Friendly reminder any cables you have in your house might get assaulted and chewed, or they might not. Depends on the rabbit tbh.

Do it . I have a rabbit as well . She is 3 yo . First 8-9 months is so good tbh . Just jumping around , running around , giving you love .. You just need to give he/she love and food . Then enjoy every move he/she makes. After a year its not gonna be that funny but still sometimes jumping and following you.. Just a lot of fun basically .
2019-03-19 18:34
seems good bro, thats a definition of a fun pet
2019-03-19 19:12
Yes adopt one, if you have a gf she will love it
2019-03-19 18:43

2019-03-19 19:15

2019-03-19 19:17

Rabbits all behave differently. If you build a strong connection with them and play with them often, then they will be a good pet. Also become familiar with rabbit body language to see what you rabbit will like and what they dislike. Also if you do get a rabbit do your research well. Never bathe them; they should clean themselves, but if you have to help them out use a washcloth so as not to bother their skin. Feed them all the timothy hay that you want, give them a smaller amount of pellets once per day. THey can have vegetables like carrots celery or lettuce a few times a day. As a rare treat you can give them fruit like apple, banana or berries. Do not give them nuts as nuts are bad for rabbits.
2019-03-19 19:26
ty for the tips bro, very useful. i decided to get him, and will treat him the best possible

when they are a baby a smaller cage is fine, but as they grow it is good to buy or make a bigger cage. I have two rabbits which live in a four story cage where they can jump up onto higher levels. That way it gives them a bit more space and it doesn't take up a huge space in your home. You could also try making a rabbit pen if you have the space (tall enough that they cant jump out) and you can add little obstacles for them to run around. One more thing, I would recommend buying a litterbox for your rabbit and training them to use it. If you move their poop into the litterbox whenever possible they start to associate the litterbox as the place where they go to the bathroom. You can use things like cat litter pellets as a bed for the litterbox. And most times rabbits like to eat while they go to the bathroom, so keeping hay close by would be smart.
2019-03-19 19:47
nice, since he's a baby yet, will be easiest to teach him these tips btw, i will create a little house for him with wood, maybe he'll like or dont give a fuck, idk xD... i will try to move his poop to the litterbox as much as i can and i will let him free on the backyard i think he will have fun

2019-03-20 12:05
You wanna keep him indoor or outdoor?
2019-03-19 19:38
i will keep him outdoor, but my backyard is pretty small still open, but dont know if he needs a large area
2019-03-19 19:40
we kept our rabbits also outside, the got a space around 8m² (2 rabbits) and that was more than enough :D just make sure to give them carrots and salad, thats what ours loved :D you should also be ok with 3m² in my opinion for 1 rabbit
2019-03-19 19:41
hmmm, thats nice my backyard have around 10m² and i will get only one rabbit ... he'll have a good space then

for the carrots, only do it sometimes cause apparently rabbits can get sick for eating them. main things to feed them are just leafy veggies like cabbage.

You can't tell their gender when they are really young, and if you have the money to get them spayed or neutered it is recommended as it increases their life span. And in the case of females they will become less territorial once they are fixed.
2019-03-19 19:48
they're really young in the case, and i was thinking about spay him
2019-03-19 19:56
hey man hope u have fun, rabbits seem cool😎
2019-03-19 19:46
yeah bro
2019-03-19 19:58
Make sure to train it so it can learn things because they're smart. You can make it a smart house rabbit. If you put the cage at a corner of the house and have it stay there for a while. Then let him roam around and then put him back, he'll get used to poop and pee in the cage and eating in cage, and then he roam around and hop around again and then he'll go back to corner to pee and poop. They're cute and fun mate.

rabbits don't actually like carrots, this is a myth that comes from bugs bunny. You can feed them carrots from time to time, but it definitely won't be some kind of amazing treat for them

for food, just feed them mainly leafy veggies like cabbage. for carrots only do it sometimes or as a treat because rabbits apparently can get sick for eating them.

Very fun pets! If you give them care, attention, and space, you will see that it will make them very happy :) Just remember to always give them a lot of water and hay to eat. Not too many vegetables, and research which food is okay to feed them beforehand. If you keep them inside, be sure to give them a lot a space to run around because they are very active animals. Clean the bedding once or twice a week. Some additional advice: if you can, I suggest getting the rabbit a friend to keep them company. Have fun with your new friend! If you have any questions feel free to ask me :)

you should get 2, 10m² is enough for 2 and they live in groups, cleaning each other etc. just make sure you castrate/ neuter them before adulthood (or get 2 females, but they might regulary fight each other)
2019-03-19 21:26
i had the option to get 2, but i thought he would be ok i got him yesterday, and looks like he's afraid, he's always in the corners, dunno if he's missing his family or is just adapting to the new place ... if he dont be ok, i will pick up the other rabbit

it's normal for rabbits to be very anxious in a new environment, it should get better after some days. you should still get a 2nd one though
