Venezuela and oil
FalleN |
Other Catothegreat
I keep hearing people say USA only opposes Venezuela because they’re desperate to invade it for their oil. But I don’t understand why the biggest oil producer in the world would want to go through all the trouble of invading Venezuela ‘just for their oil’. Am I missing something?

Thats a very innocent way to look at the world lmao
2019-02-17 14:38
‘Innocent’? Invading a country and waging war against them costs money. So why would USA do that in other to get something they already have more than plentiful of (oil)?

China talking about mass murders ?
2019-02-17 15:03
oh you mean the people that live under a dictatorship and have no choice? yes great comparison to the whites that freely sign up to become mass murderers and feed their bloodthirst

Oh so now nobody has responsibility because they have a boss? What kind of slave mentality is that.
2019-02-17 15:32
I literally only pointed out the nuance of being forced to do something vs freely going out of your way to mass murder people across the world to feed your bloodthirst
2019-02-17 15:47
It must be, because I still come to this site and expect a rational discussion

im too lazy to link trustable fonts for you but keep 3 things in your mind 1. USA history is based on wars. thats why theyre so rich and why they keep themselves at the top 2. venezuela is the largest reserve of oil on the earth 3. if venezuela develops itself technologically that means they would be able to explore their reserve properly. which means that they would compete on market and, since venezuelas is poorer, they would sell its oil for cheaper to those who are interested in buying oil

Here's the trick. The war cost is supported by American tax payers but the oil profits will go directly into the pockets of private companies owners.
2019-02-18 10:38
the largest producer will seek to further monopolise the market, no? it's not "just some oil", venesuela is the largest oil reserve on the planet.

you are missing a lot-Russian+Chinese influence in Venezuela.USA don't want a Russian+Chinese influence at its back yard but Russia and China does it to show they can do the same as USA does in Europe and Asia-close to Russia and China.
2019-02-17 14:52
why did they illegally attack Libya? just cuz they disliked Gaddafi and because they had created the opportunity. did they get anything out of it? nothing except regime change. they attack their enemies BECAUSE THEY CAN. if there is oil at the end of it that is just a bonus. Venezuela is a way more attractive target then Libya. The imperialist mentality of America has a logic of it's own. If it made sense the last 20 years would not have occurred. Since it achieved no foreign policy objectives other than replacing some unfriendly regimes. Who wouldn't rethink Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Ukraine, Syria, etc if they could turn back time? Only John Bolton probably.
2019-02-17 15:04
No they attacked them because they threatened the petrodollar by trying to sell their oil reserves for gold/euros and thus escaping the dollar hegemony. No hegemony = no more importing shit for promises of more printed "money" and no power of sanctioning. Being the issuer of the reserve currency of the world is what is at stake here.
2019-02-17 15:08
that is true, but few (((MSM))) outlets reported that. they reported Benghazi. so the main narrative is that we went to war and destroyed a country... just to save one city. ofc none of it makes sense. what i am saying is to ask why it makes sense is a pointless question. it doesn't even have to have a sensible reason. (((USA))) just do whatever they want and people barely notice. they will make smth up to cover up their real hegemonic motivations. just like how Iraq turned from finding WMDs to "bringing democracy". power is the end in itself, not the means to an end.
2019-02-17 15:24
They do notice. People resent Americans, "capitalism", individual responsibility and other things associated with the American way of life because of the American Government foreign policy of making the world "safe for democracy". The Fed-backed American state tarnishes the good things and values that made America great before 1913 and the overthrown of the last remains of the constitution by the bankster cabal.
2019-02-17 15:27
no they don't notice. people are dumb as shit. they care more about gay marriage, supreme court nominations and game of thrones. the globalists are right. people do have goldfish memories. how else could they keep fucking up countries after iraq and afghanistan?

Barely enough. We cant do shit apart from protect our own home island (which is still vulnerable). We don't have enough amphibious capabilities to make any meaningful landing or support and completely rely on the US navy to project our interests in the world as well as the support from their air force. The only thing we really have is good technology and cyber capabilities

We have something like a "cold war" going on right now, many people see things shallowly, but behind all the nonsense the media says about Trump, he's in a fight for US interests far bigger than it looks. Russia is mainly China are walking dangerously far...

Venezuela has the largest oil reserves... Plus, Venezuela would become the most developed country in Latin America if USA wouldn’t prevent them, and, USA doesn’t want anyone not under their influence to develop, especially not in their backyard. Actually, even if you are under their influence, they won’t let you develop that much, so that they can keep you under constant control.

Have you forgot Iraq? I recommend you watch the movie "The Vice".
2019-02-17 15:29
Different decade, that was before shale oil boom
2019-02-17 17:04
It's not just about oil, they are allies of the US enemies and currently trafficking drugs and weapons. In addition to being geographically positioned to put pressure on the US, does anyone remember the pressure of the missiles in Cuba? In addition to that a communist government won the elections in Mexico which puts even more pressure in the United States. The real US battle is against China and Russia.
