yes they teach me about the favelas, I'm not even kidding
No? Lmao why would anyone want to teach kids in school about brazil lmao. There are more important topics😎
no but I study it on HLTV
only about favela @ geography
Ye a bit but nothing special it was more about portugal/brazil and why u choose Portuguese instead ofspanish
never even heard about Brazil...tell me something famous what happened there
no, but your favelas were mentioned on geography lesson(not kidding)
no but about favelas a little bit
Only "Portugese Colonization"
Only about Portugal or Spain and their colonies in South America.
like 5 years ago i had lesson about different living areas, favelas were included
Nothing in basic school, a bit in High School, i bit in College.
Some about Rain Forest, Amason River and native peoples in Nature Class - not much
Some about Coffee and Slavery in History. In newer history about the growing economy and Brazil being a BRICK-country - not much
Some about Favellas, poverty and corruption in Social Studies - at the time of Brazil hosting big sports events. Saw the film Tropa de Elite.
Mostly the bad things really
The News are about the same bad things: Destroying Rain Forest, Favellas, Corruption ... and most recently about the new populist, sexist Trump-wannabe President.
But not a lot, considering the size and population. Education here is very Eurocentric + a bit about USA, China, South Africa, Middle East and Japan
nope, only that it used to belong to portugal
i learned in school that we won 7:1 so idk thats it i guess
Actually Nothing. Only European history, some Chinese and a little bit of North American.
about the favelas in english class
I had to write an essay about how we could improve favelas in geography but thats it
i was taught that Chiquita Banana is actually not from brazil but i duno if that counts.
No. But important wars from Europe, Middle East and Asia is in curriculum.
Yes. Just a little tho, Coffee Exporter.
Yeah. I don't remember nothing tho
About Portuguese colonization ye
history classes? No.I have learned all by myself about Brazil.Like TV at first then internet.I know for example that you have people from Japan-refugees from ww2,also italians and germans.I know you have a lot of regions-some of them want autonomy like the southern states.Portugal colonized Brazil-also brought lots of slaves from Africa to Brazil.Your capital has form of bird or plane/not sure/.You had a flag close to the USA flag but then you have replaced it with the planet.Lots of coffee plantations. Now you have gripen jetfighters.Dilma Rusev was your president-she is half Bulgarian. The beaches, dance fests, beautiful women, favela ghetos, lots of crime rate-foreigners kidnaped, robbed, one of the worst traffic jams in the world in your capital.Lots of brazil football players Pele,Ronaldo,Ronaldinho,Rivaldo etc.I have learned one Brasil saying that you joke like its an inner brazilian joke-you say"Brazil will be rich when statue of Jesus Christ start clapping" :D.Also i know that Brazil internet is very slow and very expensive at the same time :/
Yes a lot of urban design and planification stuff in geography class (construction of Brazilia, land usage, etc ...)
In history we just saw stuff about the dictatorship
only ancient time and Europe
Only thing i remember was briefly talking about Favelas when our social studies teacher was talking about slums (might've been geography class, dont remember) and the same teacher showing us "city of god".
Great movie btw
