Who do you think will get top 8? I think Astralis, Liquid, NRG, FaZe, MIBR, ENCE, Renegades, and BIG will.

Cloud9 went 3-2 against tier 3 teams (or lower). I don't think they are good enough to make it into playoffs.
2019-02-17 22:38
they lost 2 best of ones against teams that couldnt win a bo3, c9 redeemed themselves after winning 2 bo3's to qualify
2019-02-17 22:42
as well they beat faze and big, i think they have a chance

I don't think NaVi will make it. They couldn't beat North at the GG.BET tournament and it was clear in the Zeus interview that there are problems in the team.

its major man . They didnt care that much gg.bet tbh
2019-02-17 22:37
That's true. The fact that Zeus said they aren't preparing extra for the major in his interview worries me too much to justify having them in top 8 though. It could still happen but I doubt it.

Just random tournament navi still a top5 team and with s1mple they’ll reach in top8

Cloud9 barely made it out playing against tier 3 teams. At least Renegades and BIG have shown some decent form lately.

Renegades best opponent they played was NiP in a BO1, who has big played that shows they are in good form? Didn't C9 2-0 them?? C9 also lost their two in BO1's that favored the Chinese teams on their map pick, they shouldn't have lost, but they even said they didn't play like they normally would, and it showed by winning two BO3's
2019-02-17 22:42
Renegades played 3 pretty good teams and beat all of them pretty convincingly (AVANGAR, NiP, ENCE in bo3). BIG is more of a gut feeling because I think XANTARES will carry them to the top 8. They beat Hellraisers and G2 online recently but that doesn't tell us too much. Also, Cloud9 is in decent enough form but I don't think they are good enough to get through this stage. Heck, I think G2 has a better chance than C9 to get playoffs but I guess we will have to see who's right by how the teams perform.

LOL you had a good argument until you said G2 will have a better shot than C9 Reasons why I say what I say. Teams like Big, Renegades, and ENCE are going to most likely play teams such as anyone in the Top 5, that immediately makes their road much harder for them and I feel like they aren't proven yet. C9 on the other hand will most likely be middle of the pack and will play teams most likely a little below their skill level. TBH we won't know until we see the rankings and matchups, teams in the middle that have calibre to be in the Top 10-5 have a much better chance then teams in the top 15-20 if you know what I mean

I agree. Only these teams can win the major I'd say (mibr will need a bit of luck).

liquid is looking too strong with stewie, imo they are the favorite but i believe in a little choke against astralis so the only way to mibr win is: semifinal 1: astralis x liquid semifinal 2: mibr x ? then cheer for astralis, so they will need the luck that they didnt have in 2018)
2019-02-17 22:54
Liquid looked strong at iBUYPOWER Masters but I still think Astralis is favored. Counting Astralis out just doesn't make much sense at this point because they are still capable of just 2-0ing everyone. They might have a slow start but in the end, the best team will win.

Is that next stage like the last one? (I mean, will be bo1 until the team gets 2 wins and then it becomes bo3 for the next maps of this team)
2019-02-17 22:55
I'm pretty sure.

There's genuinely only a couple of teams I think definitely won't make top 8, Avangar and Complexity. Also don't fancy renegades chances or Cloud9s And only a few that I feel almost certainly will - Astralis, Liquid, FaZe, MiBR. After that probably BIG, ENCE and Na'vi for me. And maybe NRG or even Vitality, seriously.
