Two brothers are out fishing. One brother says to the other one: "If I get a fish from you, then I'll have the same amount of fish ash you, but if you get one from me, you'll have twice as much as me"
How many fish each do they have?

The first one to get it right will get a +1 from my collection. Cheers.

5 and 7

waiting for my +1

-1 haha nice edit. You weren't first ok?

-1 Nice edit

lmfao. You said 5-3 xD

yes duahsdauhs xd

lmao nice edit xd

7 and 5?

+1
Well played.

Thanks, it was easy math mate.

Technically it's 5 and 7 because you would refer first to the brother talking in the first person.

Technically it does not matter, as it is completely the right answer both ways around.

5 and 7 respectively

I only added "respectively" in my edit.

I was first anyways.

But you didn't mentio who has how many fishes. First one has 5 and second one has 7, which is reversed in your answer.
Nvm you're first, gratz.

Doesn't matter, everyone knew what i meant lol

Yeah correct.

2 and 27😎

smart😎

thanks booboo😎

at least 12

that's not a riddle you just want us to help you with your grade 1 math homework

seven bundred

For all you HLTV dunces who don't know why it's 5 and 7.
x=first brother
y=second brother
"If I get a fish from you, then I'll have the same amount of fish ash you"=x+1=y-1
"if you get one from me, you'll have twice as much as me"=y+1=2(x-1)=2x-2
y=2x-3
Substitue to get x+1=2x-3-1 which equals x=5, and plugging it in gets y=7

ok post the exact same thing but use emojis as the variables, thanks

Next time I will

x+1=y-1
y+1=2(x-1)
so x=5 and y=7

n1

n

5 and 7

n>m
n-1 = m+1
n+1 = 2(m-1)
n = m+2
n = 2m-3
m+2 = 2m-3
m = 5
n =m+2 = 5+2 = 7

no one wanted big maths s1mple :angry emoji: 😎
