Can you imagine? 6 thousand years ago-long before the egyptians, roman empire, persian empire, greek states, chinese the Sumerians are the oldest civilization in human history.I wonder if summer comes from the word sumerian? What do you think? Is this season named after the sumerian civilization?

have you heard of Göbekli Tepe located in your country borders? Its 12 thousand years old-6 thousand years older than Stonehenge.
2019-02-19 08:59
the consensus here is göbekli tepe is older than the sumerians time and we still dont know who is responsible for it. i saw some persians, kurds claiming them as their ancestors actually due to indo europeans considering themselves to be descended from mespotamia. they look like they were settlers and not nomads due to some discoveries related to hunting, housing etc. . and thats the extent of my knowledge.

80,000? I don't know if it's that long because what I googled just a minute ago I found that. The history of Peru spans 4 millennia, extending back through several stages of cultural development in the mountain region and the lakes. The History of Ecuador extends over an 8,000-year period. The territory of Chile has been populated since at least 3000 BC. Colombia has an even longer history.
2019-02-19 11:26
Africa is populated by humans since 1 millions years.

You seem not distinguishing tribe and civilization. As nouns the difference between civilization and tribe is that civilization is an organized culture encompassing many communities, often on the scale of a nation or a people; a stage or system of social, political or technical development while tribe is a socially, ethnically, and politically cohesive group of people.

No there is evidence that vikings have existed since 1 million bc When Denmark was covered in ice during the ice ages they would have disco parties under the ice where they had a huge civilization. Have you even watched the documentary called "Ice Age"? There was land under the ice layer and they lived there

if it was hydroelectric power plant would't be likely to be build right on top of the river-this theory doesn't feel right to me.

And of course you got no proofs of that. Another question: Was Noah real?
2019-02-19 13:34
You do actually... Baghdad battery made by Sumerians could produce electricity so you are wrong
2019-02-19 13:57
Making electricity is one thing, actually USING it is another. I'm not denying that they were able to make electricity. But as the guy says, they used it to build pyramids.

“Summer” came from the Old English name for that time of year, sumor. This, in turn, came from the Proto-Germanic sumur-, which itself came from the Proto-Indo-European root sam- (sam- seems to be a variant of the Proto-Indo-European sem-, meaning “together / one") sumur in sumerian means fierceness, be enraged (against someone),fierce; furious; stubborn. So there you go: a theory that actually summer name origin could be from sumerian

with the latest technologies for example satellite scan no wonder so many new archaeological sites are found. As well as underwater archaeology sites.I wouldnt be surprised if one day they discover a new civilization archaeological site buried underwater-i mean two-thirds of the Earth's surface is covered with water.

yes because underwater archaeology is very expensive. Its much cheaper to pay for a satellite scan than send a submarine exploration team/which also have underwater scanning system but the whole process of excavation is quite slow and that is why it cost alot of money/

Check out eye of Sahara it is new theory that says it is atlantis there. Also some old maps show atlantis in that region. Fun thing happen with new lazer scanner

One of the most advanced civilization ever to exist on earth. We use so many things created by Sumerian culture. How we measure time, wheel, math, astronomy, beer and so on half of the tablets that show their history has been stolen by usa when robed museum in Iraq. They dont translate texts coz they show are history is not what they showed us in schools. There is no reference for sumerians in school shame schooling system
2019-02-19 13:48
So.. either we are not advanced because we use old shit invented by them.. or, they are not advanced and we barely advanced since then. Which is it ?

2019-02-20 05:27
They have a +50% firing rate of their stone-throwers/catapults. Their villagers have +15hp, crucial for early game tower rush tactics if you ask me. Farms have +125 food by default, making their wood to food ratio very great without researches for sure. Man I loved Age of Empires, though it's not the best civilisation, it's definitely in top10 'cus they're so effective at early game tactics, and the catapult firing rate really is their ace up the sleeve in case that doesn't succeed. If you know anything else, please let me know.
