Well that’s what a democracy is.
51 votes beat 49 votes
3 votes beat 2 votes
Its democracy at its finest, vote for person a to get to EU parlament, person A fucks everyone over and and does what he wants in parlament.
Never been a democracy, no country has been a true democracy. A true demoacracy woulf be where people have a vote for every law but no one wants to do that. Also democracy doesn’t inherently mean free speech
What do you suggest instead of democracy?
there is no true democracy. why do people overuse the word so much??
There is no democracy
It is still a democracy. You have to see that there are people Out there who Just Vote for their party because they did the Same for the past 30 years. These people dont really Care what their Party is doing as Long as the base of the party stayed the same.
So parties can do lobbying Like in this case and can Secret paperwork Like in this case and will still be voted for.
Lobbying : Guy who brought Up the law is friends with biggest German publishing company
Secret stuff (Not 100% proofed): German Economy minister and french Economy minister, french Economy minister gets hard laws like article 13 and German Economy minister gets Nordstream 2 (or however it's called)
It's a democracy.
But in this case it shows what flaws democracy has.
The people that voted for Article 13 were able to do so because they were chosen as a representive by the people.
The only "unfair" thing is that Poland & Sweden will get fucked by it even though all of our MP's voted against it.
Yeah , it hurts you but get over it
