonal and everyday use it was a weekend job, i've worked there since i was 15 until i was like 20 because it was actually pretty easy and nice, i got to talk to many people, most of them were 40-50 y/o alcoholics but still they were funny and i felt like a part of some culture i was making like 15-20$ for 8 hours of work but from time to time i was asked by an ukrainian woman for help, she was selling curtains there on saturdays and she would pay me 35$ for a day but it was painful sitting there with her watching her scam people because she didn't prepare the curtains properly and tried to trick people into paying more every time

My first job was working on a Textile Shop, like selling basic materials for dress, shrit, suit or else. I got paid for 2.000.000 Rupiah about 180$ a month or 5.5$ a day. Working 12 hours a day and my off day is only twice or 3times a month. There is commision for selling the goods on the shop. But still not easy thing to do. There are about 60 people working for them and the owner kinda make it hard for the workers to make commisions. The shop can acheived about 7.000$-10.000$ a day and 150.000$ a month depends on the market selling conditions.my boss is rich as hell and i dont know why they treat the workers kinda bad. I have ever reached about 6.000.000+ Rupiah on a month or 600$+- inculding my actual salary and my commisions. Which 2.000.000 (my salary)+4.000.000 (my commisions) which i was selling goods about 37.000$ +- . I got a pretty high salary at the time. Because i can learn about everything and understand each of the materials and price and including how to talk to the customer and apply the colors and the combinations or etc like cutting the materials with scrissors very fast about 2 days. Another people working for the first day about 1.200.000 or 100$ only. And if they can learn faster their commisions will start to count. Its pretty sad here in Indonesia. My dream is making my own bussiness and recruit some people with me and i wanna give them a decent salary and i just started that. I was working there about 2 years and honestly for me even i felt like slave i can enjoy my own money and i know how to be a better person with my self and to others people and also i can talk properly, its like im building my own personality.I can gave my family some money and i the rest i put them in the bank. 4 days ago is my first another step of my life because i can open my own textile bussiness.its not that big yet but with passions and believe everything can change. Im 22 years old kid. And i believe that there are so many stories from all of you here. Never give up
