If they wouldn't I would guess it would be a massive PR storm last WESG, which didn't happen.

2019-03-12 17:25

Those teams are just desperate and are able to wait ages for the however many months delay lmao
2019-03-12 16:39
delay is way different than not paying.

T1 teams have better shit to do than worry about $500k by contacting constantly
2019-03-12 16:42
Tell me a better tournament to make money, 850,000$ prizepool, with such low level of competitivity.

You know that when they refuse to pay before the deadline, you have to contact them, which is something that keeps you off the game, makes you worried or/and takes money for the staff.. especially when communicating with Chinese which speak barely any English and live in another time zone.. makes sense it are mainly EU teams dropping out then aswell.
2019-03-12 16:58
they can't win any other tournament anyway, this is the perfect opportunity for them. That is why they are playing
2019-03-12 16:46
you mean g2 and fnatic, I agree.
2019-03-12 16:48
i mean all three of them don't you worry
2019-03-12 17:21
Get some respect when you are talking about probably the 3 most sucessful teams on CSGO. Unless you arive after 2017. Verygames, fnatic and Luminosity.
2019-03-12 17:25
Dunno if ur trolling or what, their rosters changed completely (except MIBR) so you can't talk about this the way you are right now. G2 is a failed team at this point (unless they start performing with Amanek), fnatic with xizt... just no. MIBR is a contender but still, they can't manage to win tournaments over Astralis. Tho I don't deny their dominance in the past, those are the facts nowadays.

2019-03-12 16:41
why watch no namers
2019-03-12 17:22
WESG has always been a T3 tournament with T0 money. Nothing has changed since Alibaba decided to wave their massive dick around.
2019-03-12 17:27
I thought the same for the dota tournament until i went to a chinese stream for one of the games. Chat was basically moving as fast as it would for any major. Its their biggest tournament so they actually get a shit load of traffic on chinese streaming sites
