so the players at this round will give themselves and all the other teams a rank from 1-16 for the opening matches. what do you think they will decide. i think it might be: 1.nrg 2.fnatic 3.c9 4. nip 5. ence 6. vitality 7. g2 8. renegades 9. avangar 10. tyloo 11. spirit 12. vega 13. winstrike 14. vici 15. furia 16. grayhound

If you're talking about seeding they will probably go off of esl's rankings.

nah according to this: hltv.org/news/25891/esl-announces-iem-ka.. teams will rank themselves for the first round. then they are given an ELO rating for the remaining matches instead of the bucholz system used at faceit

On Bet365 Vega have 4 odds to make the Main Major where Vici have 2.50 which is crazy so obviously maybe people rate Vici higher (not sure why)

yeah crazy eh! i saw that tonight when i was trying to decide how to make some bets. spirit was 6.0 but grayhound was only 3.5 whiich is crazy to me. i dont think grayhound is much different but they definitely arent THAT much better. spirit competes against some of the best top 20 teams in the world. grayhound plays mdl au.

I personally think Spirit are probably better than Grayhound, I feel like whoever did the Odds bases it off what Grayhound did a long time ago when they beat SK and the fact they always play Renegades close (because rng are obviously better than spirit) but like games where both teams are from the same country are always close IMO, them odds are ridiculously wrong, I think Spirit 6.00 is super value, I think it should be around 3

100% agree and that's why i already bet it haha! and yes that grayhound did beat sk but their best player of the series was grata! and like you said when teams are from the same region or previously played on the same team the matches can be a lot tighter than you might think...see this in sports too. g2 renegades and nip are the teams i think maybe are more likely than the other top 8 not to make it thru. im just trying to find some value on these yes/no markets at b365 right now

there is some slight value on Avangar to qualify too IMO, 2.2 just seems a bit too high, 2 id understand but they are definitely one of the better teams there lol and yes you are correct brother, great minds think alike etc

Power Ranking 1. ENCE 2. NRG 3. Fnatic 4. NIP 5. C9 6. Vitality 7. Avangar 8. G2 9. Renegades 10. Spirit 11. Winstrike 12. Furia 13. Vega 14. Tyloo 15. Grayhound 16. Vici but players probably rank fnatic or nip as 1st since they are more famous lul

so these are the rankings that you think those players will come to a general consensus on after the counting is done, or just who you think is best to worst?
2019-02-05 06:30
nope, this is my personal ranking, but pro players probably rank fnatic or nip as 1st

yeah i think you're right about both. your list is quite on point. i bet tyloo not to qualify today, but im curious what made you put them so far down?
2019-02-05 06:35
lineup changes, team chemistry, language barrier, dont forget they change their coach too
