[*] RIP Lebron James
 |
Belgium KevinGatesYo
He’s now just making some good money on LA because he’s gonna retire soon, he moved to the Lakers because he doesn’t care about winning anymore. This season is already over LAL won’t make it to the playoffs, and he’s old now, next season will be even worse, it’s his downfall. His move to LA is the same as some good soccer players who move from Europe to China to make good cash before retiring, they are in just for the money, Lebron isn’t hungry anymore, he doesn’t care.

I have found the person who started watching basketball in 2013 Kobe dropped 40 points in NINE (9) straight games. He did this on an average shooting percentage of 49% (with a blistering 47% 3PT%). He also won 7/9 of those games. Plus he was a winner. If I was choosing a team for an all-time tournament, Kobe would be my first pick because he never ever ever backed down from a fight. It's the intangibles that set him apart from about 75% of your list.

hakeem schooled shaq in the finals kobe couldnt get to the finals without any help compare hakeems stats to kobes hakeem way better in every category delusional kobe fanboys
2019-02-26 17:05
watched basketball since early 2000s kobe was never the best player even in the league at any point theres your goat getting carried to 3 chips by shaq. This is the typical kobe fan argument pointing out good games but forgets to talk about all the help he had and that his only a scorer nothing else. Whats the difference between kd and kobe? kd way better all around player.

1) Lebron is the GOAT, not Kobe. It's not even close. 2) The difference between KD and Kobe is that when Kobe had an all-star teammate, he could win titles. KD had to join 3 (now 4) all-stars to win a chip
2019-02-26 21:30
He is not my first pick, so how did I fan boy him? He was a gun player. Not the GOAT, MJ is still the GOAT.

Just like I answered below, they had the chance to steal game 1 at the warriors home... everything could've gone different from that... and you can't say it was impossible because they did reverse sweep the warriors in 2016... anyway my point was just that lebron tried too hard last year and probably isnt doing that again. /enddiscussion

In 2016 Lebron had Kyrie and Love was on fire though
2019-02-26 12:27
That reverse sweep was wild. I don’t see that happening with Kd but like you said that’s all hypotheticals. I don’t think Bron is done trying though I bet he plays 4 or 5 more years building the team with a mix of young and old “talents”

Im not saying he wont do good for the following years, I mean that last year was probably the "bigger" year of his carreer, from now on I think his motivation to win another ring will go down... and this year he said for the first time that he has nothing else to prove, his goals will be different
2019-02-26 19:01
Makes sense. It’s time for kd giannis and the young talent to usher itself in.

Apparently you didnt watch finals last year then... Cavs had the chance to win game 1 at GSW homecourt... if they had won that the hype/momentum would've been a lot different and there would be a chance for the cavs to win... not saying they would win, but the chance would be A LOT higher... and JR smith threw it in the end... youtube.com/watch?v=jsXtGKbwRI8

I did watch it, and Cavs were swept. 1 game won wouldn’t change the final result in any way, you’re delusional if you think Cavs would’ve won the finals if they won that 1 game lol
2019-02-26 10:29
Game 1 was extremely close because cavs played really well until jr smith fucked everything up for them. You can't just ignore that. I also think they would lose anyway but not in that fashion. It would be a much closer series. That's for sure.

Kyrie definately isnt coming to LA and, Kawhi might come to LA but will most likely join the clippers. No star player is willing to come under his shadow coz all they will become are a tool for him to win lebron another ring just like Kobe at the end.

The Lakers "young core" is overrated as fuck... - Kuzma is okay and might be a borderline AllStar in a few years - Ingram showed no progress at all - Lonzo .417 FT%... LMAO HOW ?! They are by far a worse team then the Cavs last year... it would be a miracle if they even reach the 1st round

Kuzma can improve Ingram is playing well Ball is a very good defensive player I never said lakers were better, also it’s hard to judge just by their placings because the west is way more competitive than the east

+1
2019-02-26 16:19
Surely they can improve but James is 34 and they need like 5 years to even be close to be good enough to contend.. Ingram playing good LMAO .322 3P% with 1.8 3PA isn't good at all... .670 FT% and not useful in defense.. overall he is like Jabari Parker and will never be a star player. Lonzo is a good defensive player true but his overall game just sucks... FT% is just about training but somehow he is worse then Shaq.. this is unacceptable... Kuzma is the only one who seems to improve a bit but his ceiling is clearly not enough to carry them

>More entertaining No shit. Televised games are scripted and 1/3 of the league is tanking. Not very entertaining when both teams are trying to lose. >Better Quality overall Like 90% of plays are pull up threes, fouls on drives or pick and roll. Where's the quality? \ Watch one game right now and all 3 players will move around arc waiting for 1 dude to drive while big men tries to screen everything. If something comes out of pick and roll within 10 seconds, good else just run around and iso the superstar for stepback pullup. Players like Giannis can average 20 points a game alone on fast breaks. That means just someone got lucky. NBA has gone shit quality

Watch Euroleague playoffs whatever they are called and then judge both. There's ball movement, post work, creativity, lanes and dimes in euroleague games. There's effort and defense. Non playoff NBA Games are such a big snoozefest, I'd rather watch Soccer

nt you never played or watched basketball it seems and I watch a lot of NBA and Euroleague
2019-02-26 16:03
I watched tons of basketball my whole life and was actually around for Michael Jordan's prime, you don't know basketball my friend all you know is the new NBA which is soft and has no defense, teams scoring 150 points a game shits hilariously, open 3s every game, people even look at someone it's a foul with free throws being shot etc, Euros do not have basketball culture only certain players were ever good enough for the NBA and even then almost all of the Euro players in the NBA were flops that's why I said there is some RARE exceptions.

true, I think his aspirations actually ended when they didn't get AD. Here's what I think his thought process was: 1) Move out of Cleveland to LA and not play with a bunch of bums 2) Recruit AD to LA to help win a title (cause he'll never play in Cleveland) 3) If he doesn't come to LA, coast for the rest of the season and wait till summer to kick back, make movies and some $$$ he's basically just waiting for his son to come to the NBA so he can play with him, he's done everything he can in terms of legacy, everything else is just fodder for the fire.
