CS:GO is the best CS
Spain Sneakers
People think CS:GO might be the worse CS. But it isnt. It's clearly the best CS to date. And Valve is not even finished with it. CS1.6 was fun, but it wasnt as competitive as CS:GO. There was some movement glitches that made it a bit ridiculous, like the running/crouching that made u silent run, and hitboxes were fucked. CS:S was always behind of 1.6, and didnt go anywhere. and CS:GO has blown up. In tournaments, Esports, variety of the game, is possibly at an all time peak. Yes or no^?

only played GO so +1
2019-03-21 12:31
Tbh u missed some great fun maps and moments in old CS. Which csgo doesnt have. But better late than never!
2019-03-21 13:49
not a single person ever said that cs:go is the worst cs. 0/8
2019-03-21 12:31
no one genuinely thinks that. what youve read is people too nostalgic to use good reasoning and logic. literally. no one. thinks csgo. isn't the best cs. no one.
2019-03-21 12:31
Yea people that are nostalgic and keep talking about 1.6 like it was the best ever. But if we didnt have an evolution to CS:GO, most possibly CS would of died.

+1 but I need to say that I miss the lan house times and the map variation. Noawdays play anything than competitive is just trash. I miss so much many maps from old times...well, I just stoped play anyway

I have to agree. I was a huge fan of 1.6 and there are still a few things I prefer about 1.6 to GO, but overall it is way behind.

Its nice game but I hate lag compensation. I'm 1.6 it was impossible to carry game with 100+ping. In Cs go u have lag and peek advantage:\
2019-03-21 12:33
csgo is the most polished game there is, not only in the cs franchise, but overall. One single game continously updated and balanced makes for a great game. Its just that the playerbase is very picky when it comes to bugs and likewise
2019-03-21 12:33
I agree. CS:GO is VERY well polished, in fact its the most "polished" CS since its existance. old CS like i said, had A LOT of glitches (that were part of the game.. yes. But in the end, it made it slightly unfair for some people).

CS GO and Source - worst cs for small kids with low brain, 1.6 - better cs, not wallbang, ugly models, ugly multiplier, video and pc high requirements, easy spray control for low brain idiots, all Bullet into one spot 1.6 for True old school guys, hard multiplier, hard spray control, wallbang, double duck and many other interesting things... and CS series die already, CS go and source its not cs, its trash for kids with skins and many other

Not competitive? So much bullshit. Teams had to actually put their money to go to events. Only teams like SK, NIP, and like basically top 5 in the world had decent salary even then it wasn't as high as it is today. Players had to sacrifice a lot of welfare and emotion just to compete in top professional gaming. in 2005 there was at least 10 top teams in the world that all had a chance at winning a title, sk-gaming, nip, 3d, mouz, pentagram, coL, lunatic-hai, catch, team9, Begrip Gaming! etc.
2019-03-21 12:34
doesn t mean its more competetive. flawed logic.
2019-03-21 12:35
EU had a top team, NA had atop team, frigging ASIA had a good team? That isn't more competitive? ok denmark!
2019-03-21 12:36
So... like a fraction of what exists today? Moron.
2019-03-21 12:37
Comparing Numbers of pros of the thsn today is stupid, most of the pros back then 1.3-1.6 was their first game and they found it at like age 15-25, the internet was new and they weren't born into computers like today, esport was barely a thing. Back then it wasn't cool to play games. Do you know how exports got big? They dumbed down the entire gaming industry to make it more accessible, thus results.
2019-03-21 12:59
I should have wrote some context. Back in those days every team had to try hard on every LAN event ago. There was no 'throw' involved. Because of lower prize money, they know they had to play 120% as opposed to today they don't need to try hard as much to earn a decent pay. Even though there's lots of team the quality of teams have dropped abruptly. Back then top 3 teams were the hierarchy, now it's everyone's game and can beaten by tier 9999 team on some random online or lan event.
2019-03-21 14:35
U cant compare the Esports scene of old CS with nowadays CS:GO.. u will end up losing on all aspects of it. -money prize pools been the highest ever. -more teams than ever. -more tournament organizers than ever. -more spectators than ever before. -Valve doing Majors. Tho.. CS 1.6 did start the lan tournaments.. someone has to start making them, and CS was one of the first. Which is nice. (with Quake).

Wtf dude... Now You have these Lan's called "Major"... Katowice for ex : Challenger, Legendary and Champions stage, where top teams doesn't need to qualify? This is competitive? If You know what am talking about, check WCG nor ESWC. Any body could qualify for a Lan. All teams were playing from the very beginning. Money prize? Yes, if You are doing it only for money... More teams? Yes dude, we are in 2019 not in 1999..... More tournaments? Look up. Same for specs.... Dude i am on the scene from cs 1.0, so please don't tell us, old school Guys that it is more competitive right now. I still remember playing CS without steam, 1.0, 1.5. The old good CS created IEM, ESL, ESWC, WCG, DH etc. It was way before CS:GO... Lovely years btw. PLaying competitive aztec nor tuscan, od dust.... There wasn't one Team winning everything..... Do You remember teams like MyM? Specster? Spixel? Titans? Team3D? NoA? Mb players. Heaton, Spawn, Walle, Shaguar, Zonic, Loord, Sheen, Spacca, btt, Cogu? Cheers

CSS was so much fun thanks to the community Maybe it's because I'm french that I think that way, but honestly we lost something with CSGO compared to CSS on the community servers But you're right, considering the competitive aspect, CSS was the worst, and CSGO is the best imo
2019-03-21 12:48
Yea thats the main fault i see on csgo, is all the community 'fun' maps, that have pretty much disappeared and wont return back either for what it seems.
2019-03-21 13:02
I always loved the gun games and death runs etc in CSS that was the most fun i had on that game.
2019-03-21 14:39
the fact that you still have to reinforce this idea in 2019 shows that it is not
2019-03-21 12:49
1.6 offered many viable playstyles and team metas than GO does, mainly due to movement, skill gap was higher due to model to map ratio making it much harder to aim. CSGO is very polished game with a smaller skill gap that's easy to learn but hard to master. Astralias as amazing as they are, I believe they've hit the CSGO meta ceiling imo which never happened in 1.6. People love star players and top aimers like simple, if simple mastered 1.6 he would dominate even harder due to the skill ceiling in 1.6 for example. Another example how movement was a huge skill in 1.6 Neo was better than forest, if you look at these players in CSGO forest is a much better CSGO player. I don't think 1.6 is perfect I would put alot of things in 1.6 from CSGO but as a whole CSGO is a toned down version of 1.6 by design. End of the day valve patched 1.6 to fuck the game up after CSGO was released so people were forced to switch, at the end of the day skins saved CSGO. If we had all the pros in 1.6 from go now I assure you it would be a much more enjoyable viewing experience, the plays.
2019-03-21 12:53
Yea i agree the movement gave more freedom to the players and had more playstyle, but then again there wasnt mollys in that time and i feel it wasnt as tactical as CSGO is nowadays. Also for what i can remember it was more about tapping other than spray and pray how it is now. And The comparision with players i have my doubts.. that Its because of the change of game, i think its more of the fact that one has Lost motivation to play CS at a top lvl and f0rest still wants it. They are very old players and age is kinda what i see the reason of where they are now. Which is understandable and they will keep Being legends for me.
2019-03-21 13:09
Call of duty style AUG, and SG .... and ALL Pro Players come out from pro scene in 2012, because they dont want play in this shit called CS GO CS go - only commercial game. Valve want money, 1.6 not get money. Modern PC games with high requirements easy for trade at high end PC.
2019-03-21 13:08
Thats beacuse csgo was trash in 2012 by the time late 2013 or 2014 came around it was way better then 1.6

csgo is a better game, no doubt, its easier to learn and way more polished.
2019-03-21 14:20
ive played 1.6 css and csgo i rank fun wise 1.csgo 2.css 3.1.6 competitive wise 1.csgo 2.1.6 3.css
2019-03-21 14:37
csgo is good, but 1.6 is somehow simple and good :) but nowadays its too obvious that graphics are outdated.
2019-03-21 14:38
I've got to agree with you, that's why I'm excited for things like Counter-Strike: Classic Offensive. Watching the progress, if people take an interest in making it competitive (Which they can do) there's potential for it to be a modern take on what people loved with 1.6, but in a more fixed and competitive manner, almost like the ultimate comparison. From remastered maps, custom wallbanging mechanics (That are more reasonable than CS:GO or 1.6), and pretty much all the work being done by a small but dedicated team of CS:GO and 1.6 fans. I want to see how it compares to GO
