IBP winner doesnt matter

This tournament is irrelevant Everyone just wanted to go home and it didnt show real level of teams. Major will be the real tournament where we will see the level of teams IBP masters = gaming paradise

Definitely a good win for Liquid, but lets be honest: iBP’s last tournament. No one is going to join the next.

Same with gaming paradise Kinguin won the tournament but nobody carred even themselves. Major will be the true 1st tournament of 2019. But sure prize money is good, i just dont think that this tournament shows real level of all teams that played tbh

Each astralis players earned like 600k dollars in 2018 while having a great salary on the side. 20k in prizemoney is nothing for top csgo teams. That said, liquid fully deserved their win.

I'm pretty sure it is less than their monthly salary or at least equivalent to it. EDIT: Also worth mentioning that they'd get 18k each, not 20k.

it's true but isnt 30k+20 better then 30k+6k? They did care about the tournament but Liquid seems better than Astralis rn. I think liquid can dominate now. /Fnatic fan/

What is 20k dollars to a millionaire? 20k dollars is not going to have any life changing effect on the player himself therefor it makes it irrelevant in this case as I don't think it had any impact on what the players thought. The players on top level only plays for the fame and achievements. The paycheck is already enormous.

3 years with like 1-10k salaries + 2 years with like 10-30k salaries I guess. 5 years of prizemoney. I'd think they've more than 1 million dollars

Most pros join an esports organization on another level when stopping. The plan for astralis specifically is that they have the option to join the rfrsh organization when they retire as pros

Anyways, that wasn't the point, ofc astralis would like to win more money but that is far far away from their main goal. And 20k prizemoney each is barely anything when you consider the amount of money they've already made and that it is maybe ranked like their 4th goal or something like that.

Sound is one of the most important things of cs. If you take that out you cant play proper competetive cs. Its something else. A shit show cs match.
2019-01-21 11:38
They had fixed the sound for the final. "It was pretty legit, we even got soundproof headsets. I'm not sure, but I heard Astralis got those or something, so shoutouts to them, that obviously helped a little bit so we could hear better." -NAF in interview about whether the final was legit or not.

"Astralis and Liquid both made it to the finals, which means they could play." In awful conditions yes. Have we seen them in good conditions against other teams? No. All we saw was one proper BO3 which astralis lost with device and dupreeh playing poorly (Once in a lifetime) "NAF who played the final said it was legit" Literally said only the final was legit can YOU read? If you only play one proper BO3 in a tournament how could said tournament be legit

yeah im a liquid fan, is that a problem here? a tournament having many issues doesnt make it irrelevant. every team had to deal width those issues. i guess i shouldnt even bother wasting my time, the fact that you think me being a liquid fan has anything to to with this.

the reason why im saying “liquid fan” is because you are biased. all this issues make the tournament less legit its not debatable. Same with gaming paradise, delays tech issues lower the level of cs. And even though it affected everyone you can still argue that we didnt see the best out of any team. Liquid played well but it doesnt change the fact that this tournament was really flawed

if it was on any other decent 250k tournament I would have accepted it, however, this one altered the usual gameplay of the teams and made them react differently which is why I can't take the win seriously (or even the players themselves)

I mean it just is considered one. It's not a confidence booster because this tournament was trash and they also know this even though they won. Because of the win they will struggle more in the next match against Astralis because Astralis will send them home.
