I was going to comment something very rude here but realized you just dont know. Do you know how much is required in good level communication at professional level? Its not just calling spots. Obviously TACO should know english already better than I do, hes getting paid tons and tons for playing this game and he has been living in USA for long time, even before Liquid.

Theres a difference between understanding English and all the conversations and gameplans your IGL is doing for you and then learning the English callouts when you also play in NA Fpl than it is to actually speak the language and give full on, grammatically correct and fluent interviews.

In all fairness, he would need to do teambuilding surely and become more friendly with team-mates so hes more comfortable calling in game.

well "english" is too general in a way you use it, you develop speech recognition and verbalization separately, its possible to comprehend a text you read, but at the same time not recognize its oral version, same with verbalization of your thoughts, your passive vocabulary might be close to that of the native speakers(around 30k words) but if you never transfer it to usage you wont progress(active vocabulary is 4k average) but to progress certain ceilings have to be broken, certain language efficiency level has to be achieved(reading/speech comprehension and speaking skills combined) before entering a native speaker environment, otherwise progress will be close to none or nonexistent at all

I don't understand these jokes about bad english. Most native english speakers can't say a single word in any other language. Get over yourselves.

He has recently gone from always talking English to go back to portuguese. It is probably just a temporary reset. His English has been great for a long time, even before leaving SK
