I have this one, its a good monitor
2019-02-12 12:21
yes man i have it too
2019-02-12 12:24
maybe a good monitor itself but not good for csgo, would never recommend curved for any fps game unless it's a single player game.
2019-02-12 12:46
i respect your opinion but i dont think so
2019-02-12 12:47
is that monitor 1920x1080?
2019-02-12 12:49
yes
2019-02-12 12:53
Then I see no point having a curved monitor, you'd want a 21:9 monitor at least.
2019-02-12 13:23
then why would you buy it lol
2019-02-12 15:23
i have gtx 1060 so i cant play any games with 4k
2019-02-12 15:25
why do you buy curved monitor for gaming anyway

with 24" panel size it wont make a lot of difference imo
2019-02-12 13:09
that's kind of the thing, it's useless to have a curved monitor with a 24" 1920x1080, which makes it a stupid purchase.

This. It's very common, easy to set up color settings, because there are so many tutorials online.
2019-02-12 12:44
every monitor but AOC AOC is shit

How many AOC-s have you tested? A geniune question. Using myself AOC 144hz freesync monitor and it's pretty darn fine.
2019-02-12 12:32
maybe your right, but on my AOC g2460pqe apeared a line in the middle of monitor
2019-02-12 12:46
Why disregard the whole brand for one faulty model? My 144Hz AOC wasn't expensive is running well too.

Why not 240hz? believe me it makes a difference albeit a subtle one.
2019-02-12 12:29
You don't really need 240hz. The difference between 144hz and 240hz when you play CS is not that big at all

Its not very big in other games since they cant push 240fps or high for most of the time. But in cs if you have a semi decent rig, the difference is there.

I’m a main awper for my team and I can hold way tighter angles and hit shots on those angles more consistently since switching to 240hz. The difference is most definitely there but it’s a subtle one and mostly gives a small advantage in some specific situations. For CS:GO if you have a decent rig that gives you an average of 240+ fps I’d recommend 240hz over 144hz.

I run anywhere between 300 and 500fps consistently although I have a beefy setup so idk.

I have 240 and its much smoother than 144
2019-02-12 12:40
go for a curved monitor with VA matrix the colors are soo much better than shitty default TNs
2019-02-12 12:40
Ehh 24 inch not really the size for curved.. also curved monitors sometimes get uneven backlighting (the budget ones atleast) and it messes up the brightness/grayscale :()
2019-02-12 12:51
oh dude, about the size: i got 23.6" and cant really say i would enjoy a bigger one, also my brightness is way higher compared to my old TN and i can change it, so these for sure arent negative sides for me I only have this "uneven backlighting" problem but its only on full black pictures, so doesnt even matter on games The monitors name is VIEWSONIC VX2458-MHD, it was the cheapest one i found, but i really enjoy it
2019-02-12 13:10
Yeah from what i've seen they offer both the curved and non curved models, it even has freesync support so seems like a nice product :() but isnt that model a TN panel?
2019-02-12 15:09
hell no, its 100% VA, also i doubt VA exists as non curved versions, at least ive never seen one
