I know about Brie Larson, but I don't care if it doesn't contaminate the movie, and she's an actor, not a script writer, and she'll say what she's told. Also, bear in mind Carol Danvers has been a Kree for all the life she can remember, and I doubt the Kree have a "patriarchy" and "wage gaps", so I don't know how she can politicise that.
Black Panther did look at race, but it wasn't "waaayyyyyyy too much" at all. It is true that in modern history, black people have been mistreated, and Killmonger's anger towards Wakanda for not helping its African neighbours, despite being the richest country in the world BY FAR, is reasonable. It creates a villain that you can almost half-agree with. His motive is good but his methods are not, and it's actually a good part of the story. How is it too much?
