H1-B Visas

The technology sector in the US is world class and colleges don't produce enough engineers and programmers to meet the demand. Despite this there's still a sizable unemployment rate for engineers and programmers. Companies hire H1-B's because they can pay them less and they're forced to accept bad treatment because if they get fired they're sent back to their home country. Do companies really expect people to work their asses off for degrees in highly specialized STEM fields just to compete with some guy who'll take 15 bucks an hour to do the same thing?

And what are you trying to say
2019-02-22 06:35
It's pretty obvious, US STEM workers can't compete with H1-B visas. It's in the last line.

You said it as a question, so not very clear
2019-02-22 06:37
It's a rhetorical question man.

you get paid for your worth
2019-02-22 06:39
Do people really think this? Tons of people are overpaid because they work for their dad's company or they have connections.

your putting out things that you want to say, but at the same time you are baiting. You can bait better. I'm a pro baiter.

lmao ok
2019-02-22 06:49
Idk, should we tell him we don't care?
2019-02-22 06:36
You're not even American, why do I care about your opinion on this? It's a US issue.

Oh yeah there are plenty of entry level STEM jobs, they're just all being taken by H1-B visas. Which is why the only people who get multiple offers from companies are people who have a Phd with 15 years of experience, plus they specialize in artificial intelligence or they're a data analyst.

>Highly specialized STEM job >15 bucks an hour Choose one.
2019-02-22 06:39
All this comment told me was you have no idea what I'm talking about. Do you even know what a H1-B visa is?

I wasn't expecting much, but I was expecting better than this... No one even seems to know what a H1-B is, but they're pretending like they do and keep arguing with me.

reddit would actually have people with the knowledge you seek if you asked a caveman what the square root of four was the only thing you’d get in return is a fractured skull

I used to post shit like this all the time 2 years ago and people would actually have intelligent responses. Posting anything on Reddit that's an actual opinion is a downvote magnet.
