copy off of wiki, find the academic source in the sources list @ wiki, done ez
2019-03-21 12:17
Wikipedia isnt directly a source but wikipedia gives you alot of information and sourcelinks which you can use to do your stuff. If you just use wikipedia itself, that wuld be pretty bad though.

weird, it only occurs when you access german version. Nothing happens on english/french/spanish/italian. P.S. It directly says they shot down wikipedia in protest against Article 13. I have no idea why only german one was shut down tho =D
2019-03-21 00:25
True, Germany probably trying to censor internet again (wow such a surprise) so wikipedia fight against it.
2019-03-21 00:21

2019-03-21 00:23
Do you want me to send you what you are looking for on wikipedia? But it will be in polish because unlike for germans it works for us.
2019-03-21 00:24
I can just use the english wiki, it works fine
2019-03-21 00:25
Yes, it works for every languages only not german. Keep up your internet censoring policy, it's doing you so much good.

Probably an act of "GERMAN-SPEAKING WIKIPEDIA-COMMUNITY". Interesting actually, other European wiki-communities should do the same.

Probably true, fuck EU and their censorship. Those bitches can't solve any real problems only make new...

There's only one plausible explanation, the Earth is flat and the wifi fell off the Earth before it could reach Germany.

Translation?
2019-03-21 00:49
(by google translate) THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE. HELP US TO MODERNIZE COPYRIGHT IN EUROPE. Dear visitor, why can not you use wikipedia as usual? The authors of Wikipedia have decided to turn off Wikipedia today in protest against parts of the planned EU copyright reform. This law is due to be passed by the European Parliament on 27th March. The proposed reform could severely restrict the free Internet. Even the smallest internet platforms would have to preemptively prevent copyright infringement of their users (Article 13 of the planned law), which in practice would only be possible by means of error-prone and abuse-prone upload filters. In addition, all web pages for short text extracts from press products would have to acquire licenses in order to comply with a new publisher right (Article 11). Both together could significantly affect the freedom of opinion, art and the press. Although at least Wikipedia is explicitly exempt from Article 13 of the new Copyright Directive (but not Article 11), Free Knowledge will suffer even if Wikipedia remains an oasis in the filtered desert of the Internet. Around five million people protest in a petition, 145 civil rights and human rights organizations, business and IT associations (including Bitkom, the German start-up association or the Chaos Computer Club), Internet against the reform in its current version Pioneers such as Tim Berners-Lee, journalists' associations and creatives. We therefore request that you contact the Members of the European Parliament and inform them of your position on the planned reform. Thank you.

Dunno, I got it from some imageboard. I won't use it myself, since I use the english wikipedia myself, if needed, but honestly in Germany there are many people that do not understand the """"advanced"""" english on english wikipedia pages.

But it dosent answer my question

You got to ask the creator of this image to get a proper answer for your question, I guess he did not actually wanted upvotes on the imageboard, so he put in something that is associated with negative stuff, i.e. TikTok, so people would be triggered and less likely to upvote his content. So in conclusion he is probably a shit-poster, but this time around he actually tried to help people. But in the end, you really got to ask the content creator, since I dont really know.

When I was in school we weren't allowed to use Wikipedia as a Source for or home work. Even the sources on Wikipedia were often banned as sources... to be fair; for the major part of my schooling Wikipedia didn't even exist.

And thats bullshit. Wikipedia is a very good start to dig into a topic and the references at the bottom lead you to other sources. Teacher that disallow Wikipedia are just stubborn and cannot realize that everyone will take a look into Wikipedia. Why not just teach the pupils how to handle the information you get from it and that every information needs to be verified. But looking into the primary source aka references and reading them, will automatically give the student a good start into his research. If he doesnt solely rely on Wikipedia and continues his research, then Wikipedia is a great resource for researching an unknown topic.

There is a reason why Swedish schools are dropping quite hard. We talk a lot about Source criticism and how to get sources but we don't learn how to process information. Schools in Sweden have become indoctrination centers and not institution of knowledge and learning

1-Click on URL 2-put "0" before wikipedia (eg.: www.0wikipedia.com/ur_mom_gay) 3-Enjoy If it doesn't work, I don't know any other way. That's how we use wikipedia since it's banned for years.
