youtu.be/YX5QYITLEBI Watching this video made me realize how beautiful NYC is and how great humans can be under capitalism. No EU city comes close to this. Paris, London, Berlin... Not even close.

i lived in nyc for 2years and it was great. Only downside imho: trashbags on streets, they dont have a proper system for that, and the occasional homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk. I lived in London and I hate that place in comparison, people much more egoistic and so on
2019-03-31 15:49
I agree. It's an awesome city, but unless you've walked around and realized that every 10 steps you take has a different penetrative odor and how the sound of cars honking non-stop + ignoring zebra crosses and the obnoxiously loud wailing sirens of policecars are, you're really only watching an illusion. Again though, awesome city. Just a tad overrated indeed.

Agreed, Have been in Rome, Barcelona subways recently too and those weren’t any cleaner.
2019-03-24 15:54
This highly depends what areas you go to. The biggest complaint about the subways isn't that it's dirty, but the extensive delays of the subways. Maybe you came on a lucky day and didn't have to experience the shitshow that is morning rush hour with subway delays.

for me european cities are better for one reason, nyc is a beautifiull but without history. only modern buildings , european cities are like "ancient" ,old building that show how people live in the past, beautifull monuments and full of history
2019-03-24 15:32
You can't say it's without history. Yea, it does not have the long history like Europe but it is almost 400 years old.
2019-03-24 15:36
You do realize that 400 years is not considered to be any significant "history"
2019-03-24 16:10
That's subjective. A lot of human activity happens in 400 years. I know when it comes to the history of nations and places the US is very young compared to the ancient cultures but It has a history. You could easily spend a lifetime just reading books about American history.
2019-03-24 16:24
Yeah but you can also spend a lifetime reading books and researching about the leg structure of ants. What i meant is that 400 years of history isn't enough to enrich a country with history and historical culture. They don't have any truly historic and original architecture, cuisine and culture.
2019-03-24 16:57
I doubt you can spend a lifetime learning about ant leg structure. You are just making stuff up. America not only has original architecture, cuisine, and culture, but it varies from region to region. You clearly do not know much about American history and culture. We aren't even one big nation, but many unique regions that have their own unique styles.
2019-03-24 17:39
"we" found the fake flagger allright. Well it's not my fault if you haven't even seen real history, culture and cuisine in your life. You see i'm of Turkish origin and we have thousands of years of civilizations in our lands, the most diverse cuisine and a culture, architecture that absorbed the collective culture of the thousands of different civilzatations that have thrived on this land. So you literally have no culture nor history compared to most places on earth.
2019-03-24 17:43
I've never tried to pass myself off as Swiss and I've always professed openly where I'm from. I have personal reasons for not using the US flag. I know what "real" history, culture, etc. is -- being that I've spent 20 years studying history and absorbing myself into other people's culture. I've not only studied American history but Greek, Roman, British, Swiss, Christian, Hebrew, Egyptian, Babylonian, among other ancient peoples history. I don't need to see a 1000 year old castle in person to appreciate history.
2019-03-24 17:51
America has a culture of large servings, ignorance, guns and school shootings. Not to mention their motto "bigger is better" lmfao what a shitshow of a culture
2019-03-24 19:23
That's not American culture. You clearly don't know what culture means. Keeping getting your idea of the world from TV and media though. It's working so well for you.
2019-03-24 19:51
+1 they (we) invaded a country, robbed everything possible to make most out of it and in terms of materialism, it worked pretty well. What you mentioned is all they have it seems. They killed everything that was cultural when they claimed their piece. Greedy as today.
2019-03-24 20:08
yup
2019-03-24 20:11
In the US you have 5 major cultures that all have different food, architecture, manners, accents, and even laws. The South The Northeast Midwest Southwest Northwest All of these regions have vast differences between each other.

400 years is nothing my guy. America has almost no history

if we are talking relative to the history of humans then 400 is a drop in the pond you can't even argue with that

So what I am saying is that 400 years is basically no history
2019-03-31 14:43
There is a lot of history to study and learn from in 400 years, especially recently as there has been many new inventions, economic, and political situations. However, this is nothing compared to the thousands of years of history that some countries have. You agree with this, I agree with this. You don’t have to keep arguing for the sake of saying “America has no history lol”.

2019-03-24 15:32
What if he thinks a modern metropol is beautiful looking city? It is all preference.
2019-03-24 15:55
It is true that it is all a preference. Although almost no one would agree that high rises are beautiful when compared to old cities who have both highrises and areas where new technology is at the center but also has big old and beautiful city centers which has suvived millenia and gives the city true soul.
2019-03-24 16:15
Most European cities are boring af!
2019-03-25 18:36
lol. Which ones did you visit?
2019-03-26 12:03
All the "important" ones. Most European cities die as soon as the sun set, epecially during week days. And I am talking about capitals, if we go to the country side things are even worse. An 100k city in the USA has way more things to do/offer than its European counterparts. I've been all around Europe during the time that I lived in Paris, and I love your continent for many reasons, but entertainment, or "having a soul" is surely not among them.
2019-03-26 14:54
I gotta say that is the first time i've ever heard that opinion, but if you feel that way then that's the way you feel. However most people would disagree with you, except for the dieing at night part, on that regard I would tend to agree.
2019-03-26 15:15
Yes, I know that it can be an unpopular opinion, but for me, on a foreigner point of view, "having a soul" should mean that the city is trully alive. It should mean a place where you can meet, interact and socialize with locals, not only go out on a daily tour taking pictures of old buildings and being fed with historical stuff.

2019-03-27 02:18
As long as you are looking at it at night and from a distance -- yes, it's beautiful. But down on the street in the city itself it's not so beautiful. It's a fun place to visit though. I've been there twice.

paris looks like shit from any angle. it is filthy. you can see from miles away. you can smell it too. all those aerial videos require a lot of photoshop to remove all the grime and smog from the picture and brighten the colors. i cant tell about new york coz i havent been there but when i hear someone say that paris is the most beautiful city theyve seen i know they have never traveled anywhere worthwhile.
2019-03-24 16:00
well its a city ruined by immigration which is very sad
2019-03-24 15:59
it was already filthy 200 years ago, the french are simply disgusting people. one of the first cities in the world with central sewer system, but people just threw shit in the streets. youtube.com/watch?v=y7WJ1rnUMqY this is every day in paris
2019-03-24 16:02
haha wtf. well Ive bee nthere once when I was a kid so dont need to go there anymore. At least it looks pretty good from above
2019-03-24 16:04
yeah it looks good from a airplane window and thats as close as i will get voluntarily
2019-03-24 16:06
Central new york isn’t bad at ground level though.
2019-03-24 16:00

tall buildings with no sense of art and concrete worlds, you call that beauty? European cities are much better with proper artistic architecture, rich history and green cities. GL living in nyc and not getting depressed in the middle of all that chaos.
2019-03-24 16:00
berlin has green. because it was bombed to hell and then there was a lot of space for parks. other big cities in europe that havent been destroyed completely in the past century dont have a lot of green. they have a lot of smog and traffic jams. all those old buildings are black with hundreds of years of ash from car exhausts and factories. and they are all square and look the same anyway. if youve seen 1 from the inside youve seen them all.
2019-03-24 16:07
well you can say the same thing about half of america, towns and farming cities with cucky rednecks and horrible architechture. Europe is the pinnacle of artistic architechure, especially the cities of renaissance. Europe is full of history and the cities in general have a cozy warm vibe to them. Big cities like NYC are depressive af and you feel lost in them.
2019-03-24 16:07
maybe you can say that about the sagrada familia in barcelona but paris amsterdam berlin and rome are NOT pretty cities. they have some tourist traps that are well designed, like in berlin the park in front of the Reichstag. and of course in rome there are old ruins that had nice architecture 2000 years ago before they were ruined. but if you actually go into the cities beyond the tourist traps, you will see rows of gray depressing flats that will make you believe you accidentily took the plane to Belgrade.
2019-03-24 16:11
Belgrade is a nice city. It is less depressive and chaotic than NYC. If you are relating the bad cities in europe to belgrade, our understanding of good cities is marginally different
2019-03-24 16:12
im just saying that paris and berlin made me feel very depressed when i was there. not nice cities to live. a lot of poverty and pain in those streets.
2019-03-24 16:12
It's preference ofc. But I very much enjoy the vibe of most European cities. On the other hand large cosmopolitan US cities make me feel depressed and too small, too lonely.
2019-03-24 16:13
yeah nice vibe. people living under newspapers in alleys, drugdealers and addicts everywhere, lots of smog (as bad for your health as smoking a lot of cigarettes)
2019-03-24 16:16
ok it's time for you to stfu you gay ass netherlands. Your fucking country is flat af, no mountains lol.

As someone who lives on a hill who can see NYC without having to travel 20 minutes to the George Washington Bridge, it's a little overrated to me. Perhaps I only say that because I'm by it and it doesn't surprise me as much as it would surprise others. It's also way too expensive to do nearly anything there. HOWEVER...you can smoke pot there and not get arrested, which is quite nice. And some of it is quite cool, despite obnoxious prices to do a lot of things there. If you've never been, I recommend hitting the skyline and the Chelsea Market. for starters.

i have been to many EU countries and NY, and i can say EU is better for tourists. idk about living in any of those places cause like i said, i went as a tourist. NY is too crowded, people are rude as fuck, streets are dirty, subway is dirty, just a bad place in general apart from the statue of liberty and some other places, which are just for tourists. In EU, I went to Portugal, Spain, and Germany; all the places i went to (cant remember names tbh lol) were all pretty clean, people werent too rude, and there mostly wasnt any traffic, except for portugal. I still think living in the US is better, but that might be because i already live here lol
