Eating problem

Hey guys, 2 months ago I started getting this phobia of choking after I almost choked with a piece of orange. During the last 2 months I managed to somewhat calm myself down and eat kind of normally (I still was scared, probably didnt think about it that much) Recently I have had some stress caused by school and driving school and I told my parents about this, they are the type of parents that dont trust these things and they told me something like "just eat", my dad accepted that there could be this problem and he told me to eat slowly and try to remain calm. I really cant keep up with this though, I want to eat normally and as much as I like. What to do?

Since this sounds like a mental problem more than a physical problem (and since i'm not an expert on this kind of stuff) i'd suggest you go see a specialist/ expert and talk to them about it. I hope you're doing okay and find a way how to deal with it soon!

I would recommend eating small portions of food and masticate your food many times before swallowing. Idk dont make it such a big deal

Well take it step by step buddy, or just man up and stop being afraid of choking.
