Well 5 years later and MH370 disappearence is still a mystery, even with all the advancements in technology regarding radar systems and air safety.

there's a difference between a small plane accident and a cross-government black op to make a plane disappear =D

They lowered their altitude to 700 meters and were undetectable for radars

Very sad story :(

97% - the plane crash landed in water. Him and the pilot either died in crash, or by immediate drowning. 2% - they survived the crash (was not a very high altitude), but died of hypothermia or drowning after a while. 1%< - they managed to survive somehow, and are still drifting. Or they got to shore, and had to sleep for a while.
2019-01-23 03:19
Nah that 1% scenario only happens in Castaway, most probably the plane disintegrated upon impact with the ocean (crashing at high speed), a situation where it is impossible to survive. Of course there is still hope that both the player and the pilot could still be alive but with no wreckage to be found after 24 hours I'm certain that only the worse can be expected. My condoleces to both and their families.

Fucking sad Everytime I hear these things my fear of flying just gets worse
2019-01-23 03:25
It was a really small plane dude, Emiliano told some friends that the plane already looked scary and had a pretty bad turbulence when he went to Nantes, he shouldn't go back in that shitty plane

if you fly with commercial airlines the chance of your plane crashing is lower than you getting killed by a shark when you live in a country with no direct ocean entrance. you hear about it in the news so often because there are just so many flights going on per day at some point mistakes are bound to happen, i'd rather fly than drive long distance nowadays.

Yeah driving out of town sucks too, especially in my country where traffic culture is awful. We're on top of Europe in number of accidents and fatal crashes. I get that planes are pretty safe and I would also prefer that to a road trip, but just thinking about that horrible death you may face makes me sick. When you are aware you will hit the ocean and die in a few seconds... :/ Trains ftw

There are more than 100.000 commercial (excludes private, military ++) flights per day. Commercial aviation accidents are veeery rare. In other words, commercial flying is probably statisticly safer than walking down the street to buy groceries. However, when shit goes "down", it goes down hard. I guess that's the fear people have.

Well there are strong currents, so he may be far away, and deep under water. They will probably find them though. The channel is not that deep.

I heard he recorded an audio telling his friend that the plane was in awful conditions, and if they didn't have news about him in about half a hour it's because something happened.

So weird that the pilot agreed to fly, if the plane is actually was in a bad condition. You save a lot of time flying from Nantes to Cardiff in a private jet, as I'm sure there are no direct routes (at least frequent), but I can't imagine they were in such a rush that they couldn't fly from a bigger french city to London etc.

Nothing makes sense.. 17 mil spent for this transfer and they used this small plane(Piper Malibu) with just a single engine to fly over the English Channel during heavy winter...

I just read that cardiff and nantes didn't have anything to do with the flight. He booked it himself.

Still it doesn't make sense, if you buy something so expensive, will you not be worry for its condition? Imagine that we aren't talking about a TV or a phone, this is a human, they shouldn't agree with that transport option
2019-01-23 17:53
I guess it's not easy as we think, it might could be have something in this case.
