How to make yourself practice more?
United States vib3s
I want to get better at CS by spending more time on aim_botz / dm. But I am an active type of person, so I can't just stare at the screen for 2 hours killing bots, it's too annoying for me. DM is better, but still. Any tips on how to motivate yourself to practice more? Thanx

stop playing cs and do something useful (baiting on hltv, jerking off)

Thank you very much for an actual content in your response, I will consider this option.

you want to get better without putting in any work?

+1 what an idiot 😎😎😎

Play with friends, it’s more fun.

I am talking about personal training. I'm already on a decent league team, but I also need to practice my aim alone.

Then I assume crosshair placement and aim isn’t the biggest issue. Try looking into positioning. Even though you solo queue, it does wonders for you and your team how you decide to play around them.

I am smart when it comes to understanding what to do on the map, what utility to use, as I have spent a lot of time on offline maps learning nades and finding setups on sites. But the only thing that prevents me from getting on higher level is raw aim.

Knowing your current level would help with suggesting methods that can improve you even more.

Yes force yourself to sth. you don´t enjoy! Great!

Hello Jonty_E. Sometimes you have to do something you don't like to achieve the desired result. If you like money, you should study something. If you like winning and shooting heads, you should practice aim. That's how everything works.

Im studying Law, I know about the struggle. But there is no way comparing a game to a University degree. CS is intended to be fun and to a struggle. You will never make anything off CS

dm doesnt give you anything at all except for tilt and aimbots is only good for warming up to actually improve i would suggest you playing pugs or praccs or if you dont want any pressure play retakes

Just watch your demos and figure it out like rounds where you die for free , or crucial rounds that lost you the maps ...

Listen to music while DMing / bots. Try and listen to something you like / can sing along to. Also, maybe put yourself vids in the background or podcasts, this way you're training aim and not getting totally bored. Also, watch vids from people like steel or Elmapuddy to learn and watch your demos/pro demos to learn from your mistakes and what they do

surf, duels, dm

It's the boring basics that make you good there is no reason to learn strats if you can't aim

I'm the other way around; I can sit and play DM for hours while listening to music, but I can't get myself to play one pug. I don't know what to do about it :/

motivation music :D

play 1v1 servers. 20 man FFA dm is a waste of time, spawn, shoot guy in the back, step forward, guy spawns behind you, shotos you in the back, repeat for an hour. aim botz also massive waste of time, you are only memorizing the bot spawn positions

there's people actually practicing cs out here in 2019 lmao

Why do people on here talk about cs like normal people talk about going to the gym
