Oh dude, Ancient Methods is _amazing_. Saw them live about a year ago, industrial strength indeed!! Dude just did a new seminal mixtape for Resident Advisor was it now...can’t remember but, you’ll find it if you look for it.

Here’s some recent suggestions to look for: VSK, Vertical Spectrum, Mike Parker, Deepbass, Tensal, Lewis Fautzi, Oscar Mulero, Cleric, Acronym, Pris, Artefakt, Luigi Tozzi, David Meiser, Svreca, Rrose, Lucy, Ness, Edit Select, Function, Speedy J I could go on but these names and groups have lately been an inspiration personally. Mostly straightforward, ass-kicking, some dark, techno here, with some names sprinkled that go more for a deep, progressive sound.

2019-02-20 11:34
it is TECHNO my dude :)
2019-02-20 14:18
I guess I shouldn't even have come here but here I am. I have a lot of questions for techno style, first of all, it's electronic, instant downgrade and look down upon. I'll be quiet on the rest, I'm not picking up haters coast to coast.
2019-02-20 11:04
Electronic > Organic, sorry . It's 2019 not 1323 .. Organic music is outdated and boring, always the same stuff.
2019-02-20 11:07
Your opinion doesn't mean a thing to me. You've never heard more than two songs of acoustic origin to have a saying in this. Electronic music is a degradation for humanity, and the current pop scene is the best proof of it I could ever find.
2019-02-20 11:08
Sorry we don't seem to be in the same level musically, dig deeper pleb. good bye :)
2019-02-20 11:11
Exactly, you'd have to spend another decade to have a clue on this subject. Keep being a submissive sheep you are.
2019-02-20 11:34
youtube.com/watch?v=OSRCemf2JHc this is 69, first electronic song to make it to the charts, it's been half a century what the fuck are you talking about? wait a decade for what? are you sure i'm the one that has no clue? lmao
2019-02-20 12:09
"good bye", keep your words if you want to sound valid, firstly. And what you wanna say by that? It could have been a century ago and I would still be right. The first time appearing on charts is not being the mainstream and generally popular, secondly. You're not picking up quickly, I see.
2019-02-20 12:23
"It could have been a century ago and I would still be right." what makes you think you're right? you're not.. who's talking about mainstream? only clueless idiots judge music for how mainstream it is or it isn't lol..
2019-02-20 12:37
You don't get me, do you? Your song you provided doesn't prove anything and I told you the reasoning of it. Instead of comprehending that while reading you hurry up to reply to me even though you still have the wind blowing in your head. Both first and the second points I've made describe you very well. You don't keep your words and you don't understand a thing in music.
2019-02-20 12:39
oh yea? you say that "Clubs of today don't have enough space for a good music band. Nor even a solo performer." are you sure of that? i'm pretty sure you have no clue what you're talking about. maybe you live in a village lol, how many artists are you going to watch this weekend? i'm pretty sure this weekend i will watch more artists than you'll do until the end of the year lol
2019-02-20 12:42
There's no one worth watching nowadays. I'd pay a visit to those who're still alive but I don't have enough funds to get there and I guess I need to put myself up instead of going to concerts and wasting my time there. I do music myself, not just listening. It matters a lot to me and I wouldn't shake the air in vain. On the timeline, electronic stands no chance.
2019-02-20 12:43
oh yea, i was already guessing that, you're not even a little bit of a cliché, ain't you? lol
2019-02-20 12:49
What's so stereotypic you would stand out out of this? I'd rather focus on your inability to comprehend what I'm saying, this can give you much more in the long run.
2019-02-20 12:51
as i told you before, we are not on the same level musically :) no need to give me advice mr musician :)
2019-02-20 13:09
I got that long ago. You're not a high quality collocutor either. I guess you must do me a favor and set me free from this pointless discussion. Good luck in exploration.
2019-02-20 13:11
Greg Haines - 183 Times is a recent favorite. I see no reason to make a distinction between styles. Whatever fits your current mood, or however you wanna feel, there’s a track or a composition for every moment. Have a listen and get back to me if you felt anything.
2019-02-20 11:16
I don't feel like it right now. But I'd like to have a discussion with you later on. You seem like a reasonably and adequate guy to me now.
2019-02-20 11:34
You might change your mind if you go to a proper club/venue with good sound system and acoustics.
2019-02-20 11:09
Clubs of today don't have enough space for a good music band. Nor even a solo performer. Electronic music is not the way.

What about electronic sports? :)
2019-02-20 11:13
All the same, just a different industry.
2019-02-20 11:33
he has no idea what he's talking about, not a lot of music knowledge, would bet he listens to metal
2019-02-20 11:25
Exactly the opposite. Listening to electronic music is not knowing anything about music at all. Very clear evidence in your appearance.
2019-02-20 11:33
You are very narrowminded, but don't worry, so is narcas, you two lovebirds can publicly show your stupidity for the rest of us to silently laugh at. Commenting on the two of you is a waste anyway, but deep down inside I feel bad for you guys, so I thought I should let you know. Peace! ♥
2019-02-20 12:00
Made no sense at all, I didn't even wink an eye at this wannabe stay-aside kind of point of view. Stay there and remain submussive to the end of time.
2019-02-20 12:21
There is definitely -something- eating your ass, as you're projecting all kinds of irrelevant shit into your arguments, yet you fail to see how there could be a bigger picture; being able to like both types of music. Or just simply respecting another's taste in music, but no, you feel the need to shit on everything that's not up your alley because you think you're some kind of demigod standing above all others. Amazing! I sure hope you'll find the error of your ways one day, as you're probably, and hopefully, not at all like the persona you portray on the internet; being a cunt that is. Anyway, best of luck with whatever weird endeavors you are on about.
2019-02-20 14:05
Oh, how much you've written. I won't read that. You sound funny but I don't care now. I didn't talk to you so you can be free out of my way.

2019-02-20 13:13

2019-02-20 14:06
still dreaming about your career? lmao, lil failed singer
2019-02-20 14:06
Dreams are made of this, hope will keep me together. With your mentality I would give up before even trying. Rather be like me than being a failure from the start.
2019-02-20 14:07
You're a failure mate, you're what, 25? Time is over.
2019-02-20 14:08
It's never over and I'm not 25. Your tongue wag doesn't have any effect nor really intrigues me to continue this. You never replied when you had to, talked behind my back and ignored me. Such a mannish thing to do. So go away now. You're a blank spot to me in all seriousness.
2019-02-20 14:09
You have nothing worthy to say, why would I talk with you? To have a discussion about a nonexistent things like "soul"? lmao
2019-02-20 14:10
Now your inner child awoke. Your replies put you out of disguise. Be lucky you have a lot of time unlike me, such a kid has a great future ahead of him.
2019-02-20 14:11
You just proved me right, you're nothing but ad hominems, zero content. "has a great future ahead of him." mate you're a nobody, do you have an album in the making? Did you sign up for a label? what future? get real

Techno is more dark with more kick and bass stuff. Progressive is more melodic.
2019-02-20 16:31
so far the techno songs on this thread have been more dark for sure, and they feel a bit more simple to what i'm used to dance to... guess i don't listen to techno then

Yep. There is more dark people and more melodic people. For example this is trance, the first genre of electronic. youtu.be/gZEEFJ-l7dc?t=56
