2019-03-21 02:27
How is nrg t1, theyre tier 3 and arguably even 4

NRG are a solid tier 2 and at certain points dodging tier 1. What the fuck are you talking about?
2019-03-21 03:10
Let me teach you a lesson, son. Definition of tier: In general, a tier is a row or layer in a series of similarly arranged objects. Meaning that you divide the teams in groups by skill similarity, making those with close skills, and only those, grouped on the same tier. As for the actual tier list, Astralis is so far ahead of other teams that they're on a tier of its own, hence they are the sole tier 1 atm and its been like this for quite a long time now, this is an undeniable fact. As for tier 2 you have TL, NaVi and arguably both FaZe and Mibr. Now as for tier 3 onwards things get a bit cloudy since teams start to get inconsistent and lose to lower skill teams quite often, making it a bit hard to actually measure their skill level. Given that, we can safely say NRG is at most tier 3. I hope I have been useful, Greetins from NikoKilledAstralis

I know Astralis are far ahead of any other team, which is why I consider them tier Astralis, or tier 0. In that sense, Na'Vi and Liquid were easily the only two teams who could put up a fight against Astralis so I consider them tier 1. FaZe, MIBR, NRG, Mousesports and so on come next, with a relative upset potential towards tier 1 teams, eventually dodging tier 1 from time to time. To whom are you trying to teach anything? lmao
2019-03-21 03:48
You really believe NRG and Mousesports to be on the same skill level as FaZe and MIBR and almost reaching NaVi and TL levels? You clearly stated that here ~"NRG are a solid tier 2 and at certain points dodging tier 1". 0 IQ fan of Xyp9x

Yes I am. NRG fell to 11th on the rankings because they had an unfortunate Major. They were impeccable in the qualifier and had been doing great prior to that, getting a few top 4 placings in 2018's events. They didn't just jump onto top 4 in the rankings for no reason. Mousesports started slacking some time ago and obviously aren't as good as they were back in mid 2018 but they were tier 1-2 for the majority of 2018. Ironically, only your username makes my IQ spike to 195 without saying a word myself.
2019-03-21 04:01
Ok, I'm getting your reasoning. Now, if you make a case for Astralis being tier -1 I can agree with you on NRG being tier 2

Astralis does not have its own tier.
2019-03-21 04:55
Sure they dont

+1 NRG I think is T1. When NaVi went through a rough stretch they were still considered T1 for the most part. I think continental bias is what is directing his "t3 at the most" talk. There is no hard and fast T1, T2, etc. ranking. It's really up to individuals and the community what constitutes a "tier". My personal evaluation says that at a certain tier any of the teams can beat each other, but rarely gets beaten by someone at a lower level. Astralis is basically on a level of their own, but you can't really say they're Tier 1 because they're up there by themselves. Under them are 4 or 5 times that can beat each other but shouldn't lost to those under them. I'd say they are Tier 1 (and include Astralis in that group, even if they are basically unbeatable). T1 = Astralis, Liquid, Navi, NRG, Faze, MiBR, and at the moment perhaps ENCE. T2 = Those that aren't realistically going to be going to finals but can make some close series. Mouz, NiP, Renegades, FNatic, Vitality, etc . T3 = Those teams that haven't broken through yet. They may be on the rise and may rise to T2 or may fall and never make it... like Avangar, Cloud9, G2, Ghost, Complexity, etc... and yes; Furia

still T3 if Furia wins against NRG tomorrow maybe T2
2019-03-21 02:32
a tier is not defined by one game. Even winning tomorrow, they'll still be T3. FURIA will only be T2 if they beat every T3 and some T2 constantly - not just one game

top 20: tier 2 for me, that's how it goes. But some can argue the tier by most recent major result.

Applies for top 10 being tier 1 as well? because if that's your logic, I'd be offended to be any of the top 5 teams and being put on the same level as Renegades or Cloud9.

Yes it applies and I don't see reason to be offended. C9 is a bad moment now with many roster changes and Renegades had a great campaign last major, the only team to take a map from Astralis lol. These teams can definitely put a fight to each other.
