1000$ CSGO PC FOR LIL BROTHER - HELP
Sri Lanka KAZE1994
ASUS B450-M Motherboard Ryzen 5, 2600 Processor HyperX Predator 8GB 3200MHZ Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB SSD Nvidia GTX 1060 3 GB VGA Coolermaster 3.1 TG Casing Middle east prices, that's why 1000$ Please any tech guru can tell me this pc is well balanced parts wise ? No any bottleneck ? And I can spare some money to buy GTX 1060 6 GB instead of 3 GB if there is huge difference. This is for my brother, he only play CSGO same as me, he prefers AMD even though I'm an Intel guy. Can anyone tell CSGO 1080 all maxed setting how many average fps this pc will give under 3 GB VGA and 6 GB VGA ?
2019-02-14 18:30
i would get a rx 580 8gb or even the 4gb, is better than 1060
2019-02-14 18:32
you mean over 1060 6GB or 3 GB ?
2019-02-14 18:33
any of them
2019-02-14 18:34
its cheaper than 1060 and better, you know that 1060 3gb is downgraded compared to 6gb version

+1 I have same cpu as this build and rx 570 4gb which is really sick, I'm sure 580 would be quite a bit better even at 4gb
2019-02-14 18:37
my bro got inspired this pc by famous youtube video and he is telling this pc can get 200+ fps in 1080 maxed with rx 580 8GB version. But according to budget we had to do some tweaks. Anyway can I know how many fps you get in your pc in 1080 all maxed? thanks

I just queued for a quick valve DM on dust2, and was getting 150-250 depending on the spot. Pretty good actually and will probably be almost always 200+ in 5v5 assuming that's what you would want
2019-02-14 18:52
yea 5vs5 I was expecting. Anyway asked about 1080 settings just to know how powerful the setup is. My brother used to play with laptop 1280*720, so he will use a weird resolution . so he will get more fps imo xd

for cs go, 3gb is enough imo, for modern AAA titles definitely not.
2019-02-14 18:31
You have any idea what will be the fps in 1080 maxed?
2019-02-14 18:42
300 for sure, i have 4790 nonK which is an equivalent to 2600 and 1060 3gb with 12gb ram and i get 300avg fps on 1280x960

Buying a new pc who can't play new titles properly is just stupid in my opinion. Be a good big brother and sponsor him a bit.
2019-02-14 18:33
He goes under my foot path, we both not enjoy any other game rather than CS. Currently we play lobby, I'm from my new pc and he use my dell i5 laptop. We gonna dump laptop and buy him pc :)
2019-02-14 18:35
What do you mean with he goes under my foot path ? :D You don't enjoy any other games because your pc is too bad to really enjoy it most likely. I can assure you you will regret it when new titles come out and 2019 will be a year filled with insane titles.
2019-02-14 18:36
My current setup can run Fortnite,PUBG or whatever maxed 1080 90fps to 100 fps+ I just don't enjoy any other games like COD or whatever. For past 10 years + I play CS
2019-02-14 18:41
Yes I played cs since 1.5 but I'm not talking about shooters. I'm talking about single players and all that good stuff that is graphically amazing that is coming out.

Try to get a 1050ti 4gb instead of the 3gb 1060 at the bare minimum
2019-02-14 18:33
You mean 1050 ti 4GB better than 1060 3 GB? because where I live 1050ti 4GB cheaper than 1060 3 GB
2019-02-14 18:39
yep imo
2019-02-14 18:41
I hope this is not a bait cuz where I live 1060 3GB is 280 usd and 1050 ti 240 usd

2019-02-14 18:41
Intel Core i5-8400 Coffee Lake 6-Core 4.0 GHz 9MB this fits to our budget. It's better than AMD RYZEN 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz (3.9 GHz Max Boost) ?
2019-02-14 19:27
yeah better fps i5 8400
2019-02-14 21:54
i bought that last week and i get 300 fps with a 1060 6 gb all on medium

8GB RAM is outdated. Minimum today should be 16GB. Considering RAM isn't that expensive, you should upgrade to 16GB first of all.

300 fps bro :) i think
2019-02-18 17:24
do not buy 1060 3gb. With latest drivers even rx570 gets better performance.
2019-02-14 18:54
why lot of guys suggesting me rx versions over nvidia gt 1060 ? Cuz 1060 sucks or cuz this setup is bassed on amd ?
2019-02-14 18:56
cuz rx with new drivers is better right now and cheaper
2019-02-14 18:58
if you are under a tight budget which 1 will you chose from here ? citycenter.jo/product/search?search=rx%2.. *I can't buy 8GB one)
2019-02-14 19:00
dont matter, get the cheaper
2019-02-14 19:06
when rx and gtx both released gtx 1060 was matched with rx 580, 1060 was better in some games, rx 580 was better in some. But rn with the latest drivers even rx 570 is getting better fps than gtx 1060. And 1060 3gb was never good option. If you are nvidia fan i would say you should atleast go for 6gb version. But if i were you i would buy rx 580 8gb if not rx 570 8gb. Currently Rtx 2060>>rx 590>rx 580>rx 570 8gb=gtx 1060 6gb>rx 570 4gb=gtx 1060 3gb

cpu before gpu so go for intel
2019-02-14 19:14
I guess according to our budget we should stay intel i5 series. if so what will be the best option considering budget ?
2019-02-14 19:23
Intel Core i5-8400 Coffee Lake 6-Core 4.0 GHz 9MB this fits to our budget. It's better than AMD RYZEN 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz (3.9 GHz Max Boost) ?

Id go for 8600k if possible. Ram speed isnt really too big of a factor when building a system with an intel cpu so Id go for some cheaper ram. I'd also aim for a used gpu, for example a gtx 980 (it is still quite powerfull and more than enough for playing cs, its somewhere between 1060 and 1070) and should be quite cheap (I bought one a year ago for 200€).

Also even if you went with 8400 rather than 2600, you would need to overclock 2600 to near 4 gHz to get to level of 8400 atleast in csgo, tho the fps difference is not huge anyways.

i dont udnerstand ryzen but that intel cpu is a little bit better then mine and mine is great so you cant go wrong with it
2019-02-14 19:29
i have 300 fps with a R5 2600@4.15Ghz and 3200Mhz ram @ low 1050pBB. Ive keep fps max 300 cause it make frame rendering time very stable. (it goes 150-400 on d2 with, i didnt check frame time but i asume that this deep comes from inconstant frame time) So with an oc an good ram its enougth for cs. I dont recommend ryzen with stock clock speed/slow ram for gaming.

This cpu is so huge for this gpu. You do not need it at all. Just change for a i5 8400 / ryzen 5 1600, 8 gb ddr4, above b350 mb or anything different of h110 (for intel), gtx 1060 6gb (zotac) a 120gb ssd and a 500gb/1tb hdd for this setup you need a 500w power supply 80 plus. Gl + 300fps
2019-02-14 19:53
For CSGO You need the best CPU Possible.
2019-02-14 19:56
You are sure about it, but w/ the setup i described you can bring 300 fps + for your game. He has $ 1000 to spend, so, if there is money left, they can invest on a better cpu
2019-02-14 20:03
For 1000$ In my country OOF Would be sick PC tbh 1080 (USED)..1080 Used are like 300-350$ Ryzen 7 New 200$..
2019-02-14 20:04
Cool bro, w/ this prices you do a monster computer w/ $ 1000. When you come to my country do not forget to bring me a computer hahaha here this itens cost to much. Good idea go for a used computer, my whole computer is made of used parts.
2019-02-14 20:10
I mean im student im kinda poor i have gtx 1060 3gb used new ryzen 3 1200 + new mobo used 8gb ram and used psu and some shitty case from 1990 I mean for 350$ I cant complain
2019-02-14 20:59
Go for Ryzen 7

Thanks everyone for the help. I just finished building the pc. Will upload some pics and update about fps in csgo. Here's what we build and it cost 986 USD in total since everything purchased inside middle east (Jordan) Processor Intel Core i5-8400 Coffee Lake 6-Core 4.0 GHz 9MB Cooling Intel STD Air Cooler Motherboard Asus PRIME B360M-K Intel B360 DDR4 Motherboard Memory HyperX FURY 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz Desktop Graphic Card MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GB GDDR5 Sound Card Integrated Sound Card Case Cooler Master P500 RED LED EDITION 2 x Cooling Fans Power Supply Cooler Master MWE 500W Power Supply Hard Drive 1TB HDD 7200RPM Seagate Barricuda Will put another 8 GB ram and SSD as soon as save some extra bucks since our budget was 1000$ when building the rig :)
2019-02-18 16:08
I'd prefer your ryzen 5 2600 pick, for future proofing. Far Cry 5 have frametime stutters on 6 threaded cpus, that still persists on 8 core i7-9700k. Haven't seen frametime benchmarks for more games on that, but that alone convinces me that it's worth it to go with CPU with more than 6 threads. youtube.com/watch?v=F92byoMgptU That mobo seems crap to me. I suggest MSI B360M MORTAR/bazooka for non-k intel chip. Why integrated sound card? If you need higher quality sound, you can just pick better motherboard. MSI B360M MORTAR seems to have very good onboard audio.
2019-02-18 16:23
